Magic With You

Calter entered their room through the window that was in the same state as his heart..... shattered and broken....

The feeling of trillions of knives stabbing his heart never ceased and continued torturing him

"Kence...." seeing his beloved dyed with his own blood with a pale face, the already extremely horrible feeling inside him just multiplied by an uncountable number of times

The old man healer was still using his magic spell and a gentle pure blue water was doing its best to heal Kence's injury on the chest. Calter ignored everyone else and went to Kence's side while stroking the latter's hair gently. He made sure to engrave his beloved appearance on his heart and brain to make sure he will never forget him

That was unnecessary though. He spent ten years before in pursuing magic after Kence's first death but the youth's appearance never turned blurry on his head. It was the same when Kence was still alive, it was the face he will never forget

The healer sighed at Calter's actions while thinking that "Love is really powerful. A cold and indifferent person like young master Calter can show such a pained expression because of his lover's current condition"

His sigh entered Calter's ear and he misunderstood it. He thought that it was a sigh of being unable to do anything. A sigh on how he can say that it was too late and he is too weak to save Kence's life

The old man decided to say something to ease Calter's worry. The words uttered by his old lips has the effects of dragging Calter from the deep abyss of despair

"Young master Calter, don't worry about too much on young master Kence. His injury was more on the right side of his chest. Fortunately, our human's heart are located a bit to our left. We are lucky that he wasn't hit in any fatal location"

The old man said those words gently but for Calter it was as loud as the angry sky that roared out thunderous sounds. His body visibly shuddered and he looked at the old man while being agitated

"What did you say?!" Calter went on the old man's side and put his hands on the other's shoulder. His eyes were filled with worry that he heard things wrong

The old man's body was already very frail. It caused dizziness on his head but still forced himself to regain his senses to answer the young master. He's afraid that Calter will leave holes on his shoulder from how hard he was gripping him if he didn't immediately say anything. Add that to the fact that Calter's face that is full of blood was so close to his face made him very uncomfortable

"Y-young master, Kence will be fine after some treatment. His life isn't in any danger. He only needs to rest and wait for the wound to heal"

Calter's deep dark eyes violently trembled as if he cannot believe what he heard

"Are you saying the truth?!" Calter said in a desperate tone and the old man quickly nodded his head in affirmation

Calter then hurriedly went to Kence's side and started checking his pulse. Sure enough, the youth was still breathing. Not just that, Kence's pulse rate didn't even weaken at all. It was as good as a healthy person

"T-Thank God..." although Calter believed that Gods are just much more powerful Mages, but this time he can't help but utter such words. The rollercoaster of emotions really overwhelmed him. He thought that Kence will once again die because of him. But thank God he was safe

At the same time, Calter's thoughts cleared and he regained the clarity of his mind. His head started working in a fast speed and took noticed of more things

The sounds of hurried footsteps, entered everyone's ears. The commotion attracted a lot of people and they were finally arriving in the scene

Calter's eyes turned to look at Nan and immediately gave order. "Seal any opening in the room with your ice. Make sure that no one will see anything in this room!"

Nan wasn't able to react fast as he didn't know why Calter ordered such a thing. "DO IT!" Calter shouted angrily and Nan almost broke into tears

Why is Calter being such a bully? If Nan was any other Magic Knight they would surely lash out to Calter already. Luckily to the youth, Nan was mild tempered and deeply admired the City Lord and can take being treated like this

Nan used his mana and manipulated the principles of magic to close the window, door, and any sort of opening. Isolating them from the outside world

Narry and Emily with their night clothing arrived at the scene and saw that the room of their son was enclosed with ice which immediately made them to panic

"Son! Son!" Narry said in worry and was about to use a spell to destroy the ice before he heard Nan's voice from the inside

"Sternix Patriarch, please order the other people outside to not enter at least fifty meters of young master's room" Of course, Nan said this because of Calter's orders

Narry stopped his spell casting. Although he was worried and wonder why he need to do this but still obeyed and shouted at the servants what Nan ordered him

Emily was deeply worrying though, she stared at the ice door and already wanted it to vanish and enter her son's room. A tattoo of chains appeared at the back of her palm and was as if she was about to make a move before Narry stop her by holding her hand. This made Emily to take a deep breath and the chain tattoo vanished

After Narry barely made sure that no other people was around only then Nan made a small opening in the ice door to let the two enter

The two were extremely worried but saw that Calter was unharmed and only then their worries lessen a bit

"What happened here?" Narry said while looking at the unconscious Kence soaked with blood on the bed

"Assassin" Calter said with anger and pointed at one corner of the room. Calter also ordered Nan to retrieved the assassin's body who is now extremely mutilated and caused such a gory sight

His parents were uncomfortable at the sight but just ignored it and waited for a further explanation from Calter or Nan

"Kence put his life at risk to save me...." Calter said with an unhappy voice. He doesn't care if he dies but he can't take Kence dying again because of him. This made him to clench his jaws but tried to calm himself to explain things

"We still didn't know who was the mastermind but there are only few people or clans that has the motive" Calter said while thinking of the people he offended before

Narry nodded his head. To resort assassinating a Clan that was supported by the City Lord, it can only mean that the other party has a huge grievance towards Calter

"Do you think it is the Shan Clan or Bonny and Brony?" Narry asked. The Shan Clan along with that pair of father and son has the biggest probability of hiring an assassin to kill Calter

Few days for now was a fight for the honor of the Shan Clan, if they lose then all their pride would be crush. Brony on the other hand was turned into a muscle face without any skin, an action which he and his father would surely want to get revenge

"I don't know but whether it be the Shan Clan or Khan Clan I will make sure to exterminate them down to their roots in the future. I would rather kill hundreds of innocent people than to let the mastermind continue living"

The four people around can't stop themselves from inhaling a sharp breath. What is ruthless? This is ruthless!

Calter even said it as if it was a natural thing. If he really gained such power, no one in the room will doubt that Calter will not do what he said due to how he said it

It's like other people's lives were nothing to him. Which is actually a bit true. Beasts or human lives were the same to him. He will kill anyone who dare hurt his beloved Kence

For him, the only life that is important is Kence's life. Even the importance of his and his parent's life was less important that his own beloved

"If it is the Shan Clan, although I still don't know if they are the mastermind and I don't have enough power yet but I will make sure they will pay a huge price in my upcoming fight with them"

Calter said with killing intent before discussing his plan. "Nan, contact the City Lord and tell him I need him to come to our Clan now"

Nan nodded his head bitterly. He felt like the City Lord become some normal people on how Calter said those things in such a natural way. But the City Lord also told him that if Calter needed him, Nan should tell him as soon as possibly. Nan can only contact the City Lord to explain the assassination attempt and inform him that Calter wished to see him

Calter then turned to his parents and also gave them an order "Father, Mother. I want you two to subtly spread that I survived an assassination attempt but was heavily injured"

The two knitted their brows and asked why which Calter simply answered with a smirk "To make the Shan Clan lower their guards"

After speaking to his parents, Calter then turned to the old man healer on the side who was neglected

"You are under quarantine. For safety purposes, I cannot allow you to leave outside for even a second. I don't want my plans to be exposed" Calter said coldly and the old man can only nod his head bitterly. How come that in the Sternix Clan he was heavily respected but he was forced now to be isolated because of a brat's order? This is too unscientific!

The four didn't know what Calter's whole plans albeit they have some guesses. Still, it was enough to make them think of the Shan Clan with pity. No matter what Calter's plans, if it succeeded they are sure that things won't end good with the Shan Clan

Narry was not uncomfortable thinking of his relatives' fate though. Before, he didn't dare to do anything about them but now they can afford to offend such a clan all because of Calter and Kence who for unknown reason was extremely pampered by the City Lord himself

Narry is bit like Calter. Although he valued family but just because they are blood related doesn't mean he will be too soft and merciful. Your actions will still determine what I will think and do to you!

Visible at how he previously treated his son coldly. For him, he can pamper Calter all he wants but the only thing he wants to get back in return is his son working hard on his cultivation

He don't want to be stripped of the Nobility Title that his father worked hard to get just because his own son is a good for nothing

Besides, if the Shan Clan was really behind the assassination attempt of Calter, his son how can he forgive them?

Narry looked at Kence and felt thankful for the kid. He was actually the one that discovered Kence and adapted him. Kence was almost the same age as Calter and with that face and skin of his that time he will no doubt grew up into a beauty

He thought that Kence can become his son's bed warmer in the future. Now, he has the desire to salute to his past self for his actions. Without Kence, would Calter survived tonight's ordeal? Just thinking that his son almost died made Narry to feel fear

Making Kence a servant of the Sternix Clan was perhaps the best decision that Narry ever made on his life. The thought of wanting the youth to just become his son's bed warmer already vanished long ago

He wants Kence to really marry his son for real. With Kence's actions tonight, Narry even thought that the youth being the 'top' was a consolation for all the things he do and will do for Calter

Fortunately, the people in the Enchanted Star Realm put great importance in power. Even if you are of the same sex no one will make a fuss if you ended up together

After all, there's a lot of occurrences where two comrades in death due to constant life and death experience together fell in love with each other. Mages only wants to pursue the truths of magic, why bother and think about the same sex couples they will see?
