Shield Hero With Barrier Magic

(Rino's POV)

After our plan, we went shopping and Hiro-sama bought me a magic staff and a magic wand with a huge amount of money. I tried to stop him from spending that much on me but he didn't care.

The magic wand is a wand with the size of my forearm. The staff is just a light-weighted staff which is longer than. Its width is nothing compared to Hiro-sama's. Argh, I am thinking about it again! Keep your mind, Rino! Don't go into those thoughts! Concentrate!

This was the main problem today. After our shopping, Hiro-sama left me with Aunt Elaria and our today's lesson was to concentrate and be able to control mana through our staff and a basic spell 'Zweit Air Shot'. I promised myself to give my best and when I was trying to concentrate, Aunt would go into teasing mode and remind me of that thing. I couldn't understand if she was trying to help me or not.

But after I was able to do it, she explained that professional mages will be able to do that naturally like they are just breathing without concentration. So, I will be professional in this only if I controlled mana even though I am only having perverted thoughts in my mind. From tomorrow, she will impart not only her knowledge as a witch but also her perverted knowledge. I was reluctant about the perverted part but when she said that it would be useful for me to satisfy Hiro-sama, I agreed.

After that, Hiro-sama came to pick me up as he was done collecting and selling medicine and we went to the forest where Raphtalia and Eclair were training. And Hiro-sama told me the basics of using a staff. My offense will be mostly magic. But when chants take some time or I am out of mana, I need to at least defend myself till I replenish my mana or finish the chant. He said only an idiot would let his opponent do long chants rather than striking.

Today, I also invented an effective way of using the air shot. I beat a monster with a staff and used sir shot in that momentum and that dealt a lot of damage to the monster. Hiro-sama said that it would kill a human if that kind of damage is made at an average human's s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e place like neck. We fight monsters but from his way of training me, I can understand that he considers his opponent as someone who is capable of thinking rather than a brainless monster. That says how much he is used to fighting and killing humans.

My to-do list is like this... 1) Increase my mana and get control over it as much as I can. 2) Become a master in using staff. 3) Take my revenge. 4) Make Hiro-sama fall for me.

After our training, we went to the inn where they once used to stay and the inn owner looked at us.

Inn Owner: "Welcome back, my biggest *******! Shield Hero! How was your trip to Riyute?"

Wow, this guy worsh.i.p.s Hiro-sama.

Hiro: "It was fine. Oh, we got a new member. This is Rino."

He looked at me and asked Hiro-sama.

Inn Owner: "Wait, you got another slave as your daughter? Well, it's not a demi-human again, so..."

Inn Owner: "Seriously?"

This inn owner is pissing me off. Hiro-sama and others are just giggling at me. The inn owner looked at Hiro.

Inn's Owner: "Well, looks can be deceiving. So, what is she to you other than a slave? Little sister? Concubine? Second Wife?"

The moment he said it, Eclair released her killing intent.

Eclair: "Do you think I would be allowing the second and third options, Mr.Inn Owner?"

The inn owner immediately made a dogeza and apologized to Eclair turning her back to normal. I can say that he is terrified of her. Well, I am fine with all the three options he said. I am fine with the first option as long as it's going i.n.c.e.s.t route. I would like to have the third one but I am also okay with the second option as long as I can stay with him. I just want to be close to Hiro-sama. Alas, I am not even part of the family. I am just a team member and a slave. That part hurts me a little. I want to be a part of this family in any way possible.

Hiro-sama: "Well, We didn't decide her position in the family for the moment. She's just a part of the family for now. You don't need to decide any relations to be a part of a family, right?"

I looked at Hiro-sama. Is this person a mind reader? He just says the things I want to hear when I need them the most. I love him. I will do anything for this person.

Raphtalia: "She's trying to be Daddy's wife just like me!"

Inn owner: "Hahaha... You have grown into a fine young woman, Raphtalia. You grew a lot since you went from here."

Raphtalia: "Of course! I will grow up and become Daddy's wife in no time!"

Raphtalia will be Raphtalia no matter the situation. Eclair just sighed while smiling.

Inn owner: "Yeah yeah... I won't comment about it or your mother will get angry. Anyway, Shield Hero, you have ann extra member which means..."

Hiro: "Throw another bed in the room and yeah, I will be paying for her according to our initial contract."

Inn owner: "Thank you!"

He jumped in joy and immediately made the required arrangements to the room and led us there. Once we are in the room, I hugged Hiro-sama with tears in my eyes. Eclair didn't go into Yandere mode. Maybe, it's because she saw tears in my eyes. Hiro-sama kept patting me.

Rino: "Thank You, Hiro-sama. It meant a lot to me when you said those words about me being a part of the family. Thank You!"

When my mother died, I became really lonely. I wanted a family. Maybe that's also one of the reasons, I ignored all the things they did when I was at the spear buffoon's party. I considered them as my new family. I was too afraid of becoming lonely again. So, I kept living in delusions considering them my family until I was betrayed and made alone again.

Eclair: "Well, isn't that obvious? Although it's annoying that you are aiming for Hiro, you became a part of this family the moment you joined the team. All of us lost the ones we love one way or the other and became lonely. So, let's be a family to be there for each other."

Rino: "Thanks Eclair... For a moment, I thought of sacrificing my love for you."

Eclair: "I would be glad if you really did."

Both of us started laughing. Raphtalia came to me.

Raphtalia: "Hmm... You need a defined relationship with the family, right? How about being my elder sister? I will call you 'Rino-nee'"

Rino: "Once more... Call me that once more..."

Raphtalia: "Rino-nee..."

Awawawa! What is this feeling? To be considered older by someone? For someone with a small stature like me, it feels really great!

Rino: "Raphtalia! You should call me 'Rino-nee' from now on!"

Raphtalia is looking at me confused at why I am so excited. You wouldn't understand, Raphtalia. This is only something that could be understood by someone who is old but looks like a kid. Eclair started laughing.

Eclair: "Hahaha. Doesn't that make you my and Hiro's daughter, Rino?"

Well, she was technically correct. That displeased me a little.

Raphtalia: "Don't worry, Rino-nee! That won't be a problem once I become Daddy's wife! I am wondering if I should call Mommy as 'Mommy' or 'Sister' once that happens."

Eclair's laugh disappeared in an instant.

Eclair: "My dear daughter... It looks like you are really eager for some punishment."

Raphtalia: "Kyaa! Daddy! Rino-nee! Save me!"

Eclair went to punish Raphtalia and she started her escaping game. Hiro-sama and I kept laughing at the situation.
