Rebellious Path

'Trial of... time?', I thought completely confused about what was happening. Time has stopped, and now this? I pulled out the weapon to my hand in cautiousness, and readied my stance, but, what happened next was unexpected.

The rope dart in my hand suddenly disappeared reappearing right before me and... it had started attacking me. What was this!? I couldn't help but feels shocked as I turned my body around.

But then, it seemed as if the blade was too fast as it pierced through my whole body. Pain encompassed me as it stabbed me through the left ipsilateral part of my body. Good thing I managed to move even a little, or I would've been...

The magic circle suddenly glowed as the pain started zapping my consciousness away, but I had to resist, or else I'll die, right? F.u.c.k it, I grabbed the chain connected to the blade and started to pull it out, but it seems that I was not even strong enough.

"Shit!", I cursed as the chains started to wrap all around my body, and by that, I felt extremely lightheaded and somewhat intoxicated since I couldn't control even a finger of mine.

The triangular prism-shaped blade suddenly shifted into a form completely similar to a cross, but only fancier? Heat then suddenly integrated unto the chains as it girded upon my body, and the cross-shaped blade suddenly struck my c.h.e.s.t.

The heat that the blade emitted was hotter than anything I've ever felt before. It was burning me, creating a burn mark that looked extremely similar to a cross at my c.h.e.s.t with intricate designs and an hourglass at the center.

Just then, I felt powerless, the strength of my body was completely stripped away from me. Then, the voice once again spoke, "Chosen One, you're trial shall begin. The mark of time and the mark of the omniverse has been completely placed on you."

"There is not only one world but indeed, it's many. Not just this world exists. The omniverse is wide and has spread far beyond what you can imagine, and time, encompassed it all."

"You are thy champion, of a great and holy being, and you shall rise up higher than you can even imagine. Your time of rising has come!"

"You have been blessed rather greatly, for that reason, I wish that you succeed in the first trial", I just closed my eyes and forced myself to speak, "What... trial are you saying?"

The voice just immediately answered, "You shall be sent to another world, defeat the enemy of the world, and you shall succeed. Time has stopped in this world, so you don't have to worry, take as much time as you like."

I just stayed still and just forced my weak body to move in a similar way of agreeing. Then the voice said once again, "You shall be given a blessing, to know your abilities, your strength, and upgrade yourself to become the strongest and to know how strong your opponents really are. The time of your trial shall begin!"

Then suddenly, the hourglass magic circle glowed brightly as it started to illuminate me in a very bright light that I was no longer discernable. The light blinded my eyes and caused me to tremble as the pain similarly subsided.

I felt as if I was in space, stuck for all eternity. My body floating around with no care and my consciousness dangling in a single thread of hope. But just then, I felt as if I was being s.u.c.k.e.d into a vortex, my body getting ripped away.

At that moment, my consciousness faded away in the blossom of the void.

But that peacefulness soon ended as I heard a loud growl, no... it seemed, it was the clashing of blades. The sounds came closer and closer until I could finally hear groans of pain, and shouts. There seemed to be a battle, but the battle didn't seem to come from a person battling a person.

I abruptly opened my eyes only to see four girls, battling a monster! I was confused for a moment. Was everything I heard about going to another world real? They did not wear clothes similar to the modern world, but they wore something similar to medieval-styled clothes.

I then looked at the monster they were fighting. It seemed as if it was a bull that had a human body. But then the snout was completely gone. Then, it growled as it raised the great axe it was holding whilst one of the girls shouted, "Shit! Why is there a High Undead Minotaur here!?"

I... can understand their language. It didn't seem to be Japanese, but I'm sure I understand it clearly, for the fact. Then the Minotaur emitted a dangerous aura, which I immediately felt. The girls were surely in danger.

I was currently sitting down having the shade of a tree. As I felt danger, I immediately stood up and shouted, ''Dodge it now!", the girls heard my voice, but then it was too late. The girls then said, "W...why c-can't we move!"

It seemed that the minotaur used some kind of paralyzation to the four, so I immediately teleported in front of the minotaur to block the attack. Just then, in the corner of my eye, I saw something. It seemed as if there were texts in front of me symbolizing a game.

As I looked at the minotaur, I saw something peculiar above his head. It was some kind of... level? Was this the 'blessing', the voice said earlier about knowing how strong your enemy was?

If it has stats and levels, so should I, right? But how do I make it appear? I then decided to quietly think about it and once I thought seriously about 'status', some kind of panel appeared in front of me.

As I saw my level, I immediately thought of closing the panel as the Minotaur's attack was already coming for me. The girls then shouted, "Please! move away! don't let yourself be killed for us!"

I just laughed as I raised my hand, "No need to worry, I'm stronger than you think", the minotaur was only level 50, and I'm level 90, well then, time to defeat this son of a bitch.

The great axe descended down to me and I didn't even flinch. I just raised my right arm and then I saw... some kind of tattoo on my arm. It looked extremely similar to the rope dart when it wrapped around my arm. Well, I have no time to think about that.

I simply jumped up high and grabbed the great axe and threw it away which dumbfounded not just the girls, but the minotaur as well. It then growled in anger as it dispatched its thought of holding back.

I simply chuckled as I grabbed extended forth my hand and a what seemed to be a ball of light appeared in my hand. The best way to deal with the undead is light magic after all. One of the girls just gasped at that as she said, "Such potent light magic..."

Then, the minotaur seemed scared for its life as it turned back and tried to sprint away. I just threw the ball of light towards it and it screeched in pain as it touched its body. It then slowly turned burned and turned to charcoal as it fell down on the ground.

Well, that was easy. Not even a challenge if I might say. I simply shrugged my shoulders as I landed on the ground only seeing four girls looking at me with pure shock in their faces.
