The Devil's Curse
Chapter 10:Demon Town
"Oh? An unusual visitor. Belphegor, you rarely visit. What made you come here today?" A modulated voice ran out.
A figure appeared at the doorway. A slender figure dressed in black.
"Hello, Raikou. I was meaning to ask, did Kurushimi pass by here a while ago?"
"Hey, Belphegor. I thought whoever is in Raikou's presence, will die because of her death power." Ava whispered.
"Nope. She only uses her death power to kill the ones she doesn't like. And I also put a barrier over you two to make sure you guys don't die." Belphegor replied in a hushed voice.
That would explain why we're still alive.
"Alright, if you are done I need to go back to finish my business. I still need to hunt down a few more rogue demons and torture them. Bye." Raikou turned around and walked down the hallway.
"No wonder they call you Tortura-chan."
Ava Russell
Ughh. This is shitty. All we did was sneak and hide around. We didn't get into any fights. This is so fucking boring. *Sigh.*
"Well, I guess we can't find Kurushimi anywhere."
"Huh, what?" I asked.
"Ava, were you even listening? I said that since Kurushimi isn't here, he might be in town," Heather said.
Oh, whoops. "Nope, I was thinking about how boring this trip is," I replied. "Also, how are you sure he's in the town?"
"We're not. But we need to check there. I disagree with you though. Don't you think this is fun?" Belphegor smiled.
"Yea... NO FUCKING WAY. This is so boring. I wanna fight someone."
"You're really like Asmodeus. Except he's more violent. If I were to speak, you would be the best couple."
"If you're gonna keep on bothering me about how violent I am, I will happily use my gun or grenade on you!"
"What's 'grenade' and 'gun'?" Belphegor asked, confused.
"They're weapons that can injure someone," Heather answered. "Kill even. But it's more likely to kill."
"Oh. Then little miss shouldn't carry that kind of stuff. You're most likely going to use it 'accidentally' on someone who did nothing," Belphegor states.
"What ever could you mean!?" I asked.
"Actually, I have to agree. Ava, you're too violent. So what Belphegor is saying is true. Also, we need to go to town to get more food. We're running out. I only have 2 days worth of food left," Heather replied.
"Wait, what?! They can actually grow food down here!?" I exclaimed.
"No duh. If there is no food down here, what do we eat to survive. Thick-headed girl," Belphegor blatantly said. "Get it through your thick head."
"Okay. Fine. Wait, did you just call me stupid???" I yelled.
"No, I most definitely didn't. I called you stupid in a different and nicer way." Belphegor responded.
"Belphegor, you don't have to be so nice. You can just call her stupid or idiot," Heather laughed.
"You guys are all so mean," I said.
"Ah, we're here," Heather stated.
It was really lively. There were little demon kids playing around while their moms called out, "Be careful!" Lots of people are chatting and buying things. Street vendors called out, "Come here to buy some magic pills! They can enhance your magic! Only 1 gold!" or "Do you guys want some fresh apples?", etc.
"DON'T, I repeat, DON'T take off your cloaks. If demons find out you guys are human, all of them will be on your trails for years," Belphegor warned.
"Okay," we answered.
"Excuse me," Belphegor asked the street vendor that was shouting "Buy some magic pills", "Did the demon lord Kurushimi come here?"
"Oh yes, he did. He came here a day ago to buy some magic pills to enhance his magic. He also helped a few sick orphan children. The Lord Kurushimi really is wonderful! He helps sick children, takes care of them, and gives money to the poor!" The vendor heartily laughed. "What do you need him for?"
"I need to ask him something. Thank you. Do you know where he might be now?" Belphegor responded.
"You're welcome. He went back to his castle. While you're here, do you want some magic pills?" The street vendor offered. "They are only a gold coin!"
"No thanks." Belphegor turned around. "Ah, I forgot! I pretty sure you don't have any demon currency! Hold on." He gave us a bag of gold coins.
"Thank you, Belphegor. You've helped us a lot of times now." Heather gratefully said.
"You're welcome. But I have to thank you for letting me go on this journey with you. I was always bored in my castle. Asmodeus is violent so he fights to get rid of his boredom. Raikou is called Tortura-chan, because she's very statistical. She is in charge of torturing and killing anyone that causes harm here. Just because we're demons doesn't mean that have to be evil. Most of us are peaceful." Belphegor explained. "Actually Kurushimi isn't one to travel a lot, he must have needed something."
