The Thunder Gold Kingdom, also known as the Land of Gold. This is the wealthiest Kingdom in the whole Escardon Realm. The land was filled with all sorts of treasures. If one is lucky, they can be rich overnight

Businesses growing or going into bankruptcy was common. The competition inside was very fierce and their living standards are higher than the other Kingdoms

The Royal Family is the Hale Clan that only has one son. As the sole prince and the only direct Royal Descendant of the current King, the Crowned Prince naturally grew arrogant

Inside the prince's chamber, a youth can be seen laying on a bed that can fit several people

The Prince slowly opened his eyes before a piercing pain assaulted his head. The prince groaned from the pain while wondering what is happening

It took him several minutes for the pain to subside a bit and the prince's memories started filling his head

The prince is called Halli Hale, he is exactly what one might expect of a prince. Halli is very arrogant and treated other people like they are nothing. Although that is the case, no one can say no to him

As he is the only heir, the King and Queen put great importance on him. His current level is only average for his age but the King is set on nourishing him into a powerful mage that can inherit the throne

The prince sat on the bed while clutching his head that is still hurting.

"Damn it! I shouldn't have drunk too much last night!" The prince cursed loudly as he 'remembered' the reason for his headache

However, a few moments later, the prince felt that something is wrong and sniffed himself. He can't smell the familiar scent of alcohol on his body or breath which puzzled him

When he looked around, he saw the lavish designs on everything in his room and most of them are gold in color or have golden engravings on them

It gave him a sense of familiarity as this is exactly the room in his memories. But it also gave him a foreign feeling as if this was the first time that he saw this room

Everything is both familiar and unfamiliar. Even the common thing like the gold-colored Magic Ring on his finger is like a new thing for him

Halli pushed down all the confusion on his head first and didn't think much of it as he remembered why he got very drunk last night

Yesterday, he had a lucky encounter with a powerful mage. His average self with the help of that lucky encounter can rise to the top!

Deciding to check it, the Prince closed his eyes and controlled his mana. Some lightning appeared on his finger. But unlike the yellow-colored lightning that most mages can use, his has some tinge of red on it

From what Halli knows, if he managed to make his lightning into a full red color, its power will be unimaginable

The mage he encountered is a very powerful one but is already nearing his life span. Because of that, the esteemed mage gave him his inheritance

The prince then continued and his mind entered his consciousness sea/spirit sea and looked at his soul

Just like the usual soul, his own soul was a ball of light without any color. But because of the elemental seed inside his soul, it gained a yellowish feeling

But inside his Elemental Seed is a bolt of small red lightning. Somehow, it gave Halli a feeling that the lightning is incomplete and it only has half of it

Halli looked at that lightning happily and when he focuses his mind on it, a stream of information was transmitted directly to his mind and he gained a powerful Cultivation Art

The basic knowledge about the cultivation art is now imprinted on Halli's mind and he can start practicing it as soon as he wants to

Just the basics of it were enough to amaze Halli. As a Crowned Prince, he has access to the high leveled Cultivation Arts in the Thunder Gold Kingdom. That's why just learning the basics of the Art that he gained amazed him a lot as he can already feel how superior it was compared to all the ones that he had read!

Halli withdrew his mind on his consciousness sea and spread his senses around him to check something

Although Halli is already prepared for it, but he was still overwhelmed at how docile the surrounding mana is to him. He met almost resistance at all. It's like the world's mana is very fond of him

After checking it, Halli opened his eyes with a smile. Although he gained such a powerful Art and was also blessed by the Esteemed Mage, there is still a sense of emptiness in his heart

Halli feels like there is someone that he wants to see and share this fortuitous encounter of his. However, the problem is that he doesn't like anyone!

"My apologies for disturbing the Crowned Prince" The servant immediately apologized first as she was afraid that he'll be the one that will taste the prince's temper this time

"The Queen ordered this lowly servant to inform the Crown Prince that the Queen wants to see him" The servant continued and the annoyance of Halli immediately vanished

He might be the Crowned Prince but the King and Queen can still control his life. Even his lavish lifestyle was all because of those two supporting him

"Inform Royal Mother that I'll be there in ten minutes!" Halli answered before entering his bathroom to take a quick shower. He didn't dare take too much time on the shower as he can't have the Queen wait for too long

After the quick shower, Halli immediately wore his imperial clothes that have the image of a golden dragon embroidered to it

Just the cost of this one set of clothing was enough to feed a few families for a lifetime.

After tidying himself, the prince then exited his room. His home gave him yet another unfamiliar feeling although he already memorized all parts of the Royal Palace

The servants guided him to where the Queen is. She was sitting on a gold and red throne with three people standing in front of her respectfully

Halli ignored those three as he doesn't care what Clan they came from. The Royal Family is still the strongest. Although there are strong Clans and organizations that the Royal Family still can't easily offend but the Royals are still the most powerful side. That is the source of Halli's confidence

"Royal Mother, you have called for me?" Halli respectfully asked the woman that also gave him a sense of unfamiliarity although the woman is his own mother

The Queen smiled in Halli's direction causing the three people to look at him

The three was composed of two old people and the last one is a youth of similar age to Halli

When the youth looked at the Crowned Prince, he can't stop the frown from forming on his face before he immediately returned his expression to normal

The youth has a cute charm on him. But the normal expression on his face turned that cute charm into a cold and manly one. He looks as if he tasted how the world really works. His body was exuding with experience unlike the naive and pampered Crowned Prince

The youth is called Kier Vere of the Vere family. One of the most influential clans in the whole Thunder Gold Kingdom. Some even say that the Vere Clan is only second in power to the Royal Family

One might expect that the two sides will have frictions with each other but the two families have a lot of marriages with each other. This enabled their relationship to be quite good and the two families don't have any enmity with each other

"Son, come here" The Queen gently said and the Prince who only has his eyes on the Queen silently obeyed and he stood next to the Queen

"Son, these three came from the Vere Family. The one at the same age as you is General Brix's son and the others are his guards. Quickly greet the General's son"

When Halli finally looked at the three people, his vision immediately locked on the youth in the middle and he can't turn away his gaze from him

The handsome youth felt very familiar to him. But that should not be possible. This is Halli's first time meeting the Number 1 General's son

Halli also didn't know why he can't describe his emotions when he saw the youth. It's like there is some part of him that wants to own, love, and have sex with that man

"Ehem ..." Seeing that Halli didn't say anything, the Queen cough lightly, urging for the prince to say anything. That also woke up Halli from his thoughts and he masked his real emotions immediately and gave half-hearted greetings

"Halli, can you show Kier around the Imperial Garden? You two can use this time to know each other" The Queen said with a double meaning

The double meaning was naturally understood by Halli and he doesn't quite like where this is heading

"Royal Mother, what do you mean?" Halli asked respectfully although he already has a feeling of what this is all about

"Son, you're already sixteen. It would be better if you met the love of your life early, right? The Vere Family and our Family wants to deepen our ties. It wouldn't be bad if the Crowned Prince and the Young Master of the Vere Family marry each other "

Just as Halli expected, his Mother wants him to Marry the son of General Brix. It gave Halli's heart a joyful feeling as if that is something that he greatly wants

However, Halli's 'memories' interfered. As Halli is what you can call a man of no strings attached, he doesn't want to marry someone this early

Besides, with this, even if Halli is still not married, as long as there is a chance for him and General Brix's son, he wouldn't be able to mess around like what he did before

His parents doted on him as their only son but the Vere Family is only second to the Royal Family. It would be scandalous if he 'cheated' on the Vere Family's Young Master and his Royal Parents won't allow that!
