Rebellious Path

The teachers looked at both of us as if we were monsters. Well, should I say everybody? Just because everybody is looking at me and Naomi would our shock, all of he except Lilia and the three girls. Don't include my sisters since they didn't know about my true powers at all.

"Well, that was unexpected", Lilia said but it wasn't directed to me, no, it was directed to Naomi, who was completely silent. Naomi didn't even mind as she walked back to her place and crossed her arms and stared at me. I just thought, 'Is she observing me? It's as if she's extracting information with her stares and it's uncomfortable.'

Lilia then looked at both of us and said, " You two can wait for the test to finish, you've already proven your Zenith Grade and that's enough", I just shrugged as I heard that, well, that does make sense, both of us are stronger than a lot of teachers here.

I raised my hands up and walked away, so did Naomi. The freshmen we're still in a daze and Lilia clicked her finger as she shouted, "Stop being in a daze and continue! Now! Or you'll be expelled!"

The students woke up from their daze and couldn't help but scramble at their feet as they tried to aim. They were scared to be expelled from this school, some think of this as an opportunity to be a hero, some think of it as the fast way to have money and some just do this for fun.

As I walked back to the far side, I glanced at Naomi who closed her eyes while walking. I never really took the initiative of doing something first, well, maybe I did but still. I then spoke to her, but this time, it was as if I know the whole truth, "You were ordered to observe me am I right?"

Hearing that, Naomi stared at my eyes with a hint of admiration but she still had the somewhat... Cute emotionless face? I don't know, but I like seeing her face, it's just too cute despite her lifeless eyes and the cold stare.

I then thought to myself as she started at my own eyes, "Wow, did I really just guess that?", I couldn't believe it but her eyes said it all. But she then spoke, "Nice try", her voice was also extremely cute. I guess she is one of the 'kuudere', which is one of the cutest creatures on earth, not even kidding.

Despite having an emotionless face, and almost a monotone voice, they are extremely cute. I could only make a puff and a 'pfft' sound as I found it quite funny. Naomi tilted her head seemingly confused and as I saw it, I could only say in my mind, 'How can something be this cute!?'

I seemingly coughed in accordance. Her previous uncomfortable gaze seemingly turned extremely comforting, and I can say, I like her staring at me. Her confused state is cute, almost everything is cute, and I didn't even know why.

"I guess I made the right choice sending her there, she doesn't have even a little bit of emotions, no human interactions. She only knows how to kill. I wanted her to be normal, but that can't happen due to my position. Now that I sent her there, I wish she can at least become somewhat normal", the hooded individual said in a voice that can never be discerned if said individual is a male or a female.

"I agree", suddenly a voice sounded from the far back of the room, and this time, instead of being hidden, the gender of the voice was clear! It was a woman. She then said, " Your daughter has never experienced a normal life."

"Yeah, you're right", the hooded figure said as it looked around and saw the woman. The woman then said, " Hey, why do you keep hiding your true gender? it's weird you know."

The figure just laughs as it said, "It's better if I keep all of my identity as a secret", the woman then just sighed as she said, " Yea! Yea! Demon—", but before she could finish her sentence the nodded figure cut her off by placing a finger on her mouth with a slight, "shh."

Back at the school, well, me and Naomi only stood at the far back waiting for the others to finish. We were a good two meters away from each other, well, we both crossed our arms as well. It was as if Naomi was copying all my movements. But she was cute to look at, not gonna lie.

The girl that I thought was extremely dangerous was actually a girl who was extremely childish while having an emotionless face. I couldn't help but smile in my mind due to the cuteness.

I just grinned as I looked at her and looked back at the students who were seemingly showing the control of their powers, their strongest attacks, and so on and so forth. Some were average and some were not, but as expected, Anna, Aerin, and Lala were at the top.

Though I never expected Hina, Aoi, and even Ruri, to be competing for the top rank as well! It seems they were hiding their power eh? Well, I don't need to hide my power, but all I can say, that they're amazing!

Just then, a huge explosion sounded, throughout, I then looked at where it came from and it came from a girl, flames surrounded her neck and a big grin was plastered unto her face as she said, "Sorry! I lost control."

I couldn't help but give admiration as I thought, 'Another strong one appeared', just at that time, Lilia then shouted, "Now that the tests are over with, it's time for the real test of strength. The stronger you are, the higher your grade. You will be sent to a teacher based on your grades so do well! Now it's time for the mock battles!"

I couldn't help but placemat hand on my chin as I nodded. I only thought, 'Nice', as I looked beside me seeing Naomi copying my movements and I couldn't help but chuckle. Again, making a cute expression of confusion, she tilted her head.

Hands down, extremely cute, I could watch her whole day, not gonna lie. Just then, Lilia flicked her fingers once again and something from below radiated extreme mana which even caused me to widen my eyes as I furrowed my brows while we, again, disappeared from our spot reappearing in another place.

Suddenly, we were all paired to a single person, that we didn't know. I then thought, 'The selections are random? That basically means I might be able to fight the girls. Well, I just wish the give it all they've got.'

I also felt a huge amount of mana that was our white and it seemed pristine. I couldn't help but wonder what that was. It seems that it was a spell so it must've triggered automatically as we arrived here.

Everyone looked confused just like me but longer. Lilia then shouted loudly while the other teachers we're behind her, "The selections of these mock battles are random! But something you have to do is defeat your opponent before you!"

"If you lose, you'll be paired with another person that lost and you must fight each other! Remember! Give it all you've got! Your injuries will be automatically healed so no need to worry!"

'So that's why there was a huge amount of mana welling below, it was light magic eh? Light gives life, I guess so. Well then, let's enjoy the fight', I looked at the enemy before me and saw a frail-looking man in front, who trembled as he readied his stance. You know, I pity him.

"Let the mock battles... Begin!!"
