Love, Jerk, and Affair

Flashback on

Adriana and Zach are sitting on a chair near the lake, they mutually stare at the green and cool natural scenery, sometimes the sound of birds chirping makes the atmosphere even more comfortable.

Adriana stares at Zach who is just silent with a blank stare, then where is the real direction of the conversation?

She ventured to open her voice.

"Can I ask you something?" asked Adriana.

"Hem, just say it," Zach exclaimed.

"I want you to be honest about your feelings for me before I fall too deep," said Adriana.

Zach looked at Adriana who was so beautiful with an innocent face, her hair flowing beautifully in the breeze, making her so charming. but suddenly the image of the girl chatting with his cousin made him sick and jealous.

"Adriana, this is hard, I'm very comfortable with you, but ...."

"But what?" asked Adriana.

"I'm not sure I can have a relationship with my own cousin's ex-lover, I will only burn with jealousy when I imagine you guys were so intimate in front of me," explained Zach sadly.

Adriana smiled slightly with a look of dislike. "So what do you want?"

"Adriana, I love you but I can't be with you, maybe we'll just be intimate friends because I'm sure you still have feelings for my cousin while he still loves you. he just married another girl because he was forced, I'm sure he would be very disappointed if we were in a relationship," explained Zach as if he was confused.

"Intimate friends, you say? You think I'm a random girl who wants to make out with a cowardly guy like you. I even wiped that bastard Jack out of my mind, it's all because of you! You make me comfortable, fall in love, but it turns out you just want me to be your intimate friend? Looks like you are not that different from other men who only give false hopes!" Adriana was getting annoyed then got up from the chair and was about to leave.

"Adriana, I ... I can't be away from you." Zach held Adriana's hand...

"And you also can not give clarity what exactly our relationship is. I'm not a cheap girl who can make out with a man who doesn't want to be my companion in the future," said Adriana curtly then removed Zach's hand from her arm.

Adriana immediately left while Zach stared at her departure, there was no intention of pursuing because of the doubt in his heart.

"Jack, Zach, you are brothers, and as you were just playing with my heart. I even regret that I was trapped in your love which was only for me for a moment."

Since that day, Adriana was reluctant to meet Zach again, she decided to be alone and focus on education until she accidentally met Mark, a handsome man, and a CEO who donated funds to the campus where she was studying.

Mark is so attentive and gives whatever Adriana needs, then confesses his feelings to her who is hurt and needs a cool breeze to heal the wound in her heart caused by Zach who only gave her false hope.

"I love you, Adriana, even I want to spend the rest of my life with you," said Mark, holding Adriana's hand.

"Are you just bragging? I can't accept a man who only considers me a gratification." Adriana released Mark's hand from her hand.

"I mean it, I fell in love with you the first time I saw you in college, I couldn't get rid of your pretty face every time, it made me restless and couldn't focus on work," explained Mark with a pleading look.

"Really?"

"I want to have a relationship with you," said Mark, grabbing Adriana's hand again.

Adriana was silent for a moment, remembering Zach who could no longer be expected then looked at Mark who seemed to sincerely love her.

"I will learn to love you," said Adriana, smiling awkwardly at Mark.

Mark was very happy because Adriana would learn to love him, allowing him to have a relationship with her.

Flashback of

Adriana is disgusted by the reason Zach always uses Jack's name as a cause of doubt about having a relationship with her. even though, she no longer has feelings of love for her ex. Moreover, that man was also married.

Feeling insinuated by Adriana's words that raised his cowardice, Zach decided to go home. "Okay, I'm home."

Adriana just kept quiet.

Zach immediately came out of Evan's ward. He walked slowly while thinking about Adriana's words that seemed to pierce his heart.

'I just don't want to be with you when you were with my cousin. I will continue to feel jealous and afraid that he will tease you again because I knew you loved each other,' said Zach who was still acting like a coward.

Elsewhere, Mark is having dinner with Maura at a restaurant. the two of them always spent time together having fun.

The man even seemed to forget that he had a wife and children. He deliberately turned off his smartphone and put it in his suitcase so as not to interfere with the activities of the affair.

"Tomorrow we will part again," muttered Maura with a displeased expression.

"Don't be sad, I'll visit you often," Mark coaxed while holding Maura's hand.

"But I want to always be with you like this," replied Maura spoiled.

"When it's time, we'll always be together now you have to be patient, I could not just leave Adriana," exclaimed Mark with a feeling of dilemma.

Maura could only snort in annoyance that Mark still objected to letting go of Adriana as soon as possible.

"You better go home now, Evan is sick!" said someone standing behind Mark.

Mark immediately turned his head and looked at the person.

"Dave, why are you here?" he asked with a surprised expression.

"Of course," Dave replied with a sneer.

Mark looked confused, while Maura stared hatefully at Dave who ruined the atmosphere.

"Hurry home or I'll beat you up here and everyone will know a Mark William Anderson is cheating!" Dave threatened with a low groan as he glanced at Laura who was staring at him in annoyance. He wanted to beat Mark or slap that woman cheek.

Mark sighed, he tried to stay calm and looked resigned. Like it or not he had to go home. "I'll take my suitcase first. You just go home, I'll follow you later!" he said

"Just go to the hospital, because he's still being treated there!" Dave suggested, then hurried away.

Mark sighed roughly as he squeezed his hair in annoyance and frustration, he still wanted to be with Maura but he was also worried about Evan.

"Are you leaving now?" asked Maura sadly.

"Yes," said Mark with a sad gaze as he gently rubbed Maura's cheek. The girl could only nod obediently even though her heart refused.

"Now we go back to the apartment, I'll take my suitcase first," said Mark as he rose from the chair. Maura can only surrender follow it with disappointment.
