"Are you sure you want to try it?" Xian asked in concern to Kence that nodded his head. "I can just use the lotion if I can't bear the pain" Kence replied and dipped his foot on the icy blue pool

Kence only dipped his foot for a second before he immediately retracted it while making a sound of pain. "A-aww!"

"A-are you alright?" Xian asked worriedly and Kence bit his lower lip before nodding his head. "Y-yeah, b-but I didn't think it would be this painful" Kence replied while sighing. Why is his pain tolerance this low?

"Here, use this" Xian said and handed a bottle of lotion to Kence

When Kence opened the bottle, a strong but sweet medicinal scent immediately wafted on the air. He squeezed the bottle and uses mana to spread a thin layer of the lotion to his body

Kence might not be as talented as Calter but using magic is extremely easy for him too

"Good luck!" Xian said and Kence nodded his head before dipping his foot in the pool again

This time, Kence doesn't feel any pain anymore and he submerges his body in it. The pool was large but it was quite shallow. Even to the short Kence, the pool only reached his neck

On the other side, Kier directly entered the mana pool and gritted his teeth while enduring the pain that causes his body to sweat. It was painful but Kier was willing to take the pain to become stronger

Halli doesn't want to lose to Kier and entered the pool too but he only lasted for a few seconds before he can't take the pain anymore. If it was normal times, Kier would surely 'gloat' at Halli's misfortune but he was busy enduring the pain to bother being childish

As for Kence, some of the ice type mana went straight to his heart. He doesn't know what is happening there as he can't see his own heart but Kence can feel that it was making him stronger

Even the space connected to his spirit sea becomes a bit colder with more parts of his heart turning into ice

While for Kier and Halli, some of the mana they absorbed went straight to the small bolt of lightning inside their souls, strengthening it in the process

Kier, Halli, and Kence's aura grew at a rapid pace and more of the surrounding mana was sucked into their bodies as they are having a breakthrough from Magic Warrior Rank to Magic Knight Rank

Only Calter was different. He was the one that has the highest speed of absorption but he can't have a breakthrough in front of these people

Calter has secrets and his breakthrough in every rank will always anger the heavens. Within a month, Calter became numb to the pain in the pool and he sneakily cultivated his cultivation art that made his physique stronger. His speed in it increases a lot due to the huge influx of mana that didn't make his foundations weaker

Breaking through from Magic Warrior to Magic Knight is a bit dangerous than Calter's first breakthrough and he needs some time to improve himself first

Fortunately for him, the Head Master arrived in time. He was still contemplating things when the girl dragged him away

"I need you to do something for me!" The Head Master said while some sort of force wrapped on Calter's body and he flew in the air

"The Head Master is being weird again"

"Another unfortunate student was dragged away"

The students said to each other after the Head Master vanished from their sights

To Calter's shock, the Head Master slapped in an empty space, and space itself has ripped apart. "T-this ... t-too strong!" Calter thought in his mind

To be able to rip space, what kind of concept is that and what kind of power is needed to do that? Calter can't believe that he was seeing such a thing

The two entered the rip in space that was stabilized by the Head Master's power and the next thing that Calter saw was a mountain

"Here we are. I kinda get irritated at this mountain and for your task, make as much damage as you can to it. Don't worry about your safety, no other creature is here. So yeah, destroy it as much as you want. I'll be back after some time "

After that, the Head Master threw Calter's body to the top of the mountain before making another rip on space

Calter landed on the mountain in a gentle manner and he looked around him. The mountain was quite barren and dry, it doesn't even have any trees on it anymore

It looks like a single large block of rock

"That girl, why is she this weird" Calter muttered irritatedly. He focused on his cultivation for the past month but he also watched Kence and Xian getting closer to each other

There are a lot of times that Calter was about to charge at them but he will then feel that the mage above the pool was looking at him

No matter how much Calter wants to prevent Kence from interacting with Xian, he cannot do that with the eyes watching him
