"Thud Thud."

The weak but clear sound echoed in the darkness. Sounds like this would be common anywhere but not here and most certainly not at this hour. it was the midnight hour. The place was eerie enough at this time without the sound echoing through the place. After all this was a graveyard.

At the foot of the Mountain, guarded by a simple fence was one of the most quiet and peaceful graveyards in the country. It's remote location prevented people from visiting during the day so a night visit was almost impossible.

Wolf narrowed his eyes at the sound. It was a good thing that he was not scared and had a strong heart not was he a believer of ghosts or he would have fainted by now as the sound was followed by muffled voices. A flight of fancy, made him imagine that maybe it was time for vampires to rise and heay get to witness it.

Unknown to him, his own green eyes that glittered in the dark night like jewels and his pale face and dark clothes had actually made someone believe that he was a vampire.Cheng Mo gulped as his boss stared at the old woman who was talking to a grave...No no no,that thought was too creepy, he decided and amended himself, the woman who had knocked on the tomb and was talking to someone behind it. They had known that Old chairwoman Lu would not sit quietly and so had kept an eye on her surreptitiously. It was better to prevent than regret later.Ever since, the most had known that the missus' life was in danger, he had been over working the guards..He had even taken her to the middle of the ocean so that no one would be able to attack her.

And as expected, the old woman had already paid an assasin to murder her granddaughter. At this point the old woma should have sat back and waited for the news from the assasin but here she was out again. And this time it was even more serious.

Because the number she had called had been untraceable.

This afternoon, when he had received their commander's call to inform him of the fact that lady Lu was contacting someone and that person was not traced, he had not panicked but started to use the boss' military contacts to get more details. But they too had called back and refused to say anything other than that of the boss wanted more information, he would have to contact them himself...This in itself was even more stranger so Cheng Mo had wasted no time in contacting the boss. On Wild's orders, they had kept a close eye on Lady Lu and here she was finally exposing herself.

Cheng Mo was curious to know what she was discussing but dare not call out to his boss. They were at a distance where they could hear nothing clearly but he know his boss could lip read and it would be lethal to break his concentration.

Wolf narrowed his eyes to slits when he understood what the lady was saying. The old woman was really good it seemed and he had done well not to underestimate her.She was actually threatening someone to help her.

The other party also felt angered at the lady's attitude and rudely cut her off before offering,"I will pass on your pleas and message to the masters. But what they decide is not in my hands. And now please don't waste my time..Also the master has one thing to say,'Once this favor is done, please considered your debt paid in full. The Yoo family will then have nothing to do with you."

The old woman nodded in acceptance and walked away from the tomb without a backward glance., a smug smile on her face.

The other man also departed while Wolf's men who were scattered around the graveyard, followed their targets. However, soon the second guard reported that they had lost the man they were tracking.Wolf nodded and asked them to retreat.Whoever the old woman had implored for help had not yet taken any action so there was no need to follow them...But Wolf slowly walked to the small tomb.It looks like that of a child. He studied it carefully wondering if there really was someone buried in there or it was a ruse to meet agents. From the conversation, he had already gleaned that the old woman's helper was an ancient family who were rich enough and old that they were not known to many.Such familiess had retreated to protect themselves but their money and power was immense. The Yoo family was one of the old prestigious families..It seemed a child of this family was buried here and the old woman had done something for the family or maybe the child so the family owed the woman a favor...

It was time to find more about this formidable woman, Wolf decided..How was she able to make contacts with them and then sustain that contact for years on end...Because this child seemed to have been buried here for more than ten years...

Turning to Cheng Mo, he ordered,"Leave the Yoo family alone for now.We don't want to invite unnecessary trouble.Dig into the chairwoman's past and see of you can find a connection between her and the child buried here.Tell our military contacts that we are willing to cooperate with them on the condition that this time no information is hidden. If I am not satisfied with what they have to tell then all contracts will stand cancelled and I will personally make sure that they do not get better contracts.

With that, he turned around to leave the place when a new problem faced him.Cheng Mo hesitantly told him,"Sir, Miss Xie has refused to stay away and insisted to return. The captain has slowed their return but even then they will be reaching the shore by dawn tomorrow.Would you like to return to the ship or await her at the shore?"
