3. Chapter Three: Seeing the Tomb Owner

He Nai and Wangchuan who carried Xia Mingyu had walked through several burial chambers together untill they met their master, a man in casual clothes, fighting with several zombies. He Nai immediately joined the battle, with her beautiful but savage bone whip.

Wangchuan placed Xia Mingyu against the wall and joined the battle, too. They fought hard with the zombies, oblivious of Xia Mingyu beside the wall who was dragged into the secret door by a black haired claw.

When Xia Mingyu woke up again, the stone walls above and around him were like the sky full of blue stars, bright. He still felt a little dizzy. He knew he had been saved, but how did he get to this place?

Xia Mingyu rose reluctantly to his feet. In the huge tomb, except for the starlight, there was only a black circular stone platform about 2 meters in diameter in the middle, isolated in a circular sink, and the water in the sink was slightly red. Everything was very strange.

Xia Mingyu looked over and saw that the circular stone platform was divided into two by a “S” type inner groove, round dents the size of a palm on both sides. It seemed that something was needed to be put into the dents to open the platform. He wondered if it would be the way out.

Xia Mingyu circled the stone platform for a few rounds, and didn’t see anything else like a ball, so he went to check other places. Those starry walls were made up of night pearls in different sizes, dazzling Xia Mingyu. So many night pearls, he had to find out the two most suitable, which was really difficult for him…

Then, just as Xia Mingyu was about to pick up the pearl on the wall, the ground under his feet suddenly shook, and the blue snake rose from one side, when a black cat with blue and green pups and two tails appeared on the other.

Xia Mingyu quickly retreated to the stone platform and saw that the blue snake was very afraid of the stone platform. This was a good safety zone, but he didn’t know how safe it was.

Blue snakes and black cats biting each other, the tomb room is full of cats’ cry and snake’s hissing. Xia Mingyu covered his ears, cowering on the stone platform. Blue snake’s tail swept to the wall, which beat down a lot of the night pearls above. A few pearls rolled to the edge of the sink. Xia Mingyu saw the two animals was still fighting, no time to pay attention to him. He quietly went down the stone platform to pick up the night pearls.

Put the night pearls into the dents, but neither of them was suitbale. Xia Mingyu was disheartened, but he had to admit, it cannot be so easy for him to find exactly right size.

The Black Cat and the blue snake were still tearing each other. The blue snake swung its tail, and the Black Cat was hit to the wall, then cried in pain. The blue snake quickly rush to the black cat, opening the giant mouth and about to eat the cat alive. Xia Mingyu hurriedly threw the pearl in his hand, just hit the blue snake’s body.

The blue snake turned his head and stared at Xia Mingyu with a gloomy gaze, making Xia Mingyu’s heart tremble, but for a while, the Black Cat had slowly come over and jumped up to hit the blue snake in its face. One of snake’s eyes get hurt. The snake rolled on the ground with pain. The cat ruthlessly ripped and scratched the snake’s face, pulling out many hard scales.

“Bite its seven inches!”（ Seven Chinese inches from the snake’s head is the place of snake’s heart ) Xia Mingyu shouted and threw another night pearl over to hit the blue snake. But the cat ignored him, he realized that the cat was just a cat. How could it understand what seven inches was? However, the blue snake was crushed to death by the black cat, which made Xia Mingyu not as afraid as he felt when first seeing the snake. He ran down from the stone platform, hugged the rolling snake and slammed its seven inches with  the night pearl.

The blue snake opened his mouth to bite him. Xia Mingyu let go and rolled on the ground. The blue snake missed him but threw the Black Cat down at once.  However, the blue snake didn’t dare attack the Black Cat and Xia Mingyu immediately, just looking at the person and cat with a venomous look, turned around and moved into the hole that it had come out of before.

Xia Mingyu sighed with relief, and just wanted to thank the Black Cat. He saw the cat staring at him, half squinting, as if smiling, smiling coldly. Xia Mingyu shuddered. Damn it! The snake would eat people, and the cat in front of him may also see him as its dinner .

The night pearl, which had hit the blue snake was still in his hand, and had not been thrown. Xia Mingyu looked at the Black Cat walking around him and decided that if the cat punced him, he would use the night pearl to kill it.

“Meow.” The Black Cat suddenly cried, sat down and licked its claws. Xia Mingyu found there was blood on its claws. He didn’t know if it was the blue snake’s or its own. Xia Mingyu had some sympathy for it, and not so afraid. He thought that it was just a Black Cat and it would eat him? No kidding! It was just a cat!

When he completely relaxed and felt a pain in his left shoulder, which reminded him that he had been bitten by a blue snake before. But fortunately the blue snake didn’t look poisonous. Otherwise he would had died long ago, and it was really lucky to have live till now.

“Meow.” The Black Cat suddenly approached.  Xia Mingyu looked at it nervously, but it just ran to his thigh, put its front paw on his chest, turned up and licked the place where he was injured. The half of the shirt that was used to wrap up by He Nai had been soaked in blood. The Black Cat licked it, and wanted more.

It seemed that the cat was not dangerous… Xia Mingyu reached out and touched the black cat. The cat’s hair was very soft. He didn’t know why there was a cat in the tomb, but then he thought about zombies, and he deemed that there was nothing strange about the cat.

Xia Mingyu picked up the Black Cat and confronted him, “Do you know how to get out? I want to get out of here.”

“Meow.” The Black Cat meowed, struggling, and Xia Mingyu let go of it, watched it stare at the pearls on the wall. He felt curious. Then the black cat jump up to the wall. Surprisingly, Xia Mingyu watched it walking on the wall like on the flat ground.

The Black Cat climbed to the top and pulled it up at the position facing the stone platform below, and Xia Mingyu saw many night pearls falling, “dada” and falling to the ground. Xia Mingyu sighed and found that the quality of the night pearls was really good.

Picked up the night pearls on the ground and tried them one by one. Quickly, he found the two most suitable ones. But it was strange that even if the two pearls were placed in the dents, there seemed to be no change…

“Uh, isn’t it?” Xia Mingyu scratched the hair, very puzzled, the black cat jumped down to the ground, suddenly reaching out to him. Xia Mingyu subconsciously used his hand to block, and the palm of the hand was cut by the cat’s claws. The blood fell down, sliding along the “S” groove in the center of the stone platform. With a sound of clicking, the stone platform began to turn up. Xia Mingyu retreated, falling into the red water.

The stone platform rose about half a meter high, then it stopped. The middle groove suddenly opened and split the sides, then stopped moving. Xia Mingyu’s clothes were not only stained with blood, but also soaked. He stood up and saw the black cat lying on one side licking its claws. He clenched his fist. Please, can’t you say something before attacking? Xia Mingyu was scared to death while the cat was pouncing to him.

When Xia Mingyu approached the stone platform and looked at it again, he did not expect that it was not an imagined way out, but a man lying in crystal.

The man was dressed in a silver-white costume and robes, long black hair was tied up with a belt, and the white flawless skin made the woman envious, not to mention the beautiful face, handsome in seven and evil in three. His long eyelashes slightly curled. The perfect lips made people want to kiss. Is this a human? Immortal? Or a monster?
