Legendary Shadow

Once Liam got to the Bellsprout Tower, he slowly made his way up the tower defeating the monks one by one. Kabuto and Omanyte were getting stronger from each battle. When they reached the top, Liam faced off against the top monk Elder Li and defeated him easily. Just when Liam was about to leave, the monk asked Liam to stay for a day or two to meditate and train with them. Elder Li could sense some evilness within Liam, so he wanted to help him out. 

Elder Li told Liam that he had one more Pokémon he's been training for years and that he wanted Liam to face off with him. Liam could only shake his head as he knew this was true and that he needed to cultivate his mind more in order to gain control of his powers. So, he agreed to it and they also had their last match which surprised Liam because the guy brought out a huge Bellsprout. 

When Liam checked the level, it was surprisingly a level 100 Bellsprout. Liam couldn't believe he had a Bellsprout that strong and hadn't even evolved it. Liam laughed at this as he had Omanyte and Kabuto step to the side and ordered them to watch the battle and learn from it. Liam then summoned Dragonite. 

When Dragonite came out and saw his opponent, Dragonite turned to look at Liam as if asking "What the hell is this?" but Liam shook his head as he didn't know what to say. Dragonite was only five levels below this Bellsprout so he didn't think too much about it. 

As the battle started, Dragonite used flamethrower right away in order to try and end this battle but the Bellsprout was so nimble and fast that it dodged it easily and hit Dragonite's feet making him fall on his face. 

Dragonite got so embarrassed and angry that he had lost control and started to send out hydro pumps mixed with flames and electricity. Bellsprout was easily dodging all the attacks. By the time Dragonite had gotten tired and started breathing heavily, Bellsprout had used leech seed which drained Dragonite of his energy and gave Bellsprout the energy that he lost to dodge all those attacks. 

Dragonite was beyond tired at this point but before he could even muster up the strength to think of another plan of attack, Bellsprout had appeared in front of him and smacked him with one of his leafs. That leaf attack alone felt like a ton had smacked Dragonite as he fainted right after that. 

Liam was beyond shocked with the result. In the beginning he had agreed to a one-on-one match so apparently, he had just lost his match as the match was concluded and Liam had to respect the strength of that Bellsprout. Looks can be deceiving and he definitely judged that book by its cover, so after the match they had lunch which was a noodle soup. 

It was a traditional style and Liam enjoyed it because it seemed like he had gained a lot of energy just from one bite. After that the Elder Li had Liam sit down to meditate. He told Liam to clear his mind and to focus on his voice as he started humming. There were a lot of Bellsprouts on the floor watching them meditate. As soon as Liam cleared his mind and was focused on his meditation, his devil energy started to spread out as all the Pokémon on that floor started to run away. 

Elder Li was surprised by the energy that was emulated from Liam as he smacked him on his head to wake him up and stop him from spreading anymore of his devil energy. Liam woke up shocked and surprised that he had a rude awakening from the Monk. He asked him why he hit him, and the Monk quickly told him that his evil energy was spreading due to Liam not being in control of it and he told him that he would have to spend more than a week over there in order to purify his energy. 

Elder Li told Liam, "You should stop using that evil energy to gain strength and try to convert it into light energy." Liam had no clue what he was talking about or how to convert his energy so he simply shrugged and said, "Will you be able to teach me?" Even though Liam loved the devil type, he didn't know whether that would change if he purified his whole being. As he pictured how he purified himself he thought of his body turning into a Bellsprout body which creeped him out. 

He didn't want to turn into a Bellsprout or have his Pokémon turn into Bellsprouts. Elder Li could tell what he was thinking and simply laughed and said, "Don't worry you will still be you. It's just that the evil energy within you will turn into a more natural energy and be more of a good thing than a bad one." Liam quickly refuted as he said, "I'm a good guy." as Elder Li said, "Sure you are."
