'DO NOT TELL HIM! PUSH HIM OUT! WE NEED TO TALK, COLE SULLIVAN!'

Cole nodded his head again, and without wasting another second, he held Vin's hands and pulled him near the door. Vin protested knowing what was going to happen.

"What the hell man?? Why are you trying to get me out of your room?? Why are you nodding your head as if you are talking to someone, listening to its order??"

Vin fired questions as he tried to pull his hand away from Cole and moved further inside of the room. Cole groaned in annoyance.

'Do not speak out, Cole! He will listen to my voice, not yours and he will be suspicious !'

Cole quickly stopped from speaking out as what he just heard. What?? Why was he not allowed to speak now?? He did not get it.

'It is the system restarting and taking over your entire body!'

The robot's answer only annoyed Cole further. What else was this system going to take over?? He was not safe anymore bow that he was carrying the system inside him like a host and on top of it, the system was taking over his entire body??

Just great!!! He could not picture how in more ways his life could get difficult and complicated.

Vin resumed looking at Cole, trying to read his body feature. He...he seemed so out of order. Cole snorted as he recalled that Vin would not just go away like that without giving a good fight.

He thought of lying again and ask him politely to get out but then he could not speak more like not allowed to speak for his own good so he did not know how else to convince Vin to get the hell out of his room.

'Just throw him away!!'

Cole narrowed his eyes at what the robot said. He would not ever do that plus he could never do that either for Vin was taller than him and also fit.

'Try it! You are no more weak pal!'

Cole shook his head in negative. He would not do that ever.

'Try it! Common!'

No!!! Cole screamed out in his mind. How the hell and why the hell would he do it?? Would not it become more obvious to Vin that something was wrong with him??

'We have not tried out the fighting ability yet! Go for it! This is the time!'

Cole wanted to punch the damn robot for trying to lure him into its tricks. It was always for checking out abilities...was not it??

He felt like a damn putty in their hand who was being used for testing and trying out what else the system could do. He did not like it at all but he had no option and go by it. He did not know how to pull those lenses out of his eyes.

"Cole?? What is wrong?? You look like you are talking to someone and you are contemplating what to do and what not to do??"

Vin spoke out. He knew Cole since childhood and he could tell what was going inside the head of his best buddy.

Cole so desperately wanted to tell Vin everything but he was not allowed to. He was not to tell a thing or spill a dime about it to anyone.

The system was going to kill him!!! He thought to himself.

'No! The system will only increase your life expectancy longer than any living homo sapiens ever lived on this earth !! You will know it in level five about your first elongated life term!!'

Cole was static in his place as he tried to process in his mind what just the robot told him.

He was going to live longer....??? How long?? What the hell?? Was he going to be immortal??

'The system is developing your body, Cole! If you adapt it right and do it right, immortality is an assurity!'

Why the hell did the robot would give all kinds of shocking news to him when he could not even move his face to show off his reaction?? He could not even scream it out by what did it mean??

Vin stormed near his buddy and shook his shoulder, trying to get back his attention. It seemed like his best buddy just had a seizure or something for he just stood on the same spot without moving or looking elsewhere but just the damn white-colored wall.

'Sorry, Cole! Your eyes must have not remained static for more than minutes!'

Cole shook his head with having nothing at all to say. He just did not know what to do and what not to do. Of course, the system was taking over his entire body and he could not even do anything at all.

"Cole?? Tell me?? Why are you not speaking out?? Is something wrong?? Common voice out damnit!!"

Vin yelled, shaking his friend but Cole didn't do anything just continued to stare at him plainly.

In his eyes...in his eyes, Vin could see how he wanted to tell him but he could not. That made Vin suspicious more than ever and he knew then there that something deep was going inside Cole and he was not voicing it out.

He should...should have known it already when he saw and heard how weirdly he was behaving in the school and talking to himself as if he was talking to someone else.

Those...those things should have made him think about it sooner that there was something not right about Cole.

It was obvious that the game incident had a thing to do with it and of course, Cole was finding it hard to share these newfound changes inside him.

He just did not know how else to persuade Cole in telling him everything but he also knew that it was useless....Cole would not tell him anything right now so he himself stepped back and looked away.

Cole looked at him, mouthing sorry inside his head. He wanted to tell Vin everything but he could not and he felt bad about it for there was nothing ever Vin hid from him and so he was not supposed to hide things from Vin either.

By doing so...by not telling him a single word and keeping this entire thing a huge secret, he was breaking their bro code but how could he tell him all the things in a situation like this...Cole had no idea.

Vin suddenly remembered he had to go grocery shopping and his mother would go crazy if he did not bring the list of items on his way home from the supermarket. Their housemaid had done for a break.

He still could not grasp the fact of how come his mother allowed the maid to take a break for she never allowed that before...but nevertheless he had to go.....so he just headed out without telling a damn thing to Cole.

He was just angry at him for keeping things away from him and how disrespectful of him not to even open his damn mouth for once to say at least a sorry and that he would explain it later.

Cole turned to look as Vin stormed out of his room, thrashing the four thud in a loud sound making him know that officially he had succeeded in making Vin angry and upset.

'That did the trick! Did not it??'

"What?? What trick?? What did you do?? And why the hell I sound different?? Why do I sound like you??"

'Damn! Buddy! Take a breather!! Will ya!!'

Cole hushed and sat down on the bed again. He was so breathing in relief that Vin did not have to hear his voice like that.

"What is going on?? Who tried to hack in?? Is it bad?? Are we safe now??"

'Do not throw too many questions at once!! How many times do I have to tell that!!'

Cole rolled his eyes and just waited for the robot to start answering his questions one by one. He was annoyed and irritated already.

'We are safe for now!!'.

"What o you mean safe for now??"

Cole could not help but break in and shout that out. Were they in more danger?? Damn!!! What was he supposed to do??

'Let me complete you silly boy!!'

"You are starting to scare me."

'I have shut the system down successfully and so it is taking it's a sweet time to restarting again and taking over your body! I could not detect who it was but I could tell the intruder is from here nearby!!'

"What the hell?? How could you tell so??"

Cole's heart thumped against his chest thinking how the intruder was already near to his place. He was sure to get caught and be killed now.

'You are not going to be killed!! Breathe common!!'

"Who was it?? Was it some state agency??"

'No! It was not the state! It was someone!'
