My Destined Werewolf Mate

It was almost around evening time. Completing her shift at the cafe, Eva was walking towards the subway to head back straight to home. The street lights were illuminating the entire streets as she walked past them, glancing up above at the dusky sky. Indeed, Mr. Beck didn't come back to the cafe and as she was instructed, she had to close the cafeteria heading out first. The thought of spending the entire next day with Zeus was putting a blissful feeling inside her mind. But somehow, her face looked a bit pale, with a sullen appearance outside. Something was indeed bothering her but she was trying hard to stay all composed.

[PHONE RINGING]

She took the cellphone out of her handbag and it was no one other than her best friend, Clara. Lit up with a broad smile, she picked it up and answered, "hello?"

"Eva, hey are you free right now?"

"Umm, yes, why?"

"Let's meet up for a drink. It's been a long time since we had been out for drinks! Are you up for it?"

Hearing the gentle pleading from her, Eva quickly glanced at her wristwatch and it was 7 pm. Wondering for a few seconds, she quickly nodded her head in response, "alright, let's meet up. I have gotta many things to share with you, Clara."

"Perfect. Then let's meet up within half an hour at our favorite restaurant. See you soon." She sounded much rejoiced with her answer and quickly enough disconnected the call. Eva halted her motion and turned around to head in the opposite direction since she resembled much relieved to grab a drink with her best friend.

Eva was the first one to reach their decided destination, i.e the Le Bella Restaurant. It's been a long time enough since they have been usually coming there to relieve their stress. Glancing at the wristwatch, she was waiting for Clara tapping her feet on the ground impatiently.

But she didn't have to wait much longer either. A sumptuous, red Porsche Turbo soon arrived at the venue and stopped right before her. Eva seemed a bit curious about its arrival and surprising her furthermore, Clara stepped out of it, quite in a glorious style, holding a broad smile.

"Clara?" Blinking her long eyelashes in awe, she blurted out in an impertinent tone while consistently glancing at both her and the car. The sight was quite unexpected since it was a dream car for both of them, worthy of million dollars!

"Did I surprise you, Eva?" She chuckled while mumbling in a polite note, walking close to her.

"Where did you get this car? Did you borrow it from someone?" She sounded much bewildered.

"Nope. This car is mine, now."

"What?" Swirling her eyeballs wider in shock, she stood still like a statue, gawking at Clara.

"I said, this car is mine now. Isn't it glorious, Eva?"

"H...Hey, Clara...this car is worth of million dollars...Where did you get so much capital?" Walking a step closer to her, she quickly grabbed her arm and glancing around themselves, lowered her voice, "don't tell me, you are indulged in illegal activities to make a living! Tell me the truth, Clara... You are scaring me now!"

"Pfftt!" Monitoring her panicked face, Clara couldn't resist her chuckle as it was kind of amusing for her to tease her. She swirled her eyeballs mystically and glanced back at her, wondering inside, "well, the kind of Master-Slave relation we have doesn't seem to be illegal. But I can't tell her all these... as a softie like her will definitely freak out hearing that a bold woman like me is striving as someone's slave now! Damn, why did I even got tangled in such a mess?"

"Clara? Hey? What aren't you answering?"

"Ahhh," she revived back her senses with her loud call and tapped her shoulder to assure her anxious self. "Don't fret too much, Eva. It's nothing that you are thinking! Umm, actually, you can say that I won the car in a lotto, quite unexpectedly!"

"Lotto?"

"Yes and now it's all mine! Doesn't the car model look sexy enough? Damn, I am already in love with it!" She had a widespread grin that emerged out on her lower jowls, with her deep brown eyeballs sparkling in bliss and she was talking about the car.

Watching her broad smile and blissful gaze, Eva felt a bit assured and smirked in pleasure. She softly poked her with her right elbow, trying to praise in her joy, "of course, it has sexy, elegant looks! Damn, I feel so jealous of your luck, Clara...But I am so darn happy that finally, you have achieved to score your dream car... Finally, good things are happening in our lives!" 

"So tonight, the drinks will be on mine! Let's go!" Clenching her arm in a tight grip, both of them head straight into the restaurant, gleaming in happiness.

"Cheers for your brand new car! Much more success to come soon for you my dear best friend!" Eva raised a toast congratulating Clara with a broad grin spread all over her face while Clara sat opposite her, watching her happy smile with gleaming eyes. 

"Eva, it soothes my heart to watch you always being so happy with my small achievements...Thank you." She reciprocated her toast, chuckling wider and gulping down the whole glass of whiskey in a spree.

"Well, since it's a rejoiceful moment, let me share something with you which I have been itching to tell you... Clara, I am finally dating!" She asserted in a thrilling voice, gawking at her intensely.

"What? When? How? When did this miracle happen? Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Shocked at her revelation, she shot several questions at her being all impatient.

"I wanted to tell you that day when you had called me earlier, but...quickly enough you disconnected the call... But, finally, I have found the one for me, Clara!" 

"Woah, way to go, girl!" She winked at her, grinning in bliss and pouring some whiskey in her glass before further response, "so who is the lucky man who dared to enchant your heart?"

Eva lowered her gaze down, blushing quite hard at her sharp inquiry. After a few seconds of silence she reciprocated softly, "he is quite a popular business tycoon and talk of the town... I hope you have heard his name, Zeus Romano...CEO of Romano Organization."

"POOOFFF!"

(Cough) Cough)

Spilling out all the whiskey from her mouth, Clara started coughing intensely, being spellbound at her answer!  Eva seemed quite startled to get such a reaction from her and gulped anxiously. After a few seconds of awkward troublesome reaction, trying to calm down a little, Clara rolled her eyeballs in shock and shrieked out loud at her, "what?"
