Easton's Room

Easton woke up under the warm blankets of his bed. He snuggled deeper into the comfort, thinking it was Gabrielle who covered him up after his shower…

Something clicked in his mind.

The boy's body tensed. He slowly got up and scanned his room. A familiar sight throughout his eighteen years of life. Just noticing that the room was sickeningly filled with the scent.

The same scent as the card, the hair, the envelope. It was so strong, Easton could feel himself reacting strongly.

Arousal.

Such strong ŀust coursed through every fiber of Easton's being. The seductive aroma was too much and yet, not enough. Easton found himself wanting more and at the same time, wanting to get out of the room. Airing it, to rid of the scent completely.

Such feelings scared the young boy. Never in his life had he experienced something like this. Not even his heat was this strong.

Especially the noticeable tingling in a certain spot.

He staggeringly reached over to the nightstand, doing his best to ignore the itch. There was a small tin-with little tablets that clinked whenever the box moved-placed conveniently next to the bed.

In a hurry, he dry-mouthed swallowed them, grimacing at the bitter taste and pain. It took a while for the heat medication to take affect. Soon, his body was free. His fifth limb was no longer acting up and the tingling sensation went away.

What the hell happened to him? The boy thought that the mysteriously placed envelope on his bed would give him answers. After all ever since that and the box came into his possession, he had been experiencing strange phenomenons.

Easton hurriedly got out of bed, failing to notice that his oddly shaped birthmark was bleeding. Failing to notice a dark hickey on his neck. Failing to notice a second lighter hickey on his inner left thɨġh.

He scrambled into clean clothes before searching for the letter and box. His search didn't last long as they were placed on the floor, neatly next to his slippers by the bed. Easton climbed out of bed from the other side, that's why he didn't notice it.

Easton gently picked up the letter and box. Treating the items in hand akin to a bomb about to set off. He decided to set the box aside as he already knows the contents. Using one of the many knives under his bed (thanks to Gabrielle's presents) he neatly sliced the top of the envelope.

The boy braced himself for another wave of the scent, but there was none. A mixture of relief and disappointment came over him, but he didn't dwell on it.

There was only a single card inside. It wasn't even of of those open-and-close cards. Just a five and a half inch by three inch card. One side was completely blank except for a black insignia in the middle, of which Easton didn't recognize and therefore didn't pay much attention to it.

The other side was filled with neat handwriting. Easton ran his fingers over the words, feeling the bumps and ridges where the pen pierced into the flesh of the paper. Then he read the words aloud.

"Easton, you may not believe what is written on here, but I swear on my life everything is true."

A chill flashed through his body. A single thought was coursing through his mind like a raging current.
