The Alpha King

Chapter 63 - 63

I watched with fire burning in my eyes as Cadmer slinked closer towards me. Sebastian was standing silently to the side, his knife now tucked away somewhere in his suit.

I noticed there were two more Spell casters with Killian, dressed in the same red robes they wore on the battlefield.

I still couldn't move. I still couldn't believe I was face to face with Cadmer. It didn't seem real. This isn't how it was meant to go. My heart continued to thud loudly as I grew more and more anxious.

"Victoria, it's been so long and I have missed you and our precious time together, alas we are together now." He said smiling his disgusting smile.

If I could, I would have spat on him. I looked down and noticed he was wearing gloves. Ha, I wonder how his bitten of finger was doing.

"I can see that fire burning in your eyes. You must be quiet shocked seeing me but remember I did tell you I would see you again and this is war." He took a step closer towards me and I tried so hard to move my muscle so that I could move back.

"Did you think I'd give you and your mutts a chance to recover? To gain your strength? This is real life my dear and in real life nothing ever goes the way you expect it to go." He took another step closer, so close that I could feel his hot breath fan my face.

"Now listen closely and I urge you to not underestimate me. I will release you and if you scream or mind link your mate I will kill your friend over here." I watched helplessly as his eyes glowed and then I felt my body slowly succumb to my control again.

It took every ounce of my self control to not fly at him and hurt him so badly but I remained standing still...for now.

"How did you even get in here and if you seriously think I give a flying fuck about Sebastian, you're in for a surprise." I spat, not understanding how he could just waltz into the castle this easily. Cadmer laughed whole heartedly and I wanted to knock his teeth out.

"Sebastian is the one that's been feeding us all the information we need. You see he realised that you mutts don't stand a chance and sided with the winning team...that and I promised to crown him King of whatever is rest of the werwolves. And you forget I have magic." He said as he wiggled his gloved fingers in my face.

"And for your friend, did I not say to not underestimate me? I meant your friend Killian over here." When I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion Cadmer noticed and laughed. Gesturing behind him, one of the Spell casters who was with him came forward.

She was beautiful with red fiery hair. It was brighter than her blood coloured robe. I knew she was powerful perhaps not as powerful as Cadmer but still powerful all the same. Her blue eyes shone as she silently laughed at me.

She moved towards were Killian was lying on the ground and placed her hands onto his gaping wound. I watched silently as my heart roared at me to move her away from him. How dare she touch him.

Her eyes glowed almost as bright as the moon on a clear sky and then I couldn't breath as I watched Killian's wound slowly begin to mend itself. The skin seemed to be closing almost as if invisible hands were sewing it back together.

I couldn't believe my eyes. She was healing him right in front of me. I watched transfixed as Kilinans chest began to rise and fall in slow steady breaths. His eyes were still closed.

"Ho-how...how did she bring him back to life?" I stuttered not caring if I sounded ridiculous. How is something like this even possible?

She chuckled and swivelled her head to look at me.

"I am powerful mutt but even I can not bring back someone from the dead. Your friend over here wasn't ever truly dead he was just wounded and poisoned." At my confused expression she pointed her head in the direction of Sebastian.

"His knife was laced with poison, Dragons Dew, it paralyses the body for a few hours and makes it seem as if someone truly has die-"

"Yes, yes it's all very clever now listen to me. You are going to lead me straight to Xavier. You are to alert him to our presence and tell him to come unarmed and alone or else I'll kill you and his Delta." Cadmer said sternly as clasped his hands together.

I was at a loss for words. He obviously wants Xavier to come down here so that he can try to kill him. How could I lure him here to his potential death? On the other hand how could I risk Killians life? But in the end Cadmer is going to kill all of us and Xavier is powerful and so am I, at least I think I could be. If I call him down here would we stand a chance of defeating Cadmer once and for all or will we all die?

Xavier doesn't need any weapons he is his own weapon.

He has his magic, the red haired woman's and the black haired Spell caster that hasn't said a word. Three powerful Spell casters and Sebastian against me and Xavier?

"And if I don't call him?" I retorted. I refuse to cower before him. He smirked evilly and said, "if you don't I'll kill Killian right now and cut you up into tiny pieces and go find your mutt myself."

I sneered at him and waited a moment before I stiffly nodded my head. Looking away from their glares I opened my mind link.

"Xavier," I only had to say his name and he was already replying.

"Victoria, where have you been? You can't keep on blocking me! We are under attack! The full force of the Spell Casters have just started attacking us. Why do you keep on doing this?!" He shouted loudly in my mind.

Everything was just happening way too fast. It felt like everything was spiralling out of control and I couldn't do a thing about it. It's like I can't even catch my breath.

It dawned on me then in the cold. The war is here. It's happening, right now and I couldn't wrap my mind around it. I thought I had more time but Cadmer was right this is real life and nothing goes the way you expect it to go.

I sucked in a deep breath and whispered to Xavier, "I'm with Cadmer and two other Spell Casters. Sebastian betrayed us and Killian almost died, he's unconscious." There was deadly silence and then he said, "send me your exact location, I'm coming."

"You have to come unarmed and alone. Cadmer said he'd kill me and Killian if you didn't."

"I will and if he so much as touches you I'm going to make it rain blood, " he vowed.

Our link went dead as he severed our connection.

"Did you make sure he's coming?" Cadmer said slyly as he folded his hands into his robes. The two other Spell Casters remained silent and I looked to make sure Killian is still breathing, thankfully he was.

"Yes," I ground out as I clenched my fists. Never mind Xavier shedding blood it's about time I get my own revenge on Cadmer.

I inhaled the cold frigid air and let it travel all the way down into my lungs and then I exhaled. Closing my eyes briefly I called on my wolf and instantly felt her come forth. She was furious and she wanted Cadmers head as much as I did and she and I we were going to get it.

The time has come and my destiny is about to unfold.
