The Alpha King
Chapter 64 - 64
I looked straight at Cadmer and he looked straight at me. I knew my eyes had turned light blue by now, my wolf was taking control of me and I let her. I welcomed her strength, her grace and her beauty.
We were not going to shift just yet, no that's for when things get really interesting. I could feel the red haired one watching me, they all were.
Perhaps they could see my deathly intent. I cracked my head to the side and let the animal in me truly show. They wanted to pick a fight with the dogs, well the Alpha bitch was here and she was going to make them pay.
Cadmer sneered at me and then everyone's eyes flickered behind me and I knew instantly Xavier had arrived. The sky visibly darkened as he gripped my waist tightly in his hand. He stood besides me now and my wolf despite everything purred.
Cadmer grinned and tilted his head. He snapped his fingers and the silent Spell Caster strode over to Sebastians unconscious form and yanked him up. Once he had Sebastian up he stood behind him and wrapped his thick muscular forearm around his throat. He had him in a tight choke hold.
I was loosing my control the more they toyed with me.
"If it isn't the King Alpha of the dogs himself!" Cadmer mocked as he took a step closer towards us. Xavier didn't say a word but I could feel his wrath seeping out of every pore on his body. His eyes were a lighter shade of blue than even mine. He was consumed with it, the blood lust.
The sky was darkening and the clouds were heavy with unshed tears. A storm was brewing in the heavens. It would be unleashed upon us all very soon.
"I have waited for this moment for longer than you can imagine. I must say it was difficult giving back your mate. We had much fun together. I practically loved our torture sessions. My favourite was when we would carve her skin up." His grin widened. He was baiting Xavier and I, trying to get a reaction out of us. Xaviers nostrils flared and his jaw tightened but still he remained silent.
"Silent are we, well no matter I didn't plan on chit chat anyway. Now Victoria darling, come here." Did he honestly think I would hand myself over to him.
His fingers twitched when he noticed I hadn't moved an inch and his eyes glowed. Of course he didn't, he was going to force me. I gasped as I felt his magic take control of my body once again.
I refuse to let him violate me any further! I ground my teeth as I pushed back and fought his magic off. Xavier gripped me to his side even tighter and I felt my claws extend as I fought even harder. Cadmer furrowed his eyebrows at me and I knew he tried to make me move as hard as he could but it just wasn't working.
I could feel his comrades silently judging him as I remained fixed in my position. I knew it wasn't just me fighting Cadmer's magic Xavier was helping me in some way as well.
"She isn't going anywhere." Xavier said deadly quiet besides me and we all heard it.
Cadmer looked furious and about ready to skin us alive. He ran his tongue over his teeth and then sneered, " come here or I'll kill Sebastian right now."
I was getting sick and tired of him threatening the life of my friend.
I ripped out of Xaviers hold and barred my fangs at him. He looked a little taken a back as I took a threatening step forward.
What was it the Moon Goddess had said? Oh yes, I remember now, she said I had great power and I plan on using it right now. To hell with training. I am sick and tired of living in fear and I am done with being afraid.
I vowed to make these Spell Caster pay. I vowed to make Cadmer pay. I vowed to protect the werwolves. I plan on keeping my vows.
I looked up and suddenly the rain poured down. Thunder rumbled angrily. I closed my eyes and reached deep down inside of me, the way I had practiced with Killian. I extended my awareness and looked and searched until I gripped onto what I wanted. I smiled as I took a hold of it. What a twisted and dark place it was. I gritted my teeth as I realised the one holding Killian was one of my tortures. He took pleasure in drowning me and he loved the sound of my silent screams.
I snapped my eyes open and looked directly at him. He was staring right back and then I thought of drowning. It felt as if you were choking but worse. I thought of the way the water fills your lungs and your body screams at you to come up, come up for air but you can't. You suffocate slowly, painfully then your body shuts down.
And then-
His body fell to the ground.
You die.
There was silence as his body fell down to the ground along with Killians. The red head snapped her eyes towards his dead body and then ran over to him. She screamed and touched his blue face. Well, I guess I just drowned her lover. What a shame.
"The next person to touch Killian will suffer the same fate."
Cadmer blinked as if he couldn't believe what I had just done.
I could fee Xaviers stare burning into my back as the rain continued to pour down.
"That's my girl." He said through our mind link. I would have grinned if Cadmer didn't shout in some foreign language out of the blue.
I watched as forms of red started to descend from the forest. Around two hundred Spell casters began walking out of the forest. Their hoods were all up and their magic made my nose twitch.
Cadmer turned around to look at us and laughed, "you're going to fucking die."
"We'll see about that," I sneered right back.
"We out number you a hundred to one." He laughed, he really loves to laugh. I wonder if he'll laugh when my claws are imbedded into his face.
"I've just called for reinforcements. It may take a couple of minutes. The rest of the warriors are neck deep into the fight. It's going to take some time for them to leave the fight and come down here. They are defending the castle walls. We're on our own." Xavier told me through our link.
"Together then."
"Together," he said as walked besides me.
The Spell Casters were all standing behind Cadmer now, silent as the dead. Cadmer looked at us as he walked backwards into the Spell Casters. They moved aside for him and then closed their little line. What a coward he was going to hide behind them. Why though? Did he really think we could defeat two hundred of them...by ourselves?
By the Moon, all we could do is defend ourselves for as long as it takes the reinforcements to get here. I noticed Killian twitch slightly and saw as his eyes began to open. He still remained lying on the ground and when he became fully conscious, he looked worriedly down at his closed wound. He blinked, still holding his chest he sat up slightly and looked around. When his eyes landed on the Spell casters and then Xavier and I, I knew he was slowly trying to piece everything together.
Xavier handed me something and when I saw it was my switch blades I silently thanked him. We will have to fight hand to hand for as long as we can and then unleash our wolves.
You may think it strange but in human form when we fight and get injured it's easier for our wolves to heal us and aid us but when we turn and they get injured it's harder for them to heal themselves and we could be disadvantaged in a fight if we can't use a limb. Our wolves need all four to fight and if one goes down we are screwed.
"Killian, leave immediately," Xavier said as he and I went back to back. He had two of the most beautiful gleaming swords in his hands. They looked as if they could cut though diamonds.
"Like hell, give me a weapon." He got up quickly and took of his soaked t-shirt. Xavier sighed but we both knew there was no way in hell Killian would walk away from a fight even if he did almost die only moment ago.
Xavier handed him a sword and together we faced the Spell casters. At once they took off their hoods and unsheathed their own swords. It was so synchronised I would have applauded if I wasn't going to tear through them.
The sky lit up as lightning began to ripple through the sky.
