After a few more days, Kence and his company finally arrived at Escardon City. They should have arrived earlier but Kence decided to sightsee other towns and cities to freshen his mind

The man from the illusion was always surfacing on his mind and he needed to calm himself. Kence did that by distracting himself from the scenery and the local foods

Escardon City is only a City yet it's bigger than even the Cold Blue Kingdom's capital. If not for its City Lord being 'low key' and not meddling on any political things, this City might very well be the capital of the strongest Kingdom

The City's gate was towering and enormous. Kence literally stretched his neck just to see the top of the walls

Kence's mouth parted in amazement. The design was really beautiful and when he looks at the side, Kence saw some towers that are part of the city's walls

Those towers were emanating a powerful magical aura. No doubt that they were used to guard the city against invaders which was actually not needed

The three greatest kingdoms would never think of attacking this city. Doing so is a foolish act

Kence's carriage finally entered the City after his guards dealt with the technicalities. What he saw first was a beautiful long road and at the end of it was a fountain with a large empty space around it

"Young Master, please always be with me. Grand Knight mages here are even more common than our Kingdom's Capital" Noom warned his master

They are only at the entrance yet Noom already sensed several Grand Knights as if they were random cabbages. As the City of an expert even more powerful than the strongest mage of the Three Kingdoms, this much is something to be expected

"Okay!" Kence answered and continued looking at his surroundings like a kid

The City's entrance was beautiful, it was made purely to welcome the visitors and its citizens. There are no stalls, shops, etc. around it. There was only the road with colorful flowers on the side

Kence's party stopped in the inner area of ??????the City. As it was hard to be a permanent citizen in Escardon City, there are an uncountable number of hotels around

They went to one of the high-class ones befitting of Kence's status and backing

The hotel was a six-story building that has a bluish color. Noom chose this as he is afraid that Kence will get homesick and decided to stay in a hotel with designs similar to the ones back at their home

As usual, Kence's guard was the one that processed the technicalities and guided Kence to a room

The room was ridiculously big just like the one that Kence has back at the Royal Palace. It can easily let tens of people stay inside

There are even other rooms inside the room for Kence's guards as they need to be close to him in case a danger arrives.??

"Is it to your liking, Young Master?" Noom asked and Kence nodded his head. Kence isn't picky about what room he will sleep in. As long as it is a comfortable place then everything is alright

"Can we stroll around the City?" Kence asked Noom with hopeful eyes. For Noom, that is dangerous but he can't resist it when Kence is giving him such a look

The guard can only nod his head to agree. "Alright, but Young Master needs to be accompanied by guards"

Kence pouted at that. He sometimes thinks that people were staring at him only because he was always surrounded by guards. And Kence doesn't like being stared at!

"Can it be you only? It would be more eye-catching to have too many guards around, please?" Kence gave Noom the puppy eyes of his and the guard's face twitches

If being cute is a sin then Kence would be sentenced to eternal imprisonment! "Y-Young Master, i-it's dangerous with only me"

Noom knows that although he is a Grand Knight, he's still weak. He is actually the weakest among Kence guards. It was just his fortune that he is favored by the young master and that is the reason why he genuinely wants Kence to always be safe

"Please .... pleaseee! I'll behave, I promise!" Kence pleaded and it Noom a headache

Noom will never think that Kence will offend anyone. What a joke! The youth was too kind to do that

The problem is not with Kence but with the people that have shitty personalities. Having Kence's face is already a sin if you are weak. Tons of people will line up to own him

If not for Otto, who knows what fate this innocent youth will have. Anyone will shudder just by thinking about it

The spoiled young masters or even the older men would surely cause trouble for Kence to have him do what they want

"Please! I'll be good, okay? You don't need to worry about me!" Without waiting for Noom's reply, Kence already walks to exit his room while waving as a way of urging his guard to follow him

Kence saw the fountain at the entrance before and he wants to see it closer. The youth has a soft spot for beautiful things

Noom can only wish that nothing bad will happen and followed Kence while letting the other guards wait in their room

The two reached the fountain and Kence saw some kids playing around it. The huge fountain was actually the city's landmark and a lot of people went to visit it. It was tens of meters in diameter and even have smaller fountains inside

The fountain has a silver color and on top of it were several floating small lands with plants that were made possible by magic

Seeing the kids happily playing around brought a smile to Kence. For him, those kids are really cute, he had an urge to pinch their chubby cheeks

Kence took his magic phone from his spatial ring. The phone was only a flat circle like thing with a round button on the inside. Kence tapped that button and a screen appeared on top of it that showed his contact lists

Kence tapped an icon on the screen and the round button in the middle floated. The things on the screen changed and Kence saw the fountain on it

This is one of the magic phone's functions. It can capture images and save them

"It's this unfamiliar feeling again" Kence muttered to himself in annoyance. Every common magic gadgets in the realm always felt foreign for him in the past month for some reason

Kence just ignored it as usual and controlled the imagery stone to adjust before tapping it. After Kence tapped the imagery stone, the fountain along with the kids playing on it was captured and saved on his phone

"Noom look! The kids are so cute!" Kence said to his guard while showing the image he took

'Young Master, you are also like a child' Noom thought on his mind but never dared to say it out loud

Kence continued taking some more pictures before he saw the kids coming to him. Unlike with the adults, Kence isn't uncomfortable towards kids and he smiled at them

One of the little girls stood in front of Kence and looked straight at the youth's eyes. "Big Brother, you are so cute like a girl!" The little girl complimented with its childish voice and Kence's face twitched a bit

For Kence, being told that he's as cute as a girl isn't a compliment! He's a man okay? A man!

However, since the girl is only a kid, Kence can't get angry at her. "Big Brother is not cute, Big Brother is handsome!" Kence said while pinching the cute chubby cheeks of the kid

"Big Brother my girlfriend is right! You're really as cute as a girl!" One of the boys seconded and Kence blinked his eyes repeatedly

"G-girlfriend?" Kence thought that he must have heard wrong. These kids are only about five to seven years old, how come they already have a girlfriend?

The boy looks as if he was offended and hold the little girl's hands. "Big Brother don't judge us! We are still young but we are going to marry each other in the future, right?"

The little girl bashfully blushed and nodded her head while a smile unconsciously formed on her lips. "Y-yes" the girl answered shyly

Kence looked incredulously at the kids and felt like he was dreaming. Are kids actually like this now?

Noom on the side watching this did his best to hold his laughter. The expression on Kence's face made him look like he has diarrhea

Kence coughs awkwardly and can only pat the kids' heads. "Alright, alright, Big Brother is not judging you. Here, this is Big Brother's token of apology"

Small candies appeared on Kence's palm and he gave it to the kids who happily took it. "Big Brother you're kind!" One of the kids said before they happily run around again leaving Kence that can only shake his head

"You're good at kids, want to have one with me?" A lewd voice entered Kence and when he looked at the source, he saw a fat man with drool on the side of his mouth

Kence isn't judgmental but that made him instantly disgusted

Noom gritted his teeth and shielded Kence with his body. This is the part he's afraid of happening. Noom expected that they will meet perverts today but he never thought that they will meet one that is this straightforward!

His opening words were already that inappropriate, what more if he continues to talk?

"Please go away, we don't want trouble!" Noom said coldly and let out a bit of his aura. In the Cold Blue Kingdom, Noom can fully explode his aura but this place is different

The experts in the City are more numerous and Kence's backing is hard to use here. In the Kingdom, Kence's status can deter a lot of perverts

But here, the things that the Cold Blue Kingdom can do are limited. They can't put pressure in Escardon City if someone offended them

The only way to get revenge was to wait when the offender exited the city. But if the offender knew that he'll be killed outside the city, would he go outside the safe zone?

Escardon City is as neutral as it can be. It won't meddle in the other powerhouses affair but it has its own rules. No one can cause a huge commotion inside the city!

If you have grudges the City won't care as long as you won't cause trouble! It was too hard to get revenge on someone that is hiding inside this City

"What trouble? I just saw the youth being good with kids and offered my help!" The fat man replied. Noom's ears almost burst at that. He can't believe that someone can be this shameless!

A frown appeared on Kence's face. He was just enjoying the place why does this 'bad guy' giving him trouble?

"Again, please go away. We don't need your help" Noom said coldly and the fat man laughed. "What if I don't, what will you do?"

"The Young Master behind me is the son of Duke Otto Crosmoner of Cold Blue Kingdom. Please give us some face" Noom finally used their trump card as he can sense Kence getting more and more uncomfortable

"Oh? No wonder he is this beautiful, he actually came from the Land of Snow and Beauty. This made me like him more" the fat man acts as if he doesn't hear what kind of backing Kence has, making Noom's face to darken

"I'm from the Menace Kingdom, a descendant from a branch family of the current Royals. How about I take him as my wife? That will be beneficial for both our families" the shamelessness of this man really knows no bounds

It gave Noom and Kence a huge headache
