Love is a Sweet Poison

Gabriel sits up and kisses the back of her neck and sucks on the spot before he starts to let down her hair. He places the hair pieces to the side and smiled as her hair hung loosely on her back. "Much better." He started running his hands through her hair. 

Kosuke attached both horses to the carriage. "Young Master and Young Madam, we are ready to continue on our way now." 

Gabriel got up and held out his hand for Amelia to take and helped her up and walked to the carriage hand in hand and helped her inside before going back and collecting the blanket and basket. He got into the carriage and sat the basket down across from them and sat next to Amelia. "The next stop will be our destination." He moved her hair away from her face and saw the blush that was underneath,

"I am excited and nervous about the destination as I have never travelled I do not know what to expect." She looked into his eyes, before looking away embarrassed. 

"That is to be expected. We are actually going to a small village. There won't be anything fancy, but we will be staying ion the inn that is in town. There is a private hot spring that is connected to the room we will be in, and I had asked Subaru to let the owner know that we will be coming into town this weekend." Gabriel finally tells her their destination. 

"Oh! This is the same town that you found Kazuki and his family! Will I be able to meet the little girl That you helped make better?" 

"Yes, Tomomi is the daughter of the innkeeper but if she is unwell then you will not be allowed to see her. I do not want you to come down with something while we are on our getaway." Gabriel looks at Amelia hoping that she will agree to this.

"But of course, I do not want to get sick but meeting one of the children that you helped save would be nice. I will not do anything to compromise myself." The carriage hits a bump and Amelia falls into Gabriel and her lips touch his.

Gabriel holds her and kisses her back even through it was an accidental kiss. He continues to hold her and looks into her eyes. "I know that you did not mean to land in my embrace, but I am glad that you did."

Slowly Amelia pulls back blushing, "you are indeed a kissing fiend, but I do not hate it." She lean in and kisses his cheek. "I should take my next dose."

Gabriel pulled out a blue paper and handed it to her. "I have reworked the medicine. Let me know how it tastes and if it needs any adjustments."

Amelia took the package and opened it up and looked at the powder that was now an orange-pink colour. She poured the powder into her mouth and swallowed. "Oh wow! That isn't as bitter, there is still an aftertaste, but it tastes like strawberries." She looked at the package smiling.

Amelia took the water, "Thank you." The powders makes my mouth dry, but I am okay with that as there is not a lot that can be done about that." She drinks the water and sighs. 

"You are right that there is not a lot to be done with that right now. If you want me to try and make a liquid, I am not against doing that for you." He touches her cheek and then pulls her into his embrace. "I will try to do anything that I can for you."

"I know that you will Gabriel. For now this is a nice change. Liquid medicine can wait at least until I get used to this. There will be an issue if this goes on the market. Due to the taste there will be some people that might take too much." Amelia thinks about it while hugging him back. 

"I have thought that it could happen. I was more thinking that this could be for children. The harsh taste of the medicine would be hard for them to stomach. If it was a little sweeter than maybe they might be willing to take it." Gabriel thinks for a moment before shaking his head.

"That makes more sense. I hate to ask this but is it going to be much longer?" Amelia covered her mouth and yawned. 

Gabriel helped her lay down on his lap. "It took me two days to reach there originally, but we will be able to reach there by dinner time. Sleep it will be a little while yet." He watches as she nods her head and closes her eyes. Gabriel looks down at her happily. 'What I wouldn't give to be alone with you in a room right now. I am so happy that you agreed to come on this trip with me.' Gabriel nodded off while looking down at her as she rested happily. 

Thew carriage came to a jolt when it stopped in town waking Gabriel up, and he looked out the window and smiled. He slightly shook Amelia's shoulder. "Angel, we have arrived." He yawned and stretched his arms.

Amelia stirred and looked up at as Gabriel yawned. "You must have been sleepy if you are just waking up as well. I was awake before the carriage jolted. I was looking up at you from below, letting you get the sleep that you needed." She slowly sat up and wrapped her arms around his body in a hug.

Quickly Gabriel pulled her close and hugged her in return. "You are a little mischief-maker. Come let's get out so that you can see where you will be staying for the next week." He felt her arms leave him, that was when he hopped out and stood outside the carriage. He held out his hand and waited for Amelia.

Immediately Amelia follows Gabriel out and takes his hand and climbs down and at the last stop Gabriel lifts her down. "Gabriel, you don't need to do that." She giggles and blushes as there was a lady and little girl watching them. 

"Welcome to my humble inn. I am Ito Mari the proprietor. This is my Daughter Ito Tomomi." She bows in a ninety degree bow. 

"Mari it is good to see you again. Thank you for preparing the room for me and my wife. I know that this time of the year can be a bit busy." Gabriel turned to Amelia, "this is where I stayed when I went hunting for the herbs. Tomomi is the girl that I saved."

"It is a pleasure to meet you both, I am Saito Amelia. It is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance." She bowed back to them then stood back up slowly. 

Tomomi ran from her mother to Gabriel, "Big Brother you saved me when I was sick last time. I picked this for you." She held out a bouquet of flowers to Gabriel.

Taking the flowers he smiles and held onto them then patted her on the head. "You have grown storing since I was last here. I am glad that you are doing well."

Amelia smiled as the exchange happened and walked towards Mari. "I am glad that your daughter is doing well. She is a sweetheart from what I can see."

"Thank you, you are as sweet as Gabriel told us. Congratulations on your wedding. Will you come inside with me for a moment? I want to tell you something so that it doesn't shock you later." She lowers her voice at the last part.

"Gabriel, I am going to go inside first. Have a good chat with the cute Tomomi." Amelia waved at the two and followed Mari inside the inn. Once she switched her geta sandals for slippers The ladies walked a little ways in and into a room. 

"Thank you for coming with me. I am assuming that you are pure?" Mari seeing Amelia lets out a breath. "Sorry for asking such a personal thing upon our first meeting. I just wanted to give you a warning that when you seal the wedding with the coupling between you and Gabriel that it will actually be painful. I do not know what all that you know on this subject." 

Amelia's face goes beet red. "Oh, I did not know. It was not something that my mother had told me. I was told that I would not live past my eighteenth birthday. So there was no reason to have this conversation. Do you mind if I ask you something then?"
