My Destined Werewolf Mate

Gripping onto her arm tight, carefully keeping a sharp observation around their surroundings, both Czar and Eva sneaked straight to the giant yard at the back of the Romano mansion in a running spree. It was quite difficult for her to cope up with his fleeing speed wearing such a fancy maid costume...but holding onto her strong will, she decided to escape along with him.

He was helping her in escaping from such an atrocious environment, running at his lowest possible speed compared to the power of a strong werewolf. After an anticipated galloping of several minutes, both of them reached the area of the yard near the giant guard wall bearing a massive hole from where she had crawled up inside earlier. 

Reaching their destination, he unleashed her hand from his grasp and both of them started to pant vigorously hiding behind a massive wall separating the yard to dodge the loyal guards. Looking around themselves again, he swirled his eyes wider and took a glimpse at Eva. She had a menacing terrified expression on her face while massaging the area of her wrist where he was grabbing onto. He understood it well, compared to her vulnerability, it must be hard for her to withstand his inhuman strength.

"Is your hand okay?" In a gentle voice, he inquired her looking sharply at her arm.

"Umm. Yes... But that's fine...I have been already hurt too much before... This pain is negligible... to its comparison." Holding a sad small smirk on her rosy lips, she conveyed her words.

Unknowingly, he continued staring at her for a few moments and took a heavy sigh out leaning his back against the wall. Standing right next to her, both of them chose to be reserved holding an awkward calmness between them. 

"You...You must stay as far as possible from Zeus. I hope, you have already understood now that involving yourself with us will bring risks to your own life. And, as far I have already notified you, I won't help you even if you are about to die tomorrow. It's just a one-time help for today." He chose to break the silence and muttered in a low voice.

She stood all still, looking down at the ground with a pair of saddened eyes, fidgeting on her own. She didn't utter a single word, residing all silent and numb.

"And... I will issue your termination letter from our Romano Organization. You have to start a new life with a new job... Don't worry, the compensation fee for the sudden termination from us would be delivered right to your address. So... I am telling you it prior so that you would get time to find a new workplace. I hope you would understand...it's all...for your own sake." He continued his proclamation, glancing at her quietly.

She still didn't utter a single objection and lowering her grimace down, she took a deep breath in. Her eyes seemed too gloomy and Czar was indeed monitoring her actions vividly.

"What are you thinking so hard?" Her silence was piquing up his curiosity quite bad as he probed the direct question at her.

She raised her chin up and looked straight up at the blank limitless sky, evoking a heavy sigh out. "It's just... I was wondering...why my life is so harsh to me? Who... Who wrote... such a cursed fate for me?" Her voice grew heavier and morose as if she was trying hard to hold back inside her severe urge of sobbing out aloud.

For a moment, Czar suddenly became totally speechless and continued looking at her with his dark, dubious eyes fixedly. Her saddened appearance somehow managed to intrude a line of thread straight in his heart which was already torn apart before with pain.

"Do you... really love Zeus?" Unknowingly he blurted out a sudden blunt question.

She smiled, blinking her tear-filled deep brown eyes poignantly. "He is the one... who stood beside me when I had intended to brutally abandon myself too. He protected me... He cared for me... But he chose to hide it away from me... The care and love which I never expected to retrieve back in my life came to me as the gift of the divinity in the form of Zeus...

But look at me... I am such a worthless powerless person who can't even protect the person I love... Just for the sake of his well-being, I... I need to stay away from me...

Can you imagine how painful it is for me to bear everything inside? It's... It's killing me from inside..." Tears of anguish rolled down her cheeks as she reverberated her heartfelt honest words.

"You really do love him as... your tears explained everything." In a spooky tone, he straightened his back against the wall, mumbling in a deep voice. "But...our worlds are existing in the parallel universe... And above all, Zeus will be engaged to Ivory soon. Their marriage has been already decided way before by the family. So... You eventually have to give up on him. Some love stories aren't meant to last for eternity..."

"You are...brutally very honest..." Wiping out her eyes with her trembling fragile hands, she smiled at him in response. "The way she was stirred up for him... I had eventually realized that she loves him madly enough... But I didn't expect her to be his betrothal partner."

"Ivory loves him way too much...but it's sad... She had to witness her beloved one risking his everything for the sake of an ordinary human maiden. I really can't understand the intentions of that fool--"

"You would never be able to understand him unless you value someone more than your own life...That's called the power of love. Zeus risked his life to protect me and I risked mine just to come for him here... 

I know...Zeus loves me way too much... I am blessed enough... that despite being an ordinary human, almost inferior compared to every aspect with that lady...I was still able to enter his heart...

You would be able to understand what and why he did it for me when you will fall for someone truly...someday..." She spoke in a soft, grieved tone looking right up at the sky with a teary gaze. 

He was numb, gawking at her frowning his eyebrows. His heart was pounding hard unknowingly as he wondered on his own, "Never... I won't do such a ridiculous act ever... 

I will never ever fall for anyone from my heart. Emotions like love are pointless in my life."

Little did he know, destiny had already begun the game of fate...
