My Destined Werewolf Mate

Hearing her name out in his heartwrenching warm voice, Eva's heart throbbed hard with a tingling ache arising inside her chest. Those intense dark sullen eyes were welled up with tears that rolled down her cheeks as she continued staring at him holding her breath. It was a surreal sight for her, too hard to be true!

After a moment of absolute silence, she slowly started marching forward towards him where he stood still stretching out his arms wider, with a teary sad smile on his pale bruised face. In the radiant moonlight, Zeus looked like an elegant prince of the night, impatiently calling out for his princess with that anticipated gaze. 

"Ze-Zeus? Is...Is it really you?" Mumbling in an unclear low voice, she continued moving ahead with that staggering footsteps as if she was still in disbelief. Soon enough, she reached closer to him and tried to raise her trembling right arm to touch his face tenderly to make sure if it's all true. "Is it really you? Is it? I am... not hallucinating right--"

Before she could complete her words, a stronger, yet desperately fond hug immediately pulled her inside his warm embrace in the blink of a second! Zeus was trying his best to stay as strong as he could, but once he tugged her inside his broad chest, he couldn't control himself anymore. Wrapping his grasp around her waist as tighter as he could, he was trembling, breathing heavily with warm teardrops dripping down on her shoulder which she could sense. He was sobbing too hard like a small child, leaning his head within her shoulder groove.

Tugging within his embrace, Eva realized prominently that it wasn't a dream after all! Neither she was drunken nor hallucinating! Gripping his shoulder with her shivering hands, she whispered in her teary unclear voice, "Zeus, it's really you? You...You really came here? But...wh-why? How did you come here?"

"I...I missed you so much...I wanted to see you so badly..." Choking his tears inside, he responded quickly, clenching his grip around her further pulling her closer.

"You...You really came..." All of a sudden, whimpering out aloud, Eva burst out in tears gripping his jacket tightly in her fragile slender hands.

Burrowing herself inside his warmest embrace, she mumbled while crying bitterly, "You shouldn't be here at this hour! You shouldn't have come here, you fool! Have you gone crazy? Why are you here? You should have rested on your bed...Hic...You should haven't come here! Why do you always scare me so much? Why do you always make me feel so helpless? Why are you so stubborn? Stupid...You fool...Hic...Why do you always keep me over your own life, damnit! Why?" Her teary voice choked hard while she was throwing several weak punches on his back to reprimand her despair that was churning down her insides. 

Zeus stood silent for a while, snuggling her small body, and chuckled a bit watching her losing her composure all of a sudden like a tiny angry kitten. Softly caressing her head to calm down, he released his tight grip around his waist and pulled her a few inches away from him. She was still grieving out aloud, clenching her fist with tears and snot messing up her flushed face.

"Can you please calm down a little--"

"How can I calm myself?" Interrupting him instantly, she threw her small persistent punches again on his forearm, expressing her helpless inner turmoil. "Why do you keep messing with me? Why did you jump in front of me? Why didn't you think once about me before sacrificing yourself? I want to smack your stupid head--"

"Owww! It hurts." Tenderly, he tried to resist her fist attack by gripping her arm, making a pouty sly expression, "I am still an injured person, Eva...I tried so hard to come back to you and instead, you are just hitting and scolding this poor guy... Have some mercy on me, sweetheart..." 

With his gentle whining, she immediately fretted for a few seconds and started caressing his arm and shoulders, swirling her pupils wider in panic. "Oh my gosh... did it hurt? I...I am sorry... I thought maybe these weak punches won't affect... I am sorry...hic... I just don't know how to react to what's happening with me...hic... It feels like I am living a dream...I am so grateful to...God...But, I am too scared to wake up... I am sorry... Hic..." She started sobbing again softly stroking him all over.

Gawking at her distressed eloquence in that sparkling moonlight, calmly Zeus cupped half of her face within his broad palm and leaned his head closer to her trembling anxious face. In a fraction of a second, he placed a soft endearing peck on her plump red lips which startled her pretty much with his sudden action!

"Is my kiss enough assuring to stop you from crying so hard? Or... should I kiss you once more?" Holding a witty smirk on his rosy lips, he whispered closer to her ears in an enthralling pitch.

With such an unexpected tender kiss, Eva seemed to stop crying, and almost immediately, her face turned into a red flustered one as it was their very special kiss which Zeus initiated himself first! Lowering her gaze down from him, she tried hard to hide her embarrassed gesture.

He continued staring at her with his love-filled glance and smiled to watch her turning all red shy ball. Taking a deep breath inside, he further continued, "I...I have a reason to come here today, Eva." 

"Reason?"

"Yes. I wanted to confess the truth." His deep voice seemed much bolder this time as he gripped her soft knuckle quite firmly. "And the truth is, that I am sick of all these pretentious acts that I had to put on until now... Hereby, I surrender my heart and soul to you, Eva. I can't hold back my feelings for you anymore and... I...I really love you so much... I am not ashamed anymore to admit my love before the world. I am already prepared to face all the consequences of the decision my heart has made." Gasping quite hard, he declared his bold confession gawking intensely at her, holding a serious expression.

The sudden confession from him came out of the blue which she didn't have expected to receive, standing under such a radiant moonlight horizon holding each other in a warm embrace. All startled and with a wave of countless emotions stirring her heart, she tried to refrain herself from breaking down in tears of joy.

But all of a sudden, her eyes averted to an unusual sight! The bandage that was wrapped around his abdomen was stained wet with blood droplets! It seemed as if he had ripped open his wound again which caused her a serious perplexion.

"Ze-Zeus... You are bleeding again! The bandage is stained with blood!" 

With her panicked response, he took a peek at that injured area, and indeed it was smudged in blood. Making a frown eloquence, he looked much displeased at it.

"You...You shouldn't be standing here too long in such a state! Damnit! You should be resting now! You need to seated somewhere else...but... where can I take you? I...I can't take you inside my home because my friend is sleeping in there and she would wake up the whole neighborhood if she discovers us at this time! But then.. where can I take you?" She was mumbling in a panicked mode, impatiently looking around themselves.

Frowning his eyebrows, Zeus took a glance at the topmost large terrace of her residence and smiled a bit mystically. Immediately, he pulled her waist within his arms, tugging her all of a sudden before whispering softly, "then let me take you to the moon, my beloved."
