"It's been a long time, Zeus."

Ivory entered his cabinet with her gallant steps and a bright smirk. She was dressed up in a darkish purple silk gown, with her shimmering black long hairs tucked up properly as a ponytail. With two small diamond earrings, she appeared as divine beauty.​​

Zeus stood up from his seat and approached her with a small grin. "Indeed, it's been already 15 years now in human record. But, for our werewolf existence, this time-span was really small." He murmured.

Ivory slowly walked closer to him and stared intensively for a while. "But still, I really missed you, Zeus. And you have become more handsome now. Human maidens will be sure head over heels for you." With a sly sneer, she murmured.

Zeus raised his left eyebrow and smirked. "Don't flatter me. You yourself have molded into a beautiful maiden too... Despite that, I am well aware of your marvelous strength as an alpha she-werewolf of our pack."

She tilted her face a little left towards the outside and scraped her neck with shyness. "Ahh, don't compliment me for my strength, Zeus. We are almost the same age but you are the super strongest leader of our whole pack. But as we both are alphas, so we have always get along with each other." She continued.

Zeus gently took a few steps back and strolled near the fenestration. He slowly put his hands inside the suit pockets and gasped heavily. "You have been the only friend I had since childhood in my pack, who tried to understand me, even if it's a little. Thanks for being a loyal friend to me." His voice sounded glum.

Ivory stepped beside him and continued glancing at him silently. "Zeus, I am not that modest you know... I chose to stay by your side because I have always liked you, from every aspect. Even though I had to move to the UK to save my identity, but I chose to come back to meet you again. I know I may sound a bit prejudiced, but it's all true." She responded.

"Well, I have been also aware of your feelings towards me but--

"But you never felt anything towards me. I have heard it countless times already, you don't need to repeat it again." She pouted her face while intervening in his statement bluntly.

Zeus suddenly sneered with her expression and glanced at her nonchalantly. "But, you indeed had committed a horrible mistake that could have revealed the entire existence that we have been trying so hard to hide in all these years... Somehow, I managed to gain control of the situation, and your departure too helped in the process... I honestly never thought that you will be actually back." He proclaimed.

Ivory instantly made a sorry face and folded her arms. "I am sorry again... I have gained enough control over my anger outburst in these years of isolation... I am not gonna mess up anything ever again. You can count on me till I am alive." She chuckled.

Zeus loosened his stiff gesture and nodded his head a little. Suddenly, Ivory rolled her eyes in surprise with a sudden sight!

"Is that blood on your shoes? Did you had a fight?" She inquired.

Zeus breathed out in a huff and raised his chin up to stare at the sky before answering, "no, I killed...someone from my pack..."

Ivory froze in shock and flinched with his reply. "What!?" She shrieked.

He turned his face towards her and darkened his eyes further. "He tried to attack an innocent human and I can't abide other horrific dangers invading our existence." He sounded intense.

"But what about uncle Antonio? How you are gonna answer him? Killing werewolves for the sake of human is absolutely taboo for us... You know it well, Zeus. Still, why did you do it?" She impatiently grabbed his arms while inquiring.

Zeus tried to ignore the queries but her eagerness refrained him from doing so. "I just...don't know..." He murmured.

She immediately cupped his face in her arms and stared at him intensively. "Don't lie, please. Tell me, what's wrong? I have told you several times don't endure your sufferings all alone." She was inquiring desperately.

Zeus slowly unleashed his face away from her grip and shifted his eyes towards the window. With a dense voice, he answered, "I just couldn't stand it when he tried to attack her..."

"Her? Is that human a lady?" She blurted out in wonder as soon as he finished his statement. "You did all this for a woman?" Her voice sounded blunt.

He clenched his fist tightly as if he was trying hard to hold back his emotions. "No, I did all this to save our existence from evil divulgence. If something had happened to that woman, I don't know what further dangers had been awaited for us..." He replied.

"Zeus, no matter how much you wanna fool others with your words but I won't fall for this trick. It's the first time you committed such an act for a human lady!" She moved a bit closer to him while speaking in a brusque tone. "Who is she? Why are you involved with a human?" She interrogated.

He silently frowned his face and shook his head in opposition. "She is really strange... There are so many things shrouded in dark clouds of mystery around her, which piques up my interest..." He tried to defend himself in front of her.

Ivory stared at him with darkened eyes as he was speaking. "It's the first time, I am watching you are actually taking interest in a woman. But out of all, on a human?" She sounded offended.

He firmly raised his chin up and ogled at her with mystic eyes. "I didn't think that I would be actually tangled along with her. But, this time, I will be trying hard to cut off all the ties... But I can't do that now as, before that, I need your help, Ivory. You gotta help me with something about that strange lady." He seemed quite fretted while asking her.

"Do you want me to kill that woman? I can help you with that!" She rolled her eyes wider while responding with a sly smirk.
