SUPREME VISION SYSTEM

Chapter 92 - VERY UNLIKELY

Without wasting any time, he climbed down the stairs and made his way out of the house not letting his mother know about it. She must be inside resting for she had long night shifts.

He took a u-turn once he noticed that Mr. Evans's house was locked and the man was not looking at him from inside his house with the sorry excuse of keeping tabs on him as asked by his mother.

He walked past five houses and waited silently by the side strolling around lazily, eyes everywhere. He could not see anything suspicious or like any different car being parked by the entry of the alley.

He looked down on his wristwatch as he waited and waited and suddenly he felt someone trying to mess up with the system once again.

Cole immediately got into alert mode. His eyes shone sparkling blue as he looked around trying to find the source that was daring to hack into his system again.

The robot had taught him well of what to do in situations like this. He needed to shield the system and protect himself at the same time too.

The street was empty. Strangely, the dogs were missing and he did not notice it before but now he did.

Because if they were to be present here, they would not have allowed some strange to walk inside the alley just like that.

It all made sense now. It was a trick. Trick to try and hack into his system. It felt weird to call it his system but then what else he could do...he was stuck with the system for his life.

He decided to head home instead and not look out but as soon as he turned around, he was hit by a wave making him trip on his step and fall down.

He..he was being attacked and Cole could not feel any more in danger than this. He quickly got up in the speed of air and flipped his forefinger upwards of his right hand in the air hitting the wave back to where it came from.

He did not hear any sound of someone falling down or hitting...maybe they escaped. But now Cole got into his ultra shield motion and in his mind, he concentrated as he circled a hunch of an electromagnetic wave around his entire state like a protection shield.

Any waves other than the ultraviolet waves would not be able to penetrate it. His eyes shone a deep blue as he ran his vision in every nook and corner of the street.

If it were to be some normal intruder, his vision would have got ahold of it and it could not have escaped from his strike.

This one had to be someone a pro with wave usage and escaping his vision and still trying to hack into his system.

For the robot clearly said that his system was the best one and no one could penetrate it through.

As an elderly woman passed by, Cole restored his eyes to normal color and smiled at that old lady, Martha whom he knew. The woman smiled back and kept walking away.

When Cole turned back to business and saw another hit on his way, he slipped away from the position but then the strike passed by and would have hit the old woman if not for Cole running towards her and pushing her off it.

The old woman eyed him weirdly for doing that. Cole only shot his hands up in a surrendering manner.

"There was a bug...I had to get rid of it."

"Silly boy!!"

The old woman mouthed and walked away. Cole breathed in relief but then another strike was passed on to his way, it could not hit him for the electromagnetic wave encircling him.

"Whoever this is....come out and face me... Why hide there like a coward??"

Cole voiced out as he looked around. He wanted to see who this intruder was. It could be a state person or someone from the lab or one of those rivals wanting to get a hold of the vision system.

"You think yourself to be not a coward for running away from the sight of danger."

The voice of a woman said and Cole could not believe the fact that it was there when he was standing by the edge of the woods contemplating whether he should walk inside or not.

Instead of replying back, Cole tried to point out from which direction the voice came from and so he looked at the left corner, ten steps away from where he was standing.

Cole very slowly walked nearer trying to make no sound. He wanted to catch this intruder red-handed. It could be the same one as the one earlier trying to hack into his system.

The moment he was closer and he saw a red piece of cloth blowing in the air, she might have sensed his presence and in a blip, the woman ran away as fast as she could.

Cole too ran after her as he chased her out from the alley. She gave in extra speed and so did Cole as he increased his speed too.

They both diverted their path and the woman headed inside the woods instead of running in the open road and gaining attention.

Cole did not think twice before following her inside the woods either and once he did, he halted on his steps as he saw the woman disappear from his sight.

He gathered a zoomed vision of a ten-mile path ahead of him in every direction and yet there was no view of the woman. Where did she go?? He thought

She could not have run that fast now could she?? Ten miles was a long distance. He looked up in the trees but there was no sign either.

Maybe..maybe she took a different path and he lost her. But it was so important for him to catch her and ask her why she was trying to hack in, who sent her if she belonged from the state or the lab??

Cole ran his fingers on his hairs, pulling it frustrated. And then it struck his mind that he was where those hollow circular creatures got onside a long time ago.

Instead of pondering much, he walked further inside the woods looking out for those creepy creatures.

He set up the tracking footsteps on and then he could see the rolling signs on the ground.

He followed it, eyeing it attentively. He turned to look back as he saw how he was too much deep into the woods by then and it could be dawn any moment from now.

His mother must have been worried as he kept following the signs in. It had been a few more minutes past half an hour. He could not shake the thought of the woman and neither the creatures.

Where did it disappear to?? He thought

Did they go back from where they came from??

He stopped on his track when he saw a huge crater in the midst just a few steps away from where he was.

He immediately ran near to it and stopped when he got by the edge. It was a hundred meters in radius and the hole seemed so deep that he could not see the bottom of it.

Did those creepy creatures dug inside?? Perhaps the shaking of the ground had been the result of this huge hole in the middle of nowhere.

He roamed around in the circle and eyed it in awe of how big the hold was, how wide it was, and how deep it could be, he had no idea of it.

He pressed on the side of his forehead to click a few pictures as he needed to saw them to the robot once the system came alive in the evening.

Only if the system was alive, he could have known the depth of the hole top. It was just so strange. Did nobody notice it??

Such a big hole in the middle of the wood? But then nobody came inside the woods either so it made sense why nobody got to know about it either.

If those creatures did dig this hole then what were they trying to do?? What was their motive for getting inside the earth??

Those unanswered questions revolved around his mind as he decided to head home. He had a lot to talk about with the robot tonight.

Plus after the attack, he was not feeling any good either and so headed out of the woods. With slow normal steps, he remained in alert mode nevertheless.

As he got inside the house, as usual, his mother made him hear to an ear full of holdings for going out without informing her. Even though he told her that it would not happen again but his mother and him too knew that it was very unlikely.
