The Demon Child - Awakening

Chapter 47 - 47 - Prima

We jumped off the mountain and went back into the forest, heading towards the Seatown. Sashal and I entered Prima not long after and were surprised at what we saw. The town was relatively clean but empty, not a person in sight. Some bronze metal poles were across the street with some sort of light emitting from the top of them. I walked up to one, and put my hand on the closest bronze pole, and I noticed something.

The poles were emitting energy very similar to my source of lightning, so I decided to experiment. Using very little source, I injected some of my lightning into the pole and looked at the top, it began to grow brighter, before it exploded.

I moved away, before going closer again to pick up some debris and saw that it was glass. Looking closer at the debris, I could also see some sort of bronze coloured coil and a base.

"Interesting, they have contained a power I have," I said before dropping the glass.

"I think this is called 'electricity', a relatively new invention which can be found at some places around Antral," Sashal replied.

"I see, but where is everybody? I heard that Prima was known for its fishing industry, so where are the people?"

"Probably evacuated, if so, why are we here?"

"Let's get searching for who we are supposed to meet,"

"Together?"

"Together."

Sashal and I began to walk around the deserted town, being careful of what's happening. I looked towards the flow of source, and it was all over the place like it was… teleported. The sources were all of the same colours, and going in the same direction. I looked at Sashals soul and began to speak.

"I know where he is, his source is, everywhere, but yet so compact," I said "it leaves an easy path to follow,"

"How do you know it's him?" Sashal asked me.

"I don't know, but someone I trusted did mention something like this, let's go." Sashal nodded and she followed my lead.

The man was wearing a freshly laundered suit, all in white wearing a black long sleeve top underneath it with a red tie. I summoned my chains and they tried to attack him, except he did something unexpected.

A portal appeared to the side of me and my chains hit me in the face before they were cut off. As any damage to my chains required a lot of strength, I wasn't worried much, but if they were damaged, I would experience tremendous pain, which I was experiencing at that moment.

I layed there on the floor screaming, Sashal coming to my side before looking at the person. I raised my hand and in my weakened state, I began to speak again.

"Sashal don't, he's the man we need to meet up with, he's the demon king's son," I knelt and so did she and we uttered the same words at the same time. "Forgive us for not knowing we were in the presence of the man who has royal blood, all hail prince Quinn Königshaus, the first son of the Gaze empire of Antral."

The man began to clap and in the simplest tone, he told us to stand up which we did and I met his gaze. His hair was platinum blonde, eyes a silver colour and a soul the colour of amber. I was in amazement, but then I bowed, showing him my neck.

"Forgive me for attacking you prince Quinn Königshaus, I'm sorry for my past deeds," I quickly spoke.

"It's fine," Quinn said, "why don't you take a seat, I would love to talk with the people who my father picked himself, the newly 'Chosen' duo,"

Sashal and I took a seat and both took a teacup and a holder. Sashal and I sipped our tea and savoured its flavour before Quinn began to speak.

"Dyestral Blutrot, the hybrid of a human and demon, and Sashal Leben, the only artificial that was grown from an infant," Quinn said in a calm tone.

"I have a question sir Königshaus, but could you tell us more about this mission?" I asked him.

"Of course, you see, it's on an island, and this will affect you drastically, but it has a ravine of Energy crystals, something you would get,"

Lightning crackled from my body, but I quickly calmed down and replied. "There were only three energy ravines ever, two in Antrite, which were destroyed by human hunger, and one in Antral which is not. Four thousand years ago, a man named Kendrick impaled himself with a crystal which made him immortal and his incarnate weapon a vanquisher of souls, he died a hundred years later, although he required an entire barrel full of them to gain that type of power"

"But you said he was immortal," Sashal replied.

"Immortal, but not invincible, he died of battle wounds, bleeding out, are you saying I can gain that kind of power?" I looked back at the young prince.

"Yes," Quinn replied "Another thing, is that my uncle is running this illegal project, evacuating Prima without permission, as well as using Gener's chimeras,"

I sighed. "Even after killing him and his son, that mans will still cause me grief,"

"I think that's all for now, and I think that its time to go, what would you say?" Quinn then got up and so did Sashal.

"I say, I have no use of arguing when are we leaving?"

"Right now."

Sashal and I followed Quinn halfway across Prima and arrived at a ship which we got on. After a short while, it began to set sail. Sashal and I were looking at the horizon and were ready, ready to vanquish him, the remainder of Gener's will.
