Love, Jerk, and Affair

In her quite luxurious apartment with white wall paint consisting of two rooms, a living room, bathroom, minimalist kitchen, and living room, Maura tidied Mark's clothes and put them in a suitcase. the girl was silent because she was still disappointed with the man who chose to go away rather than be with her.

"I'm leaving now," Mark said goodbye, then gave Maura a final kiss before leaving her alone.

"Promise me to marry me soon because if not, I will return to Germany to continue my career," exclaimed Maura as if giving an ultimatum.

Mark sighed, then looked into Maura's teary eyes as if she expected seriousness from him. but it is still hard for him to divorce his wife, especially when his son is sick.

"Maura, don't go. Give me time to think about all this," asked Mark with a pleading look.

"One week, that's the time I'm giving," Maura replied and then walked away from Mark to the bed. "Go from here, and meet your son!" she continued.

Mark immediately left with a load of thoughts that filled his brain, he loved Maura, but also did not have the heart for his children and wife if they divorced. Then, will that unfaithful man use polygamy? How greedy he is?

Mark drove his car at high speed to the hospital address indicated by Mark via message.

Until almost an hour's drive, Mark arrived at the hospital. the man immediately went to the ward because Dave had told him via message in the room where his son was treated.

Mark walked down the corridor of the hospital which looked deserted because it was late at night. upon arrival at the designated room, the man did not immediately enter, he looked at his wife through the glass at the door.

Mark saw Adriana sitting asleep with her head resting on the bed, then glanced at Evan, who was also sleeping peacefully. Inside, the man felt guilty and regretted his having had fun with another girl while his wife and child were in the hospital, he immediately opened the door and entered.

"Mark," said Adriana as she turned to the husband who was standing at the door. she seemed to notice that the door was open and that it was her husband who had come.

"Sorry, I didn't know that Evan was sick," said Mark in his low voice as he approached Evan, then kissed his forehead.

"I've been trying to contact you, but your number is always off," replied Adriana with a flat look, she could not hide her disappointment in her husband.

"There's no signal." Mark lied again.

"Then why have you come home when it's only been two days?" asked Adriana curtly.

"Dave caught up with me," said Mark.

"Then you left your job?" asked Adriana, squinting at the liar.

"Yeah, for Evan's sake I will come back sooner," Mark replied with a smile at Adriana.

Adriana smiled sarcastically after hearing Mark's answer because she was sure that man had lied. But she still doesn't want to discuss, so that time will tell everything and expose the rotten husband of that liar!

"Tomorrow he can go home, you should just go home, you must be tired after a long trip from out of town! "said Adriana meant sarcastically.

"I'll sleep here, I want to accompany my son," Mark replied.

"Hmm ... yeah."

Tonight, Mark sleeps with Evan, while Adriana has to lie down on the sofa. she did not go to sleep right away, her eyes kept on her husband who was sleeping. That gaze conveyed a meaning-filled with hatred.

'You think I'm stupid, should I trust you again? I don't know how to endure after your lies!' Adriana said to herself, with an emotion that seemed to be about to explode. She was even furious and wanted to throw a pillow at her lying husband's face.

The next day, Adriana immediately cleaned up Evan's clothes and the clothes she had brought while in the hospital because her son was allowed to go home.

Mark sat on the bed playing with Evan. he was waiting for his wife, who was still packing. sometimes he smiles seeing his son who has got better after meeting him. If he finds out, his son is getting better because of the attention from Dave and Zach!

"I've finished packing, let's go home," said Adriana with her gaze, because she can't be cute anymore.

Mark immediately carried Evan and took him out of the room followed by Adriana who brought a bag filled with clothes. They walked down the corridor, which looked deserted because it was still early morning until they left the hospital and headed for the parking lot.

During the trip home, Adriana was just silent without a word, she sat while holding Evan. The woman was lazy to look at her husband again. in fact, she felt like her love was fading along with the betrayal and lies created by the man beside her.

Seeing his wife who was silent made Mark uncomfortable and asked, "why are you silent, Adriana?"

"I'm just tired," said Adriana.

"You must be tired from looking after Evan alone. I'm sorry." Mark showed an expression of guilt, then refocused on driving.

"It's my duty as a mother, you must be tired because of working outside the city," said Adriana.

"I'm tired of the sake of you both," replied Mark with his lies.

Adriana only smiled sarcastically whenever the man beside her lied. She was very sure that her husband was not out of town but instead met Maura, who had previously escorted him home when drunk.

"I'll stop by the supermarket for a while, I have to shop," said Adriana.

Mark nodded obediently and immediately stopped the car in front of the supermarket. Adriana immediately got out of the car, while he and Evan remained to wait in the car.

Adriana buys some groceries, milk,,and other items for household use. coincidentally she hasn't been shopping since her son got sick.

When he got home, Mark carried Evan and put him to sleep in the room, while Adriana arranged her groceries in the kitchen. The mansion looked deserted, maybe Margareth and Byanca were out, Dave would have already been to the office

After finishing arranging her shopping, Adriana returned to Evan's room. she saw that Mark was still lying on her son's bed to sleep.

"Don't you want to take a shower?" asked Adriana.

"Later," said Mark briefly.

"Aren't you going to the office?" Adriana asked, opening the white curtains covering the glass window in her son's room.

"Not. I want to be at home all day with you," said Mark who again pretended to care.

"Okay, I'll make breakfast for you," said Adriana as she walked out of the room to immediately go to the kitchen.

'Are you going to keep lying? I'm sick of hearing that you're always on behalf of everything for the sake of my happiness and Evan's too! You should feel, between us getting bland, even I don't want to be touched by you anymore! I disgust you, your hand has touched another girl!' thought Adriana as she walked towards the kitchen. She was so furious, how long can she hold all her annoyance at Mark.
