SUPREME VISION SYSTEM

Chapter 77 - EMERGENCY!

Just say you were talking to the call service! Your earpods are attached to your ears!'

Cole touched his ears to check if he really had the earpods on this entire time and he signed when he had it.

"I...I was talking to the call service. Keeps calling back every..every damn time, you know.."

Cole shrugged trying to act cool and that nothing else was going on other than that. Vin could see right through him and he did not want that to happen exactly right then.

'Do not worry! I shut down your usual flushed face when you lie!'

Cole's immediate response in his mind was how?? How the hell could it even control his facial expression now?? What the hell was going on?? For Christ's sake!

'Oh! I just controlled your hormonal release!'

'Yes..yes I can control everything from the upper right halve of your torso. Man! Just waiting for the next update at this point!'

"Cole... Cole...where did you get lost??"

Vin shook his hand before Cole's eyes that got him to look back at him and come out of stance from listening to the robot's words all this while.

"Yeah..sorry man! Just tired from copying these notes."

Cole said as he opened his backpack to get the notebooks out from in there and hand them over to Vin. He just wanted to go out sooner from here then and explore more about this system thing with the robot.

Vin held all the notebooks that Cole handed him and thrashing them inside his duffle bag.

"Man, why did you not tell me that you were done with your math syllabus?? "

Vin questioned with a serious look on his face. He just could not believe how Cole was trying to hide this simple fact from him. Was he competing with him by any chance??

Then Vin just wanted him to let him know that it was useless competing him with study for god's sake for when it came to studies, Vin was even more of a gone case than Cole.

Even if he remembered back in their kindergarten times, Cole was actually good in studies but with time, his performance dropped and it never raised up.

Vin knew that it had everything to do with his father and scattered family. Before he scored well to have his father come to him and praise him but then when it never happened after years and years of waiting for him to come by, Cole just gave up.

"No...why would I even ask that?"

Cole asked. Damn! He did not want Vin to start with what happened in the math class again because the entire time, today he heard almost everyone talking about it like it was something very big.

Plus, their class topper, Ruby now started eyeing him as her damn competition. He was not even freaking close to where she stood. Why get all hyper on him for nothing??

"Do not lie to me, man! I saw what happened in the math class today. You did not even solve the problem in the notebook and narrated the answer out to Mr. Miles as if you learned the answer hard or something? "

Vin implored. He did not know why even Cole was trying to hide the fact that he studied before they officially started their study session. It was not a big issue if he wanted to score well this time and get back on track before high school.

"I...I just happened to learn only the answer to those two questions. It was in the textbook and I had been staring at it the whole night...so..."

Cole dragged on with a bundle of lies and false information to cover up what actually happened. He was just not ready to confess everything to Vin yet.

When he himself did not know what exactly was going on, he could he blurt it all to Vin and at the same time explain it to him too for Vin always had too many questions for everything.

Vin was nor satisfied with the answer he just got from Cole but regardless he thought to go with it.

"Cool man! You have a good memory then.."

Cole nodded his head not knowing what to say and what not to say. Vin went back to keeping the net and football back inside the bag.

Cole just sat down on the bare grass waiting for Vin to be done with. They would walk home together. Vin smiled at his way as he was nearly done with his chores.

"These boys being a bit good than me in scoring a goal, they just leave me to pack all the things up. I mean how cruel is that??"

Vin nagged as he went around the field to collect all the five footballs scattered on the lawn. Cole helped him with that a little by throwing two balls lying close to him.

Vin caught them and kept it inside, thanking Cole at the same time.

'How awkward is it between your best friend and you?'

And again it was back for the nth time. It had been quiet on for a brief second or so.

'I had to point out how awkward you are even in front of your best buddy!'

Cole tried to control himself from his immediate outburst and slap it on its face to shut the f.u.c.k up! But then again it had no face either, to begin with.

'You could have just helped him with the entire thing and talk in between instead of seeing him work all alone after such a long tiring practice!'

Cole looked up in the sky waiting for the damn thing to stop talking. He was starting to get his headaches back and yet he did not know how to stop the damn thing down.

"I m almost done. Wait! As I was saying, they are thinking of sending me a step ahead and make me a striker...I mean how great is that..."

"Vin. I m so sorry but I just got a call...I have to go. Emergency!"

Cole strode away not being able to sit still anymore with the robot continuing it's talking to him.
