Calter looked at his mother with resentment. The attention that he was always possessive of was took away from him. This is a 'rare' occasion where the two aren't busy and Calter was really looking forward to it. Too bad that his mother snatched it away from him

The four started eating with Emily and Kence chatting with each other, completely ignoring the men in their lives

Calter looked at his father with disdain, the man can't even grab the attention of his own wife. Narry felt a gaze full of disdain that was directed at him and looked at Calter on his side

'This brat, how dare he look like this towards his own father?!' Narry thought angrily and wanted to smack Calter on the head but he didn't dare to

Even he, was afraid of his own son. What a miserable father

"By the way, Kence, your birthday is near. Do you have any place you wants to visit or any gift you would like to have? Mother will give it to you!" Emily boasted much to Calter's horror

"No! W-we have plans already, right Kence?" Calter looked at Kence with pleading eyes

"E-eh?" Kence doesn't want to lie but seeing how Calter look at him made him to have second thoughts

Calter then hold Kence's hand on the table and gave the latter the 'puppy eyes'

Kence's face twitched and reluctantly nodded his head. He doesn't like to lie but he also can't say no to Calter. For Kence, although he is close to Emily, the most important person on his life is still Calter

Calter heaved a sigh of relief and squeezed Kence's hand. "You see, Mother, Kence and I will celebrate his birthday with 'just the two of us' " Calter said emphasizing the words 'just the two of us'

It's actually not Kence's real birthday as the youth didn't exactly know when his birthday is. But it's the date that Narry adopted Kence and treated that date as Kence's birthday. It is still more than a month away but these people are too excited

"Calter, how can you solo Kence on his birthday?!" Emily asked angrily but Calter will never back down on this matter. This is Kence's first birthday that he will celebrate since he returned from the past. He would make it very special and he wants it to be just the two of them

"Mother, like I said, we already have plans!" Calter shamelessly lied. Kence and Narry can see imaginary electric sparks from how the two are looking at each other

Kence blinked his eyes repeatedly and didn't know what to do. For him, it's just an ordinary day, why would these two fight because of it

"Mother, Big Brother, i-it's just my birthday.... d-don't fight over it"

However, instead of stopping, the pair of mother and son just looked at Kence with burning eyes

"Your birthday is special!" The two shouted at the same time causing Kence to flinched "Y-yes!" The youth said pitifully

"Mother, don't shout at Kence!"

The two started a round of fighting again and Kence pouted before he felt someone poking him. Kence looked at the source and saw that it was Narry

The man was pointing at the door and mouthed 'let's go outside'

Kence looked at the two people quarreling before he gritted his teeth and nodded

The two didn't even realized that Kence and Narry already headed outside due to how fierce they are arguing

Kence and Narry sigh in relief when they finally managed to escape from the two 'monsters'

Seeing that they both sighed at the same time, the two chuckled at each other

Knock knock

Emily and Calter was woken up by the sounds of someone knocking in the kitchen door. The two were shocked to realize that Kence and Narry was missing

A servant opened the kitchen's room slowly and gave a letter to the two

When the two finished reading it, they both crumpled the paper angrily, especially Calter

The letter came from Narry. It states that the two 'scared' Kence from their arguing and Narry was 'kindhearted' enough to help Kence relax and took the youth away from them

Narry and Kence also encountered the City Lord on the way and asked the youth if he wants to continue training inside the Dungeon. Kence answered yes and the three of them are now inside the Dungeon

"Damn it! This is your fault!" Calter blamed Emily and immediately charged outside the kitchen to caught up with Kence and the others

"How dare you accuse your own mother!" Emily said angrily and also run

Fortunately, anyone can still enter the dungeon ten minutes after the first group of people entered and the two was able to barely enter the dungeon

"[Ice Magic: Ice Nail!]" Kence said and formed his spell in front of his magic wand. He was currently fighting the snakes that will fall down from the trees moments after people entered the dungeon

As Kence is much more skillful now, he managed to kill one snake just by using a single spell

"Kence!" Calter shouted and Kence turned his head to look at his master. Kence has an apologetic expression on his face and didn't know what to say

Calter didn't become angry though and patted Kence on the head to show that he is not angry at him. Calter doesn't want Kence to have another misunderstanding and showed his affection immediately

Seeing the relieve expression on Kence made Calter to know that there was no misunderstanding that was made

However, although he's not angry at Kence, doesn't mean the same can be said to Narry. Calter knew Kence like the back of his palm, the youth won't decide something like this on his own. Kence was probably tricked by Narry to enter the dungeon

Seeing the fierce look on his son's eyes, Narry tilted his head upwards and whistled as if nothing happened. Calter only looked at him fiercely but Emily is different!

The woman walked to Narry's side and pinched the man on his ear causing the latter to cry out in pain "Aw! Aw! Stop!"

"Hmph!" Emily let go but still looked at Narry with burning eyes "You can't sleep in our room tonight!"

Narry's eyes went wide open and he wanted to protest but Emily glared at him and he immediately shut his mouth

Otto watched this family with an expressionless face as he felt that they are 'weird'

"I just helped Kence you know. He really wants to be stronger but someone here is too protective on him" Narry said and everyone knows who he was talking about

All eyes went on Calter who gritted his teeth. He knew that he's overprotective but he can't help it. He don't want to lose Kence again. That is the last thing he wants to happen in this world

Kence sensed the tension in the air and the way these people looked at his master made him uncomfortable. Kence's body moved on his own and stood in front of Calter as if he's protecting the man

"B-Big b-brother is just worried about me...." Kence said meekly much to their surprise

At this time, seeing the little bunny acting tough to help him made Calter touched and he also wants to..... eat Kence

At the Hale Clan, Halli was inching closer to Kier wanting to kiss the latter

However, to his misfortune, the fierce youth kicked him on the stomach
