And in the flip of fingers, the entire answer to question number one got reflected in front of his eyes as if someone was holding a notebook with solved answers before his damn eyes. 

He just was so shocked at that point

His eyes widened thinking and seeing what was actually going on? He was really awestruck in not a good way or bad way either but in a traumatic shocking way.

"What happened? Mr. Sullivan? Go on voice out the answer."

Mr. Miles asked again and Cole gulped the saliva down his throat as he wondered whether or not to narrate the answer being reflected in front of his eyes.

What if anyone would see him doing it? They would for sure report it to Mr. Miles and he would get into more serious trouble than the one he was already in for trying to cheat the teacher.

Mr. Miles watched the boy weirdly and looked at his back to check if something weird was going on but he saw nothing other than the blank board and the white wall.

"What are you looking at?"

He implored and that got Cole to turn his eyes and see the teacher instead of looking straight on to nothingness.

It ringed to him only then the reflection could not be seen by anyone but him...damn! What was happening? What was going on?

'Just answer the damn thing, you dumb kid!'

Again the voice made him look around trying to detect where it was coming from.

The entire classroom broke down in laughter looking at Cole behaving like he was in some kind of hallucinations or something. The boy did not seem like hwas in his right state of mind.

"Someone did not have a good sleep last night!"

One of the students joked and the rest of the classmates laughed at it. Cole was embarrassed and flushed but he had no idea what was seriously going on at that very moment.

"Silence! Silence class! "

Mr. Miles voiced out and the murmur and whispers of the class disappeared out in no time. The teacher's attention was back on Cole now.

"Mr. Sullivan do you know the answer to the question?"

He asked one more time and at that point, Cole knew if he did not answer out then he was in for a severe punishment that could even land him to detention which he did not want at least not when the year was going to get over in a few months.

So Cole shut his eyes for a brief second and opened them to see the answer being reflected before him in the air and narrated them out, taking his time, shocking the teacher and the entire class too at the same time.

When he was done, Mr. Miles could not believe what he just heard, and neither Cole could think of what just happened.

"Mr. Sullivan do you know the answer to the question?"

He asked one more time and at that point, Cole knew if he did not answer out then he was in for a severe punishment that could even land him to detention which he did not want at least not when the year was going to get over in a few months.

When he was done, Mr. Miles could not believe what he just heard, and neither Cole could think of what just happened.

"It...it is correct, sir."

Ruby, the nerd, the topper of their class sitting in the front voiced out listening to the answer that Cole just narrated out.

Vin was shocked as he continued to eye Cole not having any words, his breathing stuck on his chest. Damn! When did his man know about math?

Mr. Miles observed Cole with his scrutinizing gaze and then asked him to solve the next problem too.

"Will be able to narrate the answer to question number two or would like to solve it on the board?"

'Say you will narrate. Walking will disturb the optical signals!'

Again the voice said and Cole this time decided to listen to it till he was out of trouble for seemed like the answer was right and so Mr. Miles looked shocked and so did Cole, at himself.

"I...I would rather speak it out, Sir."

Cole said and Vin could no longer keep his head straight up as it started to spin, thinking what was happening and when did Cole become so daring, confident, and a mathematician.

Mr. Miles was taken aback by his reply as he was not expecting that at all. He was astounded by how exactly and accurate his answer was.

For a student who did not even know the trigonometric formulas and failed it in the last test, even in the retest, Mr. Miles was really shocked.

"Fine then, go on..."

Mr. Miles nodded his head expecting a wrong answer this time for it makes no sense to show a kid could master up trigonometry overnight.

Cole inhaled a lump of huge air as he saw the answers floating in the air before his eyes and cleared his throat before reciting out the solution to the problem once again taking his sweet time.

"It is right, Sir. Absolutely right!"

Ruby said checking out the solution if her own that she noted down on her own notebook.

The entire class started whispering and murmuring again encountering a failure turning into a genius in no time.

Mr.Miles was about to ask him to solve another problem but the bell rang and it was the time for recess.

Cole huffed in relief as he heard the bell rang and the students started packing their notebook inside their bag and heading out of the classroom.

Everyone ss the passed by could not help but comment out what just happened in their math class today.

Mr. Miles eyed Cole for a brief second before heading out of the classroom. Something was up but no one had any idea what was up.

Vin finally stepped out of his desk to confront his best buddy for not telling him when did he master up in all the chapters of mathematics?

Did he take tuition or something? Coaching perhaps? But even taking those would not give such quick results for Cole did not know even he did not know about the basics. How then?

But before Vin could ask, his team members called out for him, dragging him to the practice field.

Cole sighed when he saw Vin walking out, looking at him the entire time. He knew that Vin would fire a ton of bullets of questions his way for what just happened and he would not be able to answer either for he had no idea.

The voice was suddenly gone and even the reflection if the answer was out. Cole looked around again, coming out of his desk, eyeing the ceiling very observantly if there was something up there.

But there was none. He slapped on his forehead wondering what was going on. He slipped his books, and copies inside his bag and headed out of the classroom.

He was all by himself in lunch for today for Vin was out for practice and he knew that he would not return even after the school would be over. They were practicing for the annual match.

Anyway, Cole was glad because he could not be able to bear to answer any of the questions of Vin when he was unsure himself about what the hell was going on.

He walked down the corridor as he could feel the eyes of students on him standing by the corner or near their locker, gossiping about him.

He just bowed his head down and continued to walk away from there still trying to figure out what just happened back in the classroom.

How magically the reflection of the answer appeared right in front of his eyes and then disappeared like it was not even there from before right after the class ended.

Then there were those voices that would speak up and it seemed like it was only he who could hear it and no one else.

But where were these voices coming from? He could only wonder and then suddenly it came back again in the board daylight as he resumed his walk towards the cafeteria making him stop in between to look around once again.

'I m inside your head!'

What??? Say what?

Cole was stuck in his position when he heard the voice telling itself stuck in his head. What the freaking hell?

Was it having some sort of side effects on the lenses?

....which may be the lady forgot to mention??

'It's not side-effects, you are in a system!'
