Magic With You

Chapter 224 - 224

"Just focus on the defense, okay?" Calter said gently to Kence along the way that becomes dissatisfied with him again. "When will you stop underestimating me?" Kence asked while pinching Calter on the side

"I'm not underestimating you, I just want my future boyfriend to be always safe, there is a big difference between the two" Calter said with a sigh as Kence is always making him helpless. When will Kence ever listen to him?

"S-stop calling me your boyfriend!" Kence said in embarrassment but he can still feel his heart leaping in joy. Why does his heart need to be happy in every single 'cheesy' yet 'hateful' thing that Calter says to him?

"Why? You don't want to be my boyfriend?" Calter asked in a sad and hurt tone causing Kence's heart to be filled with guilt. How can he hurt Calter?

"I-It's not that I don't want to, I-I just get shy easily and t-things are too f-fast ...." Kence replied with a weak tone before he saw Calter smiling wildly at him

"Then as long as I take it slow, you will agree to be my boyfriend?" Calter asked with a big smile and Kence's eyes widened in realization. "Y-you guilt trip me!"

As an answer, Calter just acted innocently. "What are you saying? I'm not like that" too bad for Calter that Kence won't buy that. "B-Bad Calter!" Kence said before making a 'hmph' sound

It seems like Calter made his future boyfriend angry again. Unfortunately, they don't have a chance to be sweet with each other anymore as they reached the end of the path they chose

The two found themselves in the middle of another room and the path behind them is now closed. On the other side of the wall as an engraving of a sword and it lit up with a blinding light

Kence and Calter were forced to close their eyes as the light was too much for their eyes to handle and it took a few seconds before the light vanishes. Only then did the two were able to open their eyes

What they saw as soon as they opened their eyes were five humans holding a heavy sword in their hands

"H-Humans?" Kence asked in shock and before Calter waved his hand. "Look at their eyes" Calter said and Kence did what he was told and it made him shocked

The eyes of these five humans are currently devoid of any life, they were too lifeless and they are not eyes that a living human has

"They might be humans that were trapped in this Dungeon. Don't let your guard down" Calter continued and Kence nodded his head. As innocent as Kence, he still knows when a danger has come

To be as safe as possible, Calter spread his arms around and summoned his creatures

"[Dark Summon Magic: Skeleton Mages!]"

"[Dark Summon Magic: Ghoul!]"

Five skeleton mages wearing different robes and three ghouls with menacing look immediately appeared before the two sides clashed

Calter charges at one of the human enemies with the sword in his hand that was coated with his mana

One of the humans also charges in Calter's direction and their swords clashed causing the ground below them to crack

It was just the first round but Calter already felt some numbing sensation from his hand because of the impact. Calter's body is superior to most mages but his enemy actually manages to numb his arms

That clash already helped Calter to gauge his enemies strength and when he looks at the other humans, he saw that they are defeating his summoned creatures

The skeleton mages were killed one by one. They are not that good at close range fighting yet the humans' speed is extremely fast and a single sword slash was enough to crack their whole bodies

If not for Kence helping them, more of them would have died

The ghouls can give the humans some good fight but they are still being overpowered. Seems like Calter's choice of summoning them was wrong. They are a bad match for these humans

The skeleton mages should be protected as their forte are long-range attacks while the ghoul's selling point is their agility. The humans that look like heavy tanks with strong attack power was a dangerous enemy for them

Calter felt his enemy putting more strength in his sword and he was forced to jump away

The human's sword slammed on the ground leaving a huge crack on it and Calter's eyes squinted at the raw power that the humans have. "Could it be ... a Magic Swordsman?!" Calter asked in shock

Now that Calter thinks of it, the symbol is of a sword. It was safe to assume that the enemies would be Magic Swordsmen. They are the type of mages that are stronger than normal as they have strong bodies

Calter clicked his tongue from the realization as he knew that he cannot kill them with his attacks that have the strongest strength as it will use up a lot of mana

Calter cannot put too much pressure on his soul as these Magic Swordsmen are not the last enemies he and Kence would encounter

The young master has suddenly put in quite a pinch of a situation. He can't use too powerful magic as it will use up a lot of his mana but he also cannot let the fight happen for too long as it will defeat the purpose of preserving his soul power

It was too bad that Calter's soul is still not strong enough to use all of his mana. If not, then things would be easier

Thinking of this, Calter needs to be smart which isn't that hard of a thing. The Magic Swordsmen only has simple minds and battle instinct. They don't have a functioning complex mind like what the human has

"Calter! I don't have much of a use in planning but I am strong too! I can help us in our situation" Kence shouted as the last skeleton mage and one of the ghouls that were keeping most of the enemies' attention died

Kence's words cause Calter to look at him and it seems like he really needs to rely on Kence for the plan he had already thought

"Okay, slow their movement as much as possible!" Calter shouted back and Kence nodded his head

"[Snow Magic: Sticky Snow!]" Kence raises his hand and tens of small snows formed above his enemies and it landed on their bodies

Just like what Calter thought, the enemies have simple minds. The snows don't look that dangerous and they just let it touch their bodies to continue killing the remaining two ghouls and also turning their attention to Kence and Calter

The snow that looks extremely light turned a lot heavier to the point that even the humans were affected by their weight. However, since the five are Magic Swordsmen, it would have limited effects on their movements

Kence's ice and snow is colder than normal and it even passively spreads harmful cold energies to the enemy's body but the humans acted as if they can't feel it

These swordsmen are really only puppets! They can't even feel pain, how pitiful

Seeing that his snows have limited effects, Kence made another move and he slammed his feet on the ground spreading his energies on it

Soon, thick ice formed from the humans' feet and that would surely be enough for Calter to do what he had planned

Calter didn't waste any more time, he knew that even before he can reach the enemy, they would already regain their feet. In fact, they don't even need to, the humans only need to swing their swords for defense

Calter jumped high in the air with his sword before four black nails made from mana appeared in between the spaces of his fingers

"[Dark Magic: Shadow Nails!]"

The young master threw those nails not directly to the enemies but only to the shadows below them. Calter only aimed at the four that are not occupied by the ghouls and their bodies stiffened

The nails are only made from mana but they didn't dissipate even after they hit their targets. Soon, Calter reach one of the swordsmen and his swords slashed its neck causing a whole human head to be thrown in the air

Kence felt disgusted by that but he steeled himself and continued freezing the enemies' feet. It was the combination of his ice and Calter's nail attack that prevented the enemy from moving, he can't lose focus on this dangerous situation

After killing the first one, Calter didn't stop even for a split second and he continued charging towards the closest enemy to him

However, the humans are really power and Calter's next target was already regaining its movement. Because of that, black energy covered Calter's whole body and his speed received an explosive growth

Even before the magic swordsman can fully move again, Calter already severed his head and another human head flew in the ai
