the demon grimaced in pain from the wound on its c.h.e.s.t before jumping back from nick and pulling out an object that looked like a flute and blew into it. a shrill note reverberated all over the battlefield and the demons all stopped whatever they were doing and retreated rapidly back into the portal leaving everyone who was fighting surprised for a moment before they quickly took advantage of their enemies turning their backs to devastate the demons numbers.

meanwhile nick was shocked at the demon signaling the others to retreat. nick quickly realized that his opponent intended to escape and he found this to be unacceptable so he launched himself at the demon viciously but alas it was not to be. Before nick could reach the demon he pulled out a scroll of translocation and tore it apart. the demon vanished from were he was and appeared next to the portal a few moments later then entered the portal which closed behind him. needless to say nick was pissed. seemingly having lost his mind nick took out his anger on the nearby corpses or those unfortunate enough the still be clinging to life. the other people in the area decided to wisely turn the other way to nicks rampage. after about an hour nick calmed down before charging into his swamp quickly vanishing into the fog out of the other peoples sight who sighed in relief. nick entered his house and slammed the door before entering a body refinement frenzy as he rapidly forged his body without care at the cost boosting his cultivation into the copper tier causing his body to be impervious to weapons below tier 4. twelve days have passed while nick was cultivating giving he just enough time to get ready to attend classes in a day. on this day nick finally left his house his body having taken on a slight copper tinge while his aura was more orderly as a result of his body not having so much strain on it, the reason is simply because nick was not born with his bloodlines as a result there was a sort of disharmony as his body simply wasn't designed to hold the bloodlines, this was solved with nick refining his body so much. the disunity from before had prevented nick from truly wielding their power. nick stretched his stiff body causing loud cracking sounds from the pressure his movements caused on the surrounding air. lo mia arrived at nicks sanctuary with an old man with golden eyes , none other than old sun. in truth nick knew of their arrival immediately but chose not to greet them since they had come on their accords. "a remarkable place you've made for yourself here young fellow." old sun said as he breathed in with a look of comfort. "how much better is it to cultivate in this environment two three times?" old sun asked while motioning to the air around him. nick thought for a moment before answering "from my own experience should be right at six times more effective." he says decisively. old sun nods in understanding. "i can tell that while low in tier this array is based on an unheard of principle, not even i can replicate this array at a higher tier since besides knowing what the principle does i have no clue how it does it. truly remarkable." old sun says impressed. nick nods at the observation "i'm guessing you aren't here to admire my living space though am i right"? nick questions knowingly.
