Magic With You

At night, Calter was woken up by the movements on the bed. Calter groggily opened his eyes and turned to look at where the movements are coming from

Calter saw Kence's trembling body while the latter's clothes were drenched by his own sweat

"N-no....s-sorry...s-stop!" Kence muttered in a scared tone while his head was moving left and right. Calter's heart, ache at seeing Kence's current condition

He knew that with Kence's personality it wouldn't be easy for him to accept what he have done. But for Calter, he still did it. Because Kence want to prove that he'll accept Calter no matter what happens

Calter pulled Kence's body closer to him. He put Kence's head on his arms and enveloped the man in a warm hug. Calter played with Kence's silky hair and made "Sshh" sounds

The warmth coming from Calter spread on Kence's body and the youth calmed down a bit. Calter then used his fingers to wipe the tears on Kence's eyes

After some time, Kence slowly opened his eyes. It was like he didn't had a nightmare moments ago and gave Calter a sweet smile

"Hello, are you fine now Big Brother?" Kence asked and he didn't shown any discomfort as if everything is normal. Calter naturally knows that Kence is doing this for his sake

"Big Brother is strong and I'm fine now" Calter also showed a smile to show that he is okay. The scar on his heart for being the cause of Kence's pain is still there but he would make sure that he will not make any wrong decision again. He don't want to avoid Kence and in return, the youth will get sick because of him for the second time

"That's good!" Kence sweetly said but him acting like everything is normal just pained Calter more

"Kence... I know you're not okay. We can talk abo--" Calter's words were cut because of Kence kissing him. Kence did this again. Instead of talking things properly he always decided to end it by kissing

Calter become frustrated but he don't want to force Kence again and just let the latter kiss him

After a while Kence pulled away and smiled at Calter. The young master sigh and only gave Kence a smile that didn't reached his eyes

Kence sensed this but he really don't want to talk about it. Kence also wants to be strong in front of Calter so that his master wouldn't worry about him too much

"Let's continue sleeping?" Kence asked and Calter can only nod his head. He pulled Kence's body even closer to him and didn't let go for the whole night

Maybe because Calter's hug was very effective and Kence didn't had any nightmare that night again

Calter has a big wound on his heart that was only fully revealed now. Kence also has a wound on his heart now for killing for the first time

The two didn't talked about it and searched comfort on each other's embrace. In time, as long as they are with each other, the two would eventually heal

June 27 Year 9001

After a few days, Number D1 can be seen wearing robes on his whole body including his head. His face also has a mask with it to not show his identity

Number D1 is inside a small restaurant with cheap prices. This restaurant normally has a lot of customers but since the night is already deep, there are lesser people inside

After some time, the owner of the place approached Number D1. It was a middle age man with a muscular body and can intimidate customers who will dare try making trouble on his restaurant

"Hello, are you going to order anything else? We will close the shop a few minutes later" the man said gently

Unlike his appearance, the owner has quite a mild temper and will only explode when someone is making trouble on his restaurant

Number D1 turned to look at the owner and his eyes glowed with a dark light. The owner's body stiffened and magic fluctuation spread on the restaurant

That fluctuations also affected the other staff's mind and they stopped whatever they were doing. Number D1 motioned with his finger and one of them went close to him

Number D1 took a mask from his spatial ring and put it on the owner's face. The appearance of the owner changed and Number D1 snapped his fingers. The owner completely passed out and the staff carried it upstairs where his room is

Number D1 removed the hood on his head and tap the mask on his own face causing his appearance to change. He now looks exactly like the owner

After the staff came back, Number D1 snapped his fingers and everyone returned back to normal. They were puzzled as they felt like something happened before ignoring it as they wants to finish early. Finishing early means they can rest their tired bodies early too

The disguised Number D1 helped with the cleaning of the restaurant and he walked towards the table to wipe them. When they finally finished the job, everyone said good byes and good night to each other

It was only number D1 that was left in the restaurant and he continued acting like the owner

After about an hour, a gust of wind blew by inside the restaurant. But Number D1 felt something else. As he's a Grand Knight and is also on his guard, weak mages won't be able to sneak attack on him

Number D1 felt that the wind turned heavy and restricted his body. The window of shop was broken as a man covered in winds entered through it

The man was holding a dagger on his hand and with the speed provided by his spell, he charged at the disguised number D1

The assassin thought that he will succeed but then saw his target smirking at him. He suddenly have a bad premonition and it came true

Number D1 tapped his foot on the ground and the assassin's shadow turned into tentacles that wrapped on his body. The assassin tried moving his leg but how can he break free from a Grand Knight's power?

The assassin is only a Magic Warrior in front of a Grand Knight. His power isn't enough to break free no matter what he do

"H-how?" The assassin asked. This task should be an easy one as the target is only a small restaurant owner without much power. With the organization's information gathering ability, how can they be this wrong?

"You are the first one of the many more assassin that will fail" Number D1 said and walked towards the assassin in a slow manner as if he wants to savor the fear of this man

"N-No! D-don't come closer to me!" The assassin said in a fearful tone. He might be part of the unnamed organization but he was only an outer member

People like him are responsible for killing weak targets of Magic Apprentice or Magic Warrior Rank. He doesn't have much experience and only accept the tasks with low risk. The pay is low but he would at least retain his life

"You are annoying" Number D1 said before his hand was covered with a dark light. The Grand Knight bullied the Magic Warrior and put his hand on the latter. The assassin's eyes went wide open because of it before he too lose consciousness

Number D1 carried the unconscious body on his shoulder and exited the restaurant. Outside were some Magic Warrior slaves of Caizher and the mage gave the unconscious body to them

Similar scenes happened inside the City. Only Number D1 and D2 along with the top ten Knights made an action. They are the strongest on all of Caizher's slaves and will cause lesser commotion

It also wouldn't attract too much attention as in the past days, Calter deliberately increase the number of patrolling guards. The enemy will think that a lot of their assassins failed to do the task because of the increase security. Not knowing that it was all because of Calter manipulating the scenes behind

All the knocked out assassins were brought inside Calter's Magic Tower to be interrogated. In the outside, the assassins were either killed or brought in the prison but they are actually Calter's captives now

Number D1 also went back to the Magic Tower. As a Grand Knight, he'll have more power that he can use to make these assassins spill everything they got

Calter's current power is still weak and the things he can do by himself is limited

Reaching the Demon's Den, Number D1 saw Number D3. It was the name that were given to Blaze's son

Number D3 is currently gazing at the full moon above. The moonlight hitting his face added a serene yet melancholic aura on him. Although he had a better life now and enjoyed teaching magic to the other mages but he still had a painful life in the past

He too has a scar on his heart and it wasn't easy for it to heal. Number D1 watched the man for a while and was mesmerized by the sad fairy of the night

Number D3 isn't that handsome or what but he has that melancholic aura around him that made him looks mysterious and will make people to want to help him heal

Number D1 also witnessed that despite betraying his father, Number D3 did it mostly to save the man. Number D3 hates his father for all the horrible things he went through but he still thinks of Blaze as his father

Number D1 is sure that if it was him, he would never forget all the bad things that Blaze did. Number D3 already looks pitiful but Number D1 felt a lot more pity to the latter for helping his father continue living

After some time, Number D1 walks towards the other man who didn't noticed him despite being a Grand Knight himself. The melancholic fairy's attention were all in the moon

It was like he is reflecting all of his sadness on it

"It is beautiful" Number D1 suddenly said causing the other man to flinch in shock a bit

Number D3 saw D1 not far from him and showed a sad smile. "Yes, it is" he said before raising his head to look at the moon in the sky but Number D1's eyes didn't left him

"What are you doing here?" D1 asked and he wants to punch himself from asking such a stupid question. It was too obvious that the man was moon gazing yet he still asked such a question

Number D3 didn't think that it was weird though and honestly answered. "Nothing, just looking at the moon while thinking bunch of things"

"Like?" Number D1 asked again and the man looked towards him

"I'm a fire mage and I should admire the sun but honestly, I don't. The sun is just there by itself, it reminds me of how lonely I am. But the moon... the moon is different, it is accompanied by the stars. It was never alone like the sun."

"That's quite deep" Number D1 answered as he didn't know what to say. Number D3's gaze on him was making him conscious

He knew that he has some feelings for the man but the two didn't had that much chance to talk

Number D1 is busy on teaching the dark type mage, cultivating, and doing Calter's orders that required the highest level of power

As for Number D3, he was a full time teacher. He was busy for a whole day and doesn't have much time for any other thing. At day, he would put all of his attention on his students. But when night time arrived, he would be reminded on what kind of life he had led before

"Do you like me?" Number D3 directly asked which caught the other man off guard. Number D1 coughed as he didn't know what to say and this was too fast

But after a few seconds, D1 still managed to say something. "What makes you think of that?" He asked and number D3 gave him a sad smile

"I was the City Lord's son but my life is not that easy. There are people who knows what kind of experience I have. There are some who looked at me with pity. There are some who was jealous of me for being born in such a wealthy family and had gloating only a bit hidden on their eyes after they know what kind if things I went through. As I grew up, I became sensitive on the way other people looked at me.. I managed to distinguish different looks and I think the way you look at me has some affection on it. I can be wrong or right though that's why I asked you directly"
