(After the Wave)

(Hiro's POV)

Hiro: "Alright, guys, help me remove their dead bodies from the rubble."

We are currently trying to rebuild the town and remove those bodies from the debris. Girls are helping women and children while I and the guys are removing and arranging the dead bodies in one place. I already sent one of the villagers to inform Trash about the tragic death of the whole platoon and the heroes win in the Wave.

While we were arranging the bodies, the other heroes were coming here with their teams. The girls are not here, so I think there won't be a problem with Motoyasu. Well, Bitch is glaring at me though.

Hiro: "Hey, guys! How did your side go?"

Motoyasu: "Walk in the park."

I know. That's why I left it for you.

Bitch: "It was a good thing that you weren't there. You would have definitely held us back, Hiro-sama."

There would be nothing for you to do if I acted, Bitch.

Itsuki: "Indeed. The Next Wave will be probably easy, too."

Oh, dream on. Glass is going to kick your a.s.s in the Next Wave.

Ren: "The boss was a piece of cake. Anyway, what happened here, Hiro?"

Hiro: "Can't you see? The whole platoon of soldiers that were sent to fight the Wave got wiped out. I am helping them out in putting those bodies in one place."

Itsuki: "So tragic. I see... This is the reason nobody came to receive us after we won."

Motoyasu: "Wow, you are still in the surroundings of the Wave? I thought you might have run to another village a long time ago."

Wow, you have a great opinion on me.

Hiro: "Nah, if I want to run away, I can just teleport using the portal shield. But I found out that we were near Riyute. Well, I have a good relationship with the people of Riyute. So, I couldn't just leave it."

One of the other villagers started speaking.

Villager1: "We are very grateful for Hiro. He helped us evacuate in time. No one in our village died due to that."

Ren: "For someone who wants to run away, you did a really good job, Hiro. I thought you would use the portal shield the moment you got transported to the Wave."

Itsuki: "Wow, you are being a hero at least like this. How did the whole platoon die though? Looking at the bodies, they are burnt?"

Hiro: "Well, yeah. A burning bell tower collapsed on them. That killed most of them and the monsters killed the remaining."

Itsuki: "That's really unfortunate."

Just at that moment, another platoon came to the scene.

Hiro: "Oh, great timing. Please collect these bodies."

I don't know if they are also from church or Trash sent them. But the general of the platoon glared at me for a moment and he turned to the heroes and gave a bright smile.

General: "Heroes! Well done!"

Motoyasu: "The knights huh. I guess you are here to pick up the bodies of your dead comrades."

General: "Yes, we are but also we are here to inform you that his Highness is arranging a party tonight for celebrating your first victory! He has high rewards for each of you. Let us go see him."

Motoyasu: "What are we waiting for ?!! Let's go!"

Hiro: "Alright, see you, guys."

General turned at smiled at me too. He is seriously bad at acting.

General: "Wait a second, Shield Hero! His highness wants your presence too."

Hiro: "Why? I quit being a hero, right?"

Villagers: "Are you kidding?"

Hiro: "Hey, I just tried to save you guys because I know you guys. Well, in the end, if I couldn't handle it, I would have run away right that instant."

Villagers: "That doesn't change the fact that you saved everyone in the village!"

Immediately, the four in Ren's party started laughing.

Welt: "It looks like they won't let you deny that you are a hero."

Hiro: "I am not a hero and I will never be one! I am just someone who does what he wants!"

Bakta: "Yeah yeah. Keep saying that."

The general was clearly becoming more pissed on the inside. He is trying to keep his smile.

General: "His highness recognizes your efforts to save the village people. So, he wants to give you a small reward and invite you to today's party."

Hiro: "Alright, we will attend after we are done here."

Itsuki: "We?"

The four in Ren's group started talking.

Welt: "Hiro is not alone anymore. He has a family now. A wife, an adopted daughter and the daughter's sister."

All the other's heroes team except Ren's is looking at me with surprise.

Itsuki: "What? When did this happen? You are married and have two daughters ?!!"

Bakta: "No, a daughter and the daughter's sister."

Itsuki: "Umm... That makes two daughters, right?"

Ren: "No, it doesn't."

Motoyasu: "That doesn't make any sense."

Ren: "I know. This is a weird family. You will understand when you see them."

Itsuki: "Will you introduce us to your family, Hiro?"

Hiro: "Alright, I will bring them to the party. But not now. We are still helping the villagers and we will be there tonight. You can go first."

The heroes went with the general while I went to the girls who were just done helping others.

Eclair: "The repair costs and everything makes up to almost 35 gold, Hiro."

Alright, I am gonna make Trash pay for it tonight.

Hiro: "It seems we need to attend the party at the castle today."

Eclair: "What are they planning now? Do you think we should attend?"

Hiro: "We definitely should. We don't have a solid reason to be openly hostile to Trash. So, we have to attend the party along with other heroes."

Rino: "That means..."

I nodded at her.

Hiro: "It's time for the big reveal."

Rino: "Yay!"

Motoyasu... Get ready.

(Author's Note: Alright, now that we are near the end of volume one, time to talk about the next girl in volume two. Filo. Now, there is a little problem with Filo. If we follow the plot of the original, Hiro won't get Filo even though he got the egg which she came from.

The reason is that the color and personality of the filorial that came from the egg depends on the personality of the one who is raising it. Most of you might not know this but this is revealed in the spinoff of the original 'Reprise of the Spear Hero' where Motoyasu loops through time.

So, according to Hiro's current personality, the one who comes out of the egg is not Filo but Sakura. Now for those who are wondering who the hell is Sakura. She is a main character from the spinoff 'Reprise of the Spear Hero'. She is the filorial in the spinoff who shows more affection to Naofumi no matter who raised her including Motoyasu (Poor guy. He couldn't recognize that she is Filo and couldn't get her attraction even though he himself raised her in a loop.)

Now, Sakura raised by Naofumi from the spinoff is more like an opposite to Filo even though they are from the same egg and raised by the same person but with different personalities.

In appearance, Filorial form, Sakura is pinker than Filo.

In appearance, Human form, Filo is a blonde loli while Sakura is a pink-haired 17-year-old girl.

In personality, While Filo acts like a spoiled child and an airhead, Sakura acts more m.a.t.u.r.e and happy go lucky.

In fighting, While Filo likes to fight more in her bird form, Sakura likes to fight more in human form with a sword or dual swords.

Filo will just be a mascot character and won't have a s.e.x scene while Sakura will be having one. I don't know if I should follow the plot and insert Sakura instead of Filo or just put Filo or there is also a third option, I can put both of them and say some bullshit like Hiro did cloning with the barrier magic.
