Pokémon: Reborn As Lucas

As soon as Lucas arrived and was about to knock on the door it was suddenly opened and out came Barry.

"Lucas you are finally here! What took you so long?" said Berry

" On my way here I got alittle bit wet by some Pokémon that were playing around and they did not want to let me go until they were sure that I was not angry at them" although it was the other way around Lucas did not dare to admit that he was the one that caused his delayed arrival because he knew that if he did he would be teased by Barry.

"Oh. So this is the reason why you are so drenched. I thought you fell into some pond or something" Barry started to laugh as Lucas narrated his encounter with some slight modifications.

Instead of going into the house Barry closed the door behind him and walked ahead.

Lucas did not know if he should follow or what Barry wanted to do so he waited.

Barry saw this and called out to him:

" What are you doing? Don`t you want to get your first Pokémon? Hurry up!"

"Ah we are already going to Sandgem Town? I thought you still have stuff to preper"(Lucas)

"Of course I would still have to do something but now that you are late I have already finished everything that I had left to do"(Barry)

"I am sorry but I have already told.."(Lucas)

"YES YES I got you. Now hurry up I can`t wait!"(Barry)

"`K . I am coming"(Lucas)

As they started walking Lucas suddenly remembered that in the game you could not go there without a Pokémon because of a possible encounter with a wild Pokémon in the grass. He was still not yet used to the world he now lived in and despite already seeing many differences between the game and his reality he was getting anxious.

"Are we able to go to Sandgem Town without a Pokémon? I have heard that we could encounter a wild Pokémon."(Lucas)

"Of course we can. We have already been there before have you already forgotten? And who have you heard this from? We just have to walk down this road for about 20 more minutes and we will arrive there" said Barry and gave him a weird look.

"I heard it while walking outside but could have misherad, my bad sorry" (Lucas)

"Nevermind that, lets hurry up a bit"(Barry)

The nearer they came to the Lab where they were expected the faster they went. When the Lab was in sight Barry suddenly said: " Lets make a short competition. The one who arrives first gets to choose his Pokémon first"

Before Lucas could agree or even realize what was going on Barry already leaped off and was many meters ahead.

The original Lucas always liked these kinds of competitions which influences the current Lucas to do the same. His fighting spirit was ignited and he also leaped off.

Soon Lucas caught up and both were neck to neck until only about 100meters were left towards their destination. Both sprinted to their maximum power and arrived at the same time.

The commotion they caused was noticed by many people in the surroundings who stopped their tasks for a short time to watch the youths battle it out. Some even started cheering for them although it was not really noticed by the two.

Not only bystanders from the surrounding houses watched them, the door of the Lab was also opened. Out of the door came the young female assistant of Prof. Rowan called Dawn.

She stood there with her hands on her h.i.p.s waiting for the newly arrived youths to calm their breaths to give them a good scolding.

Lucas and Barry were already expecting their scolding when they suddenly saw the change in her attitude.

When they saw their Hero who managed to calm her down both of them called out:

"Professor!" "Professor!"
