Magic With You

The flowers spread green pollens that charged at Calter and Kence's direction. The two didn't know what effects it has but they can't let themselves sniff or have physical contact with those pollens

Calter spread out his arms and uses his magic to burn the pollens. "[Dark Magic: Shadow Flame!]" Black tongue of flames spread around and it burned down the pollens but Calter was unable to burn all the pollens around and some of them continued in his directions

"[Ice Magic: Freezing Fog!]" Icy blue fogs spread on each of Calter's side and the pollens crystallizes before they all fell on the ground

"What are you doing? I told you to run from here!" Calter said in annoyance. When will Kence listen to him?

"I-I'm not weak! I can help you!" Kence said stubbornly before making another move again

"[Snow Magic: Heavy Snow!]" Kence raised his hand before aggressively lowering it. Tens of small snows fell down from the ceiling and it managed to smash and destroy any flowers that it fell into

Even Gam was forced to use his sword to destroy the snows coming to him

"Let's go!" Calter said and pulled Kence in the wrist. To not waste any more time, Calter even covered his feet with his magical power and smashed the walls with it

Fortunately, the town is unlike the Royal Capital or other high-end cities. The inns are not as durable as the ones Calter is used to. If not, he wouldn't be able to smash the walls this easy

Calter jumped down from the walls while still holding Kence's milky white wrist and they started descending to the ground at a fast speed

"W-wahhh!!" Kence said in panic before a black shield appeared below them. It gave the two a footing so that they won't be injured after they fell to the ground

However, at that time, tens of vines approached them. "Use a strong magic of yours" Kence said before a rune appeared in his hand that protected them from the vines

Using an item like this is generally not allowed as the students will not be able to show their true skills if they relied on treasures. However, things are different now

In Escardon Realm and many other Realms, anything is allowed if the enemy is a God's believer. The believers can either be powerful or ridiculously powerful!

It is not uncommon for Knight Level Paladins to kill Grand Knights even if it will cost them their lives. It all depends on how much effort the Gods want to exert to save their believer or have their believers kill someone

The impact from the vines managed to create after hitting the barrier pushed the two away but at that time, Calter managed to successfully use his spell

"[Dark Summon Magic: Skeleton Mages!]" Calter waved his hand to the side and a summoning circle appeared on it

From the circle, five skeletons wearing different robes came out. Their colors are fire red, aqua blue, earthen brown, icy blue, and light green

Five balls of different color came out from the staffs that the skeleton mages were holding and they all have Gam as the target

Gam simply uses his sword and smashed the balls away but Calter and Kence made their move again

"[Snow Magic: Exploding Snow!]" Kence raised his hand and tens of small snows appeared above Gam again

With all the training that Kence had with Prince Xian, his fighting strength increases a lot. Even his Snow Magic reaches the point that he can already use it in a fight

As for Calter, his eyes glowed with a dark light before he slashed his sword in the air. "[Dark Magic: Phantom Slash!]"

Gam smashed his sword in the ground causing it to crack before his whole body was covered by a human-size flower bud that shielded him from the attacks of the two

Seeing that, Calter dashed at Gam's position with his sword. As soon as Gam removed the petals that protected him, it was Calter that he first saw

Gam didn't panic at that and the large petals detached themselves before attacking Calter

Calter slashed his sword to the petals and his hands turned numb due to the vibration it causes. The petals are ridiculously hard and Calter's sword only left a small cut in it

"[Ice Magic: Ice Vines!]" Icy blue vines wrapped in Kence's arms and it grew longer

Kence went closer to Gam and controlled the vines in his arms to slapped the enemy

Gam simply uses the other large petals and when Kence's ice whipped it, the ice vines were destroyed causing pieces of ice to fly around

"H-how can it be that hard?" Kence asked in shock but Gam just sneered at him before he felt the ground moving

The ground tried swallowing Gam but he just uses his legs to kick the ground away and pieces of it flew everywhere

After that, the skeleton mages wearing red and green robes teamed up with each other

The green one uses magic and it shot a streak of green winds towards the enemy while the red one ignited the winds with fire that boosted both of their powers

The other two didn't stand idly too as the aqua blue one also shot a streak of water towards Gam while the icy blue one freezes the water

Two contrasting attacks approached Gam and if that wasn't enough the other two mages made their moves too

"[Dark Magic: Demonic Beast's Arm!]" Calter's right hand turned thicker and a layer of black skin covered it. "[Dark Magic: Shadow Flames!]"

The combination of Calter's strengthened arm power and shadow flames would surely generate a strong power. If it hits Gam directly, there is a high chance that he would die

"[Ice Magic: Ice Feathers!]" Kence spread his arms around and the area around him was suddenly filled with sharp feathers made from ice and all their attacks only have Gam as the target

Gam gritted his teeth at that before a green aura covered the entirety of his body

Gam was suddenly enclosed inside another flower bud that floated in the air while stems and roots grew out from it. Despite the numerous powerful attacks that hit the petals, they didn't even manage to make a dent in it

"[Dark Magic: Dark Blessing!]" A black aura covered Calter's body and he moved away from Gam. If not, who knows what will happen to him

In a speed visible to the eyes, the flower that encloses Gam became as tall as the buildings around, and its roots seek life

Calter and Kence saw how the giant tree flower wrapped its roots towards the unconscious townsmen

Calter is already wondering why the fight didn't cause any commotion but it turns out that it might be because Gam did something to make them lose consciousness

Calter's face darkened at this and he summoned an additional ten skeleton mages that shocked Kence a lot. However, it might sound strong but in front of a God's power, even these much skeleton mages are still nothing

"Attack!" Calter ordered and different elemental attacks flew in the air and hit the flower tree. However, even if they destroyed small parts of it, the flower will just regenerate the damages it took

When Calter stared at the townsmen that were wrapped in roots, he saw that their faces are turning pale the more time that passes

"It's absorbing their mana!" Calter said in shock and desperately ordered the skeleton mages to shoot their attacks again

Calter will never let Kence die here!

Calter gripped his sword tighter than before and uses all the mana he can to coat his sword. He can't use all the mana he currently has but Calter pushed himself to pass his body's limits

His soul ache and gave him a huge sense of pain for using this much mana but Calter ignored it all

The young master jumped high in the air and slashed his sword towards the flower bud where Gam is. However, the roots moved and protected the flower bud

Even when Calter uses all his power, he still wasn't able to cut all the roots to destroy the flower bud and a huge sense of fatigue overcome his body

One of the roots moved and slapped Calter's body away. Calter was powerless in front of that power and his body was thrown tens of meters away to the point that his body hits the walls of one of the buildings around

The wall was smashed apart and Calter's whole body bled because of that

Kence's heart started beating crazily as he watched what happened to Calter. Tears were unknowingly shed by Kence's eyes and he threw all caution in the wind to run at where Calter currently is

When Kence reached Calter's position, he saw the man's bloody body and Calter is almost unconscious now

"D-don't sleep!" Kence shouted in panic and took out a small vial containing a healing potion to give to Calter

However, Calter saw another root was approaching Kence. Calter's body is already extremely tired and injured but it still moved on its own. His speed was even faster than him at his peak

Calter pushed Kence away and the latter watched in shock as the root impaled Calter in the stomach
