Escardon Realm, Menace Kingdom

Menace Kingdom, also called the land of fighting. In this Kingdom, one's magic prowess was the most important thing. Personal power is highly regarded and is a must if you want to have a good life

It is a Kingdom that constantly changed its Royal Family. The position of the King can be snatched away by everyone as long as they can defeat the current King

In the Royal Palace of the current Menace Kingdom's Royal Family, a youth around sixteen years old opened his eyes

The youth's room was quite dim and it didn't hurt his eyes as soon as he opened them. The youth then stared at the ceiling with an absent-minded expression

The youth has exceptionally black hair and his eyes were darker than the night itself

The youth is Calter Sternix, a nephew of the current King. His father Narry Sternix was only at a Knight Rank and does not have a high position even though he's the current King's father

Because of that, the Nobles in the Kingdom who are far more powerful than Narry often bullied him albeit a bit discreetly. Narry still came from the royal family. Although strength is highly regarded in the Kingdom but killing and blatant bullying on a Royal is akin to a slap to the Royal Family's place

That will anger the King a lot and the Nobles cannot bully Narry too openly

Calter was often bullied too because of how weak his father is despite being part of the Royal Family. As a result, the youth grew up having a cold personality and he does not have any friends

Calter doesn't like being bullied and build his own force or more accurately, slaves that are absolutely loyal to him because they all have slave markings with them

With the help of his force having several Rank 3 Mages, there are lesser people that can bully him and his family. Rank 3 Mages might not be the true top powers in the whole realm but they still have a high position

The youth blinked his confused eyes repeatedly before sitting on the bed. His mind is in a mess as his memories got tangled up

When he returned to his senses, the youth felt like that there is something wrong with him. He doesn't know why but he got the feeling of foreignness on his own memories

Calter looked around his room where everything is either color black or gray and the place looks very gloomy. His dark eyes then turned to look at his bed. Somehow, on this particular day, the bed feels empty as if there should be someone sleeping with him

But that is not possible, not to mention a lover, Calter doesn't even have any friends! He was just always alone as he felt repulsive about interacting with anyone

But today, there is a sense of emptiness on his heart as if it was longing for someone ... someone that he greatly cared about and someone that he always wants to be with

The youth frowned at the emotions he has. Just what is wrong with him?

The youth turned to look at his fingers to take out something. But the two rings on it gave also him a foreign feeling

One is a black ring without any design on it. It was his Spatial Ring that stored his things. The other ring is also black in color but has a darker shade of black rhombus shape stone on it

"Magic Ring ...?" The youth muttered in an almost questioning tone. The concept of Magic Ring is too foreign to him today for some reason. It was like this is the first time he saw such a thing which was impossible. All mages in the realms have their own Magic Rings no matter how low or high quality they are

"Why do I feel like I used an outdated thing such as a Magic Wand?" Calter asked himself in confusion making his expression to turn dark while wondering what is wrong with him

Calter ignored these puzzling feelings he has first and sends a small wave of mana from his spatial ring to take out something

It was a flat circle thing that has a round button in the middle, it was a Magic Phone. Calter felt like this common thing is also unfamiliar to him and that he should use another outdated version of it which is a sound transmission stone that has an extremely limited distance

Calter tapped the button and that thing lit up and showed different names

There are the names of his Father Narry and his Mother Emily. Below it was his most 'trusted', 'reliable', and 'strongest' slave, Krad

Calter tapped the name and after a few seconds, the image of a man with a handsome face appeared. "Come inside my room this instant" Calter ordered with his indifferent voice

Calter saw there is something wrong with Krad's expression but he ignored it and tapped the button on his magic phone to end the call

As Calter's father is still the brother of the current King, he can either live in the Royal Palace or on his own Dukedom with his family

Narry chose to stay in the Royal Palace as the resources there are much better. Also, his Dukedom is not a good place to live with as there are powerful Nobles there. Narry doesn't want his son the be bullied by them

At least in the Royal Palace, there is lesser bullying as Narry's relationship with his brother is quite good. With Narry only being a Magic Knight, the King won't feel threatened and didn't bully the former

As for Krad, he is in the place where Calter grew his force that is called "Demon's Den" and is located in the Royal City

Grand Knights might have a high position in the Kingdom but there are literally tens of thousands of them and that is just in a single Kingdom!

Early-stage Grand Knights are even considered a bit weak and only those at the peak can be considered a bit powerful

However, in front of a Rank 4 Mage, these Grand Knights are like children that can be bullied at any time. Fortunately, Rank 4 Mages are exceedingly rare as reaching that Rank is even harder than going from Magic Apprentices to the peak of Grand Knight

While waiting for his slave, Calter entered the bathroom inside his room and took a cold shower. He wants to cool down his body as there is an uncomfortable feeling in his heart. The feeling of something missing in his life and that something is very important to him grew every second that pass

Calter strip down all of his clothing and entered the shower area. Cold water dripped down from his head to other parts of his body. Calter closed his eyes while trying everything he can to remember what his heart wants him to remember. Minutes pass before Calter finally saw something

Calter saw eyes ... but not just normal eyes. The eyes are icy blue in color and were radiating a glow of innocence. Those beautiful eyes felt familiar to him

When Calter tried remembering anything else, no image popped up on his mind again which caused him to frown

"Blue eyes? Whose eyes are those and why am I drawn to them?" Calter asked to himself while the cold water continued hitting his body

"Is it someone from the Cold Blue Kingdom? They have the most number of beauty and there are several people there with blue eyes but I never went there before"

Calter felt like there is an itch on his heart that he cannot scratch. He wants to remember someone he doesn't even know

"If it's just blue eyes although it was rare in the Menace Kingdom but there are still some. But ... what's with those eyes? Why do they look familiar? Why do they give me a feeling that I can stare at it my whole life while not getting bored? "

Calter forgot the passage of time and spent minutes of his life just standing under the shower while the water from it continuously flowed out to his body

"This is annoying! Who is it?! Why do I feel agitated?!" Calter said annoyed and slammed his fist on the hard wall causing it to ache a bit

The youth only returned back to reality when he felt something on his spatial ring. It was his magic phone and Krad informed him that he's already outside Calter's room

Calter turned off the shower, dried his hair and body with a towel before choosing clothes in his walk-in closet

The youth randomly grabbed some clothes which are all black in color. Calter doesn't like bright colors and he prefers dark ones like this

His inner shirt was just a plain black one and he topped it off with a robe that is open in the middle that has a minimal design on it and his pants are also a plain black one

Although his clothes were simple but they still cannot hide the youth's charms. His face and clothes gave him an aura of a rich Young Master that is indifferent to everything around him

The clothes actually made Calter more handsome especially if one looks at his eyes. The two dark orbs will make anyone feel as if they were staring straight at an endless and bottomless abyss

Both men and women will drown in his eyes and Calter can captivate the heart of anyone he wants

The slightly bulging muscles under his sleeves will also make one salivate and his lips that are red will give everyone an urge to take a bite of it

After wearing his clothes, Calter walked towards his door and opened it. "Master, you called me?" Krad asked in a respectful tone

Just like Calter, the slave felt like everything in this world is foreign to him. He has memories of the things he experienced before but they were very foreign as if the memories weren't his

"Come in, close the door after you enter, and make a sound isolation barrier" Calter ordered and even a simple Sound Isolation Barrier sounds foreign to him too

It's like every common thing in the world is new to him. But he wasn't alone. Krad knew the exact process of how to do it but his movements were unnatural as if this is his first time making such a barrier

A waved of mana covered the area around the two and Calter immediately went straight to the point. "Check my body if someone used a spell on me" Calter ordered which caused Krad's guard to rise

Although harming a Royal will anger the King but there's bound to be some fools that would still do that especially since Calter is not a Royal Prince. More people will have the guts to hurt him as his position is lower than the princes and princess

Krad holds out his hand and noticed a chain tattoo on his wrist

True Slave Mark ... it was a mark that will ensure that the slave will never betray their master. The problem was that it needs the slave to accept the mark

Sure, there are ways to make someone your slave but there is always the risk of a higher level of power will remove the slave binding. But this True Slave Mark is absolute and no matter what power one uses, they won't be able to remove it. Only the master can

Calter also saw it and just pushed down yet another unfamiliar feeling. That mark is exactly the source of Calter's confidence. Letting someone scan your body is dangerous as they can kill you easily

But someone with the True Slave Mark can never hurt and betray their master

Krad also threw his emotions at the back of his head and put his hands on Calter's hand while sending his mana all over the youth's body

Krad was instantly shocked as soon as he did that. It's not because of discovering any signs of a spell but because of the amount of mana that Calter has

Abnormal! It was too abnormal! Even Magic Knights might not have this much mana. It was too much mana for a Magic Warrior to have!

But aside from the initial shock, Krad doesn't feel any other thing. Although his master's level is only average for his age but the youth can always dominate those who are at his level!

This made the Nobles and Royals have a hard time judging Calter's talent and he was known to be the unjudgeable Young Master in the Menace Kingdom

But just like Kence, he wasn't that famous as he rarely showed himself in public. And also unlike Kence, Calter is more doubtful and had Krad check his body but they did not found anything suspicious
