SUPREME VISION SYSTEM

Chapter 45 - WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?

When he decided that it was time he returned to his bed suddenly his vision got blocked again. It turned black and Cole had to stop right where he was trying to hold out his hand, figuring if he could hold onto some kind of support.

He was still inside the living room and he did not want to walk out of it when he could not see anything and then crash onto something like the nearby flower vase or the big pottery and wake up Mr. Evans, he did not want that.

So he waited where he was for a while. This thing was seriously becoming so irritating now. It did not have any mechanism to warn him or anything before the entire world became black for his eyes.

What if it happened in a time where he would get caught in an accident only because he had no idea what was there in the front because he turned blind for a flash of time.

His vision started to turn white and then black. The cycle repeated just like before and he was so mad at it, at himself. What disease did he catch?

He could only wonder until he gets to meet the doctor tomorrow and knows about it. Hopefully, it had a cure, and that everything would be alright and back to normal after this.

Once his vision returned to that average type, he stood up and climbed the stairs without making a single noise. He closed the door behind him and headed directly towards his bed.

He was already so tired for the day. It was time he went to sleep.

The next morning, Cole woke up to his mother calling out for him. He could smell the delicious scent of frying pancakes which he loved.

He rolled over from the left side to the right side to check the time on his alarm digital clock if it was already time for school.

When he saw that it was already seven in the morning, he rushed out of the bed and made his way downstairs to the bathroom to get fresh and get ready right away.

He tried to open the door of the bathroom but it was locked from the other side and he could hear the water running meaning someone was inside there probably doing their morning business or taking a bath.

Cole knocked on the door, "Common get out...I have school in half an hour."

He yelled and knocked at the door once again. Damn! Who was it? He thought. His mother would never use the bathroom this early in the morning knowing it was always him for he had to get ready for school so she always let him go for it and she had nowhere to go in the daytime. Her work started in the night time anyways.

"Hey man! Is it you? Why don't you just go and use your own damn bathroom which is just right next door? Get out...I have school..damnit.."

Cole kind of assumed that it would have to be Mr. Evans and no one else. Perhaps the man had mistaken their house as his after letting him sleepover just for one night. He was not liking it already.

"What is happening? Why are you shouting in the very morning, Cole?"

Ivory came rushing out of the kitchen where she started cooking breakfast just after coming back from work two hours prior.

It was her daily routine to cook breakfast for Cole. Although she had none of it and packed hers inside in the fridge as lunch for her. Her dining routine was irregular, she was aware of it.

And today in the morning, she decided to go for making some pancakes for Mr. Evans was also there. She had to feed him the very promised breakfast that she spoke about the yesternight.

"Mom...this psychotic man had entered the bathroom and is not intending to come out anytime sooner. And I m getting late for school. "

Cole complained to his mother in an annoying tone. His mother gestured to him to keep his voice down in the morning. Their neighbors could hear him for god's sake.

"Cole, keep your voice down please and Mr. Evans just got in before you came down. He was helping me with breakfast. Just wait for a while, son." Ivory said.

"What? How could I wait, mom? The school will not wait for me if I get late?" Cole wailed.

"Cole...Cole, please keep your voice down. Do you know the Whites can hear us? They complained about your feelings last week itself. " Ivory tried to shush her kid.

The Whites were a lovely and at the same time very orderly older couples living right next door to them.

The mornings in the Sullivan's were always chaotic for sometimes Ivory would arrive late from work and breakfast would not be ready.

She would rush inside and start making anything asking Cole to wait even for a minute. He did not like eating the regular cereals and so having them in the house was useless. Plus he was lactose intolerant.

So it was hard work for Ivory every day to make something for breakfast for she knew her son would not bother feeding himself a nice lunch in school. Vinny had complained about it to her many times and it was no use in asking or scolding Cole to do it.

So she always made sure to feed him breakfast at least so that he could get the required nutrition that his body needed at this stage of growth.

And so Whites could hear the mother and son, duo, screaming and shouting. Cole yelling out that he was getting late and needed to get to school in no time while Ivory would scream back that the breakfast was almost ready and was on the way.

That even when he could not eat here. He could eat in the way, walking to school. Cole would groan in annoyance and then in the last minute, he would just rush out of the front door while Ivory would run after him but it was useless as he was already gone.

Ivory would wail at him for never understanding her tons of hard work that how hard it was to return from working all night long and then cook him breakfast that he did not even bother to acknowledge. She would scream that out in the middle of the street, free in the air.

"I do not give two bucks about what the Whites think of us, mom. I m getting late here. Ask him to come out right now. " Cole growled.

"Just hold on for a few minutes, bud. This is a case of a bad stomach in the morning. "

Mr. Evans yelled from inside the bathroom. Cole looked at his mother unbelieving what he just heard.

Damn! Wait for what? Another few minutes? It was already seven in the morning. His school would start at eight-thirty and sometimes even earlier than that.

"I cannot wait for even another few seconds, so just come out. I have a school man. " Cole retorted back, knocking at the door.

"Just...just break the door and get in. The man told you, wait for a few minutes. He said he would drop you school in his car so you do not have to walk and you will not get late so rest assured and come and have your breakfast till the time he comes out. "

Ivory scolded and stared at her son with those serious eyes of a mother stating that there was no place for arguments anymore.

"What? What mom? " Cole groaned.

"You heard me the first time. "

Ivory flapped her hands, walking away from the scene and heading inside the living room, switching the television on.

"I m not going to school with him. He is not going to drop me in school. I m not letting him. What he is now? My nanny?"

Cole followed his mother, strolling behind her, and stopped right before her when she sat on the sofa going through the channels in the television.

"You just got out of the hospital and I was not even ready to let you go school today but you forced me into it. " Ivory stated.

"Yes...because I m alright...not injured or anything. Why should I stay back for nothing? Plus I have a test too so..."

"Yes...so I m not stopping you but you can go only if you agree to ride in Mr. Evans's car and be a good boy and not question back your mother for everything, Cole. "

His mother cut him short. He was about to retort back but she eyed him narrowly, trying to assert the fact this time she was not going to listen to him no matter how much he tried to act stubborn.

"Mom!!!!! " Cole snorted. "He is not my nanny....why don't you understand???"

Ivory just rolled her eyes at her overly arrogant son and continued to flip through the television channels. Cole was about to argue more when the headline of the news got his interest.

"Tekla Cooper missing has entered the second day today and still no word of founding the whereabouts of the eighteen-year-old young man who goes to the South Counter High School."

Ivory looked over at her son. She knew about Tekla Cooper. She saw him in Cole's classroom too in the parent's teachers' meets.

"Did you know about this?" She asked.

Cole shook his head in denial and that was when he remembered the talk he had with Vincent last night. He also mentioned that Tekla aka Colonel Sikara, his game name went missing.

Perhaps what Vin was telling turned out to be true. He just got recalled of the scene where he shot him to death in the game. Cole closed his eyes thinking if it was possible that...that...it was the cause of him going missing? He had no idea.

"Well, that is awful news in the morning. I wonder what happened. " Ivory said.

"What happened?"

Mr. Evans came questioned coming out of the bathroom and taking a seat on the sofa beside Ivory. Cole just continued to look at the television screen as the news narrated the report of several students going missing on the same day and the police had not found any cloud about it.

"Another reason for you to ride in Mr. Evans's car to school. It could be some serious case of student kidnapping. " Ivory asserted.

Cole did not say anything and just turned back to head inside the bathroom to get ready for school.
