Magic With You

Calter waved his sword and four snakes that have bodies completely black in color formed in front of him. The snakes traveled in the air and they approached the archers

Because of Calter's move, the archers were forced to spare an arrow shot if they don't want to die. The wind arrows hit the bodies of the snake but that enabled Kence to harvest another one of their lives

Kence's whip grew in size again and he swung it towards the archer. The youth successfully hits another enemy and just like before, the archer's body was slammed on the wall

With the thorns from Kence's whip, even if the archer didn't die after being hit that hard, cold energies would still enter his body and kill him from the inside

That action of Kence seemed to anger the other archers and their hands' speed increase by a lot

The archers shot arrows continuously on the air and before the arrows can fall down, they turned into tens of smaller arrows that rained down on a large area

Both Kence and Calter were forced to put their focus on defending themselves from the arrows. Kence continuously slapped his whip in the air to destroy the wind arrows while Calter uses his sword to keep himself safe

However, the rate at which the arrows were coming continued to increase and it was getting harder for the two to defend themselves. One wrong move can literally cause wind arrows to put holes in their bodies

As a result, Kence made a thorny ice dome around him. The dome can defend him against the arrows from some time

Kence waved his hand and the thorns in the dome detached themselves before they all flew towards the archer

Even an inch of panic cannot be seen at the archers though and they just changed their tactics. Instead of shooting the arrows in the air, one of them changed their targets to Kence

The archer gathered huge amounts of magic power in its hand and a wind arrow appeared on it. The arrow was bigger and thicker than before and it was emitting a loud screeching sound

It was no doubt that this arrow packed quite a lot of power. The archer didn't waste any more time and the arrow cuts the air and it aimed for Kence's life

Te ice thorns coming towards the archers were blown away by the arrow and it easily penetrated Kence's ice dome causing pieces of ice to be thrown in the air

Kence moved his body to the side so that he can dodge the arrow but to his shock, the wind arrow exploded and his body was blown away

"Kence!" Calter shouted in shock and a wave of extreme anger starts to fill his whole body

A black aura that was giving off a menacing feeling surrounded Calter's body and it even causes the archer's body to tremble

Behind Calter, the image of a snake five meters in height starts to appear. The snake's eyes reflected Calter's anger before its body moved like an arrow

In literally less than a second, the snake already appeared in front of the archers. However, the archers are strong too and they continuously shot their arrows towards the snake

The arrows destroyed the snake's head but it was not a real living being. It was only a snake made by Calter's magic

Despite its head being obliterated, the snake still moved its tail and it slammed on the three archers causing their bodies to be thrown away

Cracking sounds can also be heard as the archers broke one or two bones each

After that, the snake's head 'recovered' but before Calter can even control it to continue killing the archers, his eyes already locked on Kence

Kence appeared behind two of the archers while frosty energy can be seen in his palms. Kence slammed his palms on the head of the two archers and they immediately froze

Kence's ice was superior to normal! A direct hit from it is not something you will want to experience. It was already hard to prevent a powerful ice mage from freezing one's body what more if their ice had the same quality as the one that Kence can make?

The heads of the archers were immediately frozen before Kence clenches his palms and the ice was pulverized only leaving a single archer

The snake that Calter made at that time already reached the position of the last archer and it bit its head off. Aside from the size, the snake is really powerful. It was even stronger than the creatures that Calter can summon but using it costs too much mana that he was unwilling to use it before

However, since Calter saw Kence being injured, how can he let the archers continue living? They should have died!

As soon as the archers died, the wall on the other side of the cave room moved on its own and another timer appeared. This time the countdown is fifteen minutes, five minutes more than the previous one

Calter ignored that though as he immediately went to where Kence is located

"Are you hu ..." Calter wasn't even able to continue his words as he saw that some areas of Kence's body were encased inside a piece of ice. The ice was pretty translucent and Calter saw several cuts on the youth's body

"I'm sorry, I was not able to protect you" Calter said while his heart starts to ache. The pain he had felt might even be more painful than receiving this kind of injury

At this time, Kence is already back to normal and he shook his head. "It was not your fault, I was just too weak" Kence said with a sigh but Calter didn't think like that

For Calter, his future boyfriend's safety is something that he should always protect. Since he let Kence got hurt, he was a big failure

"In the next round, just stay on the side okay? Let me deal with it. I don't want you to get hurt anymore. I'll make sure to keep you sa-" Calter wasn't able to finish his words again as Kence pressed his finger in his mouth preventing him to speak

"My body, my responsibility. It was not your fault that I got hurt. Don't think too much of it okay?" Kence said with both gentleness due to Calter's concern but also helplessness because he was being treated like a fragile flower again

Calter still wants to protest but Kence beats him to eat. "My wounds don't hurt or affect me much at all. I covered it with my ice and that numb the pain" Kence said truthfully

Kence's ice might be harmful towards other people but certainly not to him. The bleeding even stops immediately as he freezes it

Calter knew that he was being overprotective but he was still consumed by his self-blaming and love for Kence making him frustrated

In frustration, Calter can only bite Kence's finger as if he was a kid throwing a tantrum

"Y-you ... I-I'm injured! Why are you taking advantage of me again?!" Kence asked angrily but Calter just pursed his lips

"Oh? I thought you're a big boy that wasn't affected by his injuries? Why are you complaining?"

Kence starts to open his mouth and lecture Calter because of that but no words came out. Once again, Kence was beaten by Calter in verbal exchange and he became frustrated too

"D-don't twist my words!" Kence replied after some time and Calter can only shake his head before sitting on the hard ground

"Sit first, we only have some time to rest" Calter said while patting the ground next to him and Kence sat a bit far from him. Kence was worried that Calter would continue taking advantage of him if he sat next to the man

"Why are you too far?" Calter asked in a bad mood but Kence just give him an "I know what you are thinking look"

Calter just pretended he didn't see that and he took the liberty to sit next to Kence and his arm was immediately wrapped on the youth's shoulder

Kence's face blushed in shame because of that and he threw a cute glare towards Calter. "M-move your arm!" Kence said with a slightly loud voice

As a result, Calter really moved his arm but not in a way that Kence meant. Calter embraced Kence tighter and their bodies became even closer to each other much to Kence's 'dissatisfaction'

"W-what are you d-doing?" Kence asked angrily and Calter gave him a sweet smile. "Moving my arm just like what you said" Calter answered nonchalantly and Kence exploded in anger

"I mean move your arm away!" Kence said with a loud voice but Calter just pinches his nose. "You are cute when you are angry but be good, okay? If you continue being like that I might not be able to stop myself and discipline you with a kiss"

Kence almost cried tears of blood because of that.. When will Calter stop annoying him? He felt that he can't take the mixture of anger, embarrassment, joy, etc. anymore!
