Calter's broken mind cannot comprehend what happened, all he can feel was the trembling of Kence's body and the warm tears that fell on his shoulder

"W-what..." Calter wants to speak but he didn't know what to say. Kence is crying? Well, why wouldn't he? He just saw such a gruesome sight. He must be hating Calter now but was only afraid to get hurt and hugged him

"N-no... t-they h-hurt you.... I-I hate t-them..."

"I-It hurts.... s-seeing you c-covered with y-your own b-blood"

"I-I was so s-scared"

"I-I d-didn't know w-what to d-do"

"I don't w-want to l-lose you...."

Calter said in a broken manner as he raised his hand. Seeing the blood on it, millions of negative thoughts started swirling on his mind

How can he touch the pure Kence with these blood-stained hands? Just how many people he killed and tortured before both in this life and the past one

A hand so dirty will do no good by touching such a pure thing. Calter knew to himself how low he fell to the point that other people's lives meant nothing to him

His obsession for Kence drive him to do all sorts of things. Now that he thinks of it, he did all those things using his own hand yet he also used that same hand to touch Kence

He even deceived Kence a bit. Although the way he treated Kence gently is a genuine act but he doesn't show his other side to him. He hid and hid, never wanting Kence to know all the things he had done. He knew this day would come but this is just too soon

Although the people that died in Fiery City is much less than when a full-scale war happened, but all those people still died because of him. He hid that fact yet renamed the City to a name that Kence wants

It was like he was a thief that steals money and used it to buy food for his family. They can fill their stomachs but the money didn't come from a clean source

But even then, Calter never and will never regret all the bad things he had done. All those things enable him to be with Kence again and keep the latter safe. That is something he will never regret his whole life

"I-I'm a... demon...right?"

"You must be hating me now..."

"I'm not as kind as you think I am. I am a horribly person that will torture and kill people I hate"

"But I don't regret it, even if my hands are dirtied with blood like this, I still did what I need to"

"For my plans, for my goals, I will continue. More people will die and be tortured. I won't stop"

Calter will kill all the people in that assassin organization all for revenge! He will never let go of those who hurt Kence. But he cannot say that as Kence might blame himself from the deaths of tens or even hundreds of people

Even after that assassin organization, Calter knows that he will still kill people in the future. There is no lack of people in this world that will try to harm him and Kence. All those people need to be punished

To rise in power, one will step on thousands of corpses to reach the peak

"You can hate me, resent me, be terrified of me. But I can never let you go. I'll rather spend the day in pain by the looks that you will give me rather than not seeing you ever again"

It was wrong, very wrong. But if Kence wants to go far away from him after seeing the cruel side of his, he will never let that happen. That would turn him really insane

However, to Calter's shock, Kence repeatedly shook his head. Calter expected a violent or fearful reaction but it didn't come. Instead, Kence just hug him tighter

"W-what are you doing? I'm a demon. My hands are stained with blood. I am dirty, you shouldn't be hugging me like this. Even if you are disgusted by me, I won't say anything. That is something that I will totally understand"

Hearing this, Kence broke free from the hug which brought great pain to Calter's heart. He thought that Kence really hugged him in fear

However, Kence's next actions made his tears to continuously leak from his eyes

Kence grabbed his blood-stained hand and gently put it on his face. Kence also has tears falling down on his eyes and it washed away a bit of the blood that stained his face

"Y-you! You're putting blood on your face!" Calter said in a panic and tried getting his hand back but Kence tightened his grip on it

"Big Brother, are they the ones that sent the assassin to kill you?" Kence gently asked. His voice was as soothing as before as if he didn't saw such a scene

Calter was hypnotized by that voice and nodded his head absent mindedly. "Then they are the ones that almost killed my Big Brother, I am angry at them too. I hate them, Big Brother!" Although he's saying that he hated the two, his voice was still as soft as before

But with how deep Calter knew Kence, he really sensed anger on the youth's voice

"I also won't forgive them for hurting you. I know Big Brother cared a lot for me and seeing me hurt also hurts you"

"I hate them too for hurting you. But I also hate myself for being weak. Isn't this the reason why I really want to cultivate? I want to be strong to protect Big Brother"

"If I wasn't weak, I wouldn't get hurt and Big Brother wouldn't be hurt too"

Calter blinked his eyes repeatedly. This outcome was very different from what he thought will happen to the point that he didn't know what to feel

"W-why aren't you afraid of me? I tortured them. Even the assassin that almost killed you was tortured by me. I'm a bad person... you should be hating and feeling scared of me...."

Kence then answered with a smile. "Because Big Brother did all those things for me. I only hate the people that hurt you and also myself for being weak..."

"I don't think of Big Brother as a demon. Besides, I know you will never hurt me. No matter what you do, you will always be my master and Big Brother. Nothing can change that fact. After all, Big Brother is the most important person in my life"

Kence stood up and walked towards the pair of father and son that was barely hanging on their lives. An uncountable number of cuts can be seen on them as their bodies were bathed by their own blood

"D-Don't look at them! This is something you shouldn't look at!" Calter said but Kence ignored him

Kence inhaled and exhaled repeatedly to stop himself from puking. Although his body was trembling all over from the sight but Kence still steeled himself

The youth can taste all the thing he ate that day at the back of his throat but still did his best not to puke. The smell of blood that wafted in the air was so strong that Kence almost got dizzy at smelling them

This is the first time that Kence saw such a scene and if not for him trying his best, he might have already vomited and lose consciousness

Kence picked up two knives on the ground and walked closer to the two

"Kence! What are you doing?" Calter had a bad feeling about this. But the shock that Kence saw him in such a situation made him lose all of his strength and Calter can barely move

"Big Brother, you think that you're a demon and you are afraid that I'll hate you for that. But no, I won't hate Big Brother and I will prove that to you"

Kence reached the two with just a few steps and the smell turned stronger and horrible. Holding a knife on each other his hand Kence closed his eyes and took a deep breath

"N-No! Don't do that!" Calter shouted but Kence didn't listened to him

Kence gritted his teeth and stab the knives on his hands on Brony and Bonny's chest to finally kill them. Kence can feel some sort of warm liquid splashing on his hand

When he finally opened his eyes and saw what he did, Kence vomited on the spot. Kence knees gave out and he kneeled on the blood-stained ground

More tears came out from his eyes as the guilt of killing people tightened its grip on his heart while he's still puking

"K-Kence!" Calter panicked and went on Kence's side to rub the latter's back with a trembling body

As soon as Kence finished puking, he immediately wiped his mouth but instead of cleaning it, the blood on his hand just stained his pure and innocent face further

Seeing this, Calter took a small clean towel on his spatial ring to wipe all the blood on Kence's face but the youth stopped him

Kence's pale face looked at Calter with a smile. "If Big Brother thinks that he is dirty and a demon then I will also be the same. I know Big Brother thinks of me as innocent but there is one thing that I know that will never change. I will always be with you and accept you for who you are"

"I don't have a family and no one was there for me. But Big Brother gave me everything. You treated me nicely from the start and I even experienced the feeling of having a family all because of Big Brother"

"I don't know a lot of things but I'll always be here for you. These bloods are proof for that!"

Calter teared up once more as he stared at the blood stained Kence. "Idiot, you didn't need to do that. Just being with me is enough" Calter scolded

This time, it was Calter's turn to gently put Kence's bloody hand on his face. He will never forget these bloods. The blood that was spilled by such a pure person because of him

Even when Kence died before because of him, the youth didn't blame him. Kence was only thankful for having him on his life. There was no blame or anger. Kence was just happy that using his life, he managed to save Calter's own

"Even if Big Brother is a demon then we'll both become a demon alright?" Kence said with a sweet smile

Calter just fell in love with Kence more because of this. Kence always did these kinds of thing

There are actually two outcomes that Calter expected. One is that Kence will be scared of him which he thought has the highest probability of happening

The second is that Kence will comfort him and say that he's not a demon. But if Kence did that, Calter will also get hurt. He knew to himself how far he can go to protect his interest. That would make him feel horrible

But Kence did another thing that Calter never expected the youth will do. Kence decided to become the same as Calter. Kence didn't say that it was okay or that Calter can still change

Kence will let Calter become what he will become while being there on his side as a support

Although Calter don't like it that Kence dirtied his hands like this for killing humans for the first time but who is he to judge? Calter is also like Kence. He will accept no matter what Kence becomes

He likes the innocent and pure Kence but if the youth changed, he would accept it whole heartedly. To the vilest of all villain or the purest of all saints. The two will accept each other

"You won't hate me or be scared of me, right?" Calter asked fearfully. He's afraid that this is a dream that he will soon wake up from

Instead of answering the question, Kence asked back while still having a smile. "Will you?" Calter shook his head as an answer.. Calter is sad not because he thinks negatively of Kence after he saw him killed someone. He was sad that Kence needs to do that kind of thing because of him
