SUPREME VISION SYSTEM

Chapter 82 - I KNOW THAT I M SAFE WITH YOU..

'Someone is trying to break into our system! Close your eyes immediately then no one can prove its signal to us!'

"But then how am I going to walk home??? What is happening?? I m scared! Did the state come to know about it already??"

Cole fearfully intervened as he looked around trying to figure out what to do and what not to do. He was in deep shit and he realized it very very late.

'Just call Vin and say you turned blind and ask him to get you but dammnit, close your eyes!'

The robot said and Cole obliged to its words and closed his eyes, ready to give a call to Vin.

Cole kept his eyes closed as he made a call to Vin. The ringing went on but he did not pick up. That led Cole to panic what if Vin got busy then how was he going to get home with his eyes closed.

He had a curfew set by his mother that to be home exactly before six in the evening and that was his punishment for coming home very late last night so he could not get late this time.

He was aware that it must have been already past four in the afternoon and he had only one hour to reach home.

After a long wait, Vin finally answered the call, and Cole was relieved to hear his voice from the other side.

"What is wrong, Cole?? I was driving home and you know how dense I get singing and driving. I had my phone in silence so did not notice you calling..."

"It's alright... it's alright...just listen to me..."

Cole interrupted Vin right away. When Vin talks, he could go on and go on and it was not the time to waste time listening to Vin's banter.

"What?? What happened?? Are you alright, man?"

There was a hint of worrying in his voice and Cole knew that what he was going to say would make him worried more about him.

"Can you please come by to the Centennial park?? I need a ride home. I got blind and can't see a thing."

"Oh, man! Will be there right away. You do not move ok? Keep seating where you are. Why do you even keep going to that park anyway?"

Vin interfered as he moved his car in an opposite direction. Cole felt bad for lying to his best buddy once again but he was very needy at that moment.

Sitting all alone in the park with his eyes closed tight, he could not see any damn thing and it gets lonelier when Vin hangs up the call. He said that he will be here in thirty minutes.

The robot was suddenly was gone and there were no signs of it. What the hell even happened?? Who was trying to break in their system??

That got Cole worried too. He still had no idea what the system thing was as the robot wasted a lot more time explaining to him unrelated things to his question about the system.

But then that information too seemed important for it helped him to understand what kind of world he was to expect in the next three years in the future.

Although it gave him goosebumps knowing he had the lenses in his possession, the most cut off edge technology in the entire decade.

He did not know how to make use of it, what system was going to do him and his body, more so what was he going to do with the information that he could never get rid of those damn lenses anymore.

For once it was stuck, it remained stuck to those eyes and could never ever be pulled out unless the entire eyeball was chopped out.

Even the mere thought gave Cole disturbing images of him being caught by the statesman and forced to remove the lenses off of his eyes resulting in his inevitable death.

His future seemed more darker now than it was before. Perhaps turning blind would not have been that bad than having to carry on your life with a destructive weapon in your damn eyes.

And not to mention once found out that it had been stolen, the entire states would be after him, also the advanced alien races.

Hell! What did he do to his life by running after catching an opportunity?? He ruined it all by trying to act smart and brave, daring for the very first time in his life.

Cole was bought out of his stance by a hand on his back, he almost opened his eyes out of fear that someone got him but then he heard that voice...

"Do not panic! It is me. Vincent!"

Cole breathed in relief and stood up. He felt Vin holding his hand as they started walking away slowly and slowly.

"Why are your eyes closed, man??"

Vin could not help but ask. Before he did not close his eyes. He was just curious why he remained sitting all alone with his eyes closed for this long.

"It just useless anyway having them opened, so kept them close."

Cole said as he followed holding Vin's hand. It was extremely uncomfortable to keep walking with his eyes closed, not knowing where exactly he was going.

"Makes sense but people were eyeing you weirdly you know sitting there, in the furthest corner, eyes closed and all that."

Vin remarked as he safely let Cole inside his Toyota Corolla and then closed the door before making sure, Cole was seated well.

He then turned around and got in his driver's seat.

"Is it not back yet?? Your vision?"

Vin questioned as he started the engine, ready to go. Cole shook his head in a negative saying that he did not get his vision back.

"Well! It's alright! You are safe with me."

Vin muttered as he pressed on the acceleration paddle and lead the car on the road.

"I know that I m safe with you man!"

Cole whispered under his breath and waited for the robot to signal him that when he was going to open his eyes patiently.
