The Devil's Curse

Chapter 8:Visit

-------A few days later-------

Ava Russell

Just a few miles left. Finally! It's been so boring. In the 4 days we were down here, not a single monster came anywhere close. All I see is a barren wasteland. This is so motherfucking boring! I need to keep my skills sharp! Hold on a sec. Is Heather keeping up? I turned around. Wow! She has so much stamina! I didn't know that. Well, considering that I don't take any class at all, I wouldn't know much about how smart or athletic she is. Only she is a rare genius.

"Ava, what?" I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Huh?"

"You've been staring at me for a while now." Heather replied.

"Oh. I was just thinking about stuff."

"Mmm-hmm. Okay. Well, at least now I know you still have a brain that operates. According to the map, we still have 5 miles left. We'll probably get there in around a hour." Heather said as she studied the map.

"Why are humans down here? I wonder..." A mysterious voice suddenly appeared.

Then a blur, and BAM... there was a demon.

"Motherfucking Jesus!!! Who the fuck are you!?'' I asked.

"Well, even though it upsets me greatly that I have to introduce myself to a person with such rude manners, I am the Demon Lord Belphegor, the demon of dark future and pathways." Belphegor replied.

"Oh…" My face paled as I turned around and screamed, "RUN!"

Heather reacted instantly and turned towards the opposite direction. And in the process of that... Belphegor used one of his many special abilities to transport himself to appear in front of Heather.

Belphegor asked, "Why are you running away from me, if I may ask?"

"We're humans and you're a demon lord! Why would we not run?! We'll become food if we don't! And... How come YOU get to fly?" I screamed.

"Because I'm a demon. And I feel that the need to walk with such slow humans is against my moral. So I fly."

Argh. This fucking demon lord is annoying. And with that I sent a flying kick towards his shitty face.

"Ow!" Belphegor cried. "Little miss is really violent!"

"Oh! I'm sooo, so sorry. But, that's what I do. Dumbass! Heather, start running towards our destination quickly!"

"Got it!" Heather turned and started running again. "Wow! For the first time, your violent nature actually helped!"

Heather turned around and screamed, "OH SH-." She instantly covered her mouth. "He's behind us!"

"Hahaha! Yes! Heather just cursed. I feel so lucky to be the one person to hear Heather curse!"

"You didn't hear that."

"Yes I did."

"But I didn't say it. I stopped myself just in time."

"Is little miss usually this violent?"

Heather and I turned around. "GYAH! When did you get behind us?"

Belphegor tilted his head. "I was behind you guys this whole time, you just never noticed. Your little human brains are playing tricks. Add it with your eyes, an illusion was created."

"Stalker! Ava, run faster!" Heather screamed.

"Where are you guys going?" Belphegor asked, while easily keeping pace with us.

"None of your business!" I replied.

"Little miss, it seems you have the curse of Kurushimi. I'm assuming you're going to Kurushimi's castle to get Kurushimi to reverse the curse. But if you want to go there, then you're going in the wrong direction. You're going towards my castle. Kurushimi's castle is in the opposite direction." Belphegor stated.

"WHAT!" Heather checked the "well-drawn" map.

"No, no. Turn the map upside down." Belphegor said. "Yes, that's correct."

Wait, hold on. Since it took 150 miles to walk here, doesn't that mean we have to walk 150 miles back and then another 150 miles to get to Kurushimi's castle? We take 1 hour to walk 2 miles. 150 hours. "ARGH! DAMN IT! Doesn't that mean we have to take another week to get to Kurushimi's castle?" I shouted.

"Yes!" Belphegor smiled.

"Why are you laughing!" I cried. A foot lurched forward and went towards Belphegor's face.

"OW! Why is little miss so violent? I was just trying to give you directions!" Belphegor cried.

"First of all, my name is Ava, not little miss. My friend is called Heather. And I'm pissed since we took around half a week to walk all the way here, just to find out that we have to go all the way back! Who wouldn't be mad?" I screamed.

"Ava, calm down." Heather said. "Let's go back and continue on to find Kurushimi."

"Can I go with you, please? Being a demon lord is boring. All I can do is wander around. I will be useful to you. I'm stronger than Kurushimi, since I'm a actual demon. Kurushimi became a demon because of his hatred. Normally, he should be really weak demon. But because he killed his whole village, he devoured all of their souls which made him a demon with powers equal to a demon lord. So, in short, I want to go with you." Belphegor pouted.

"Alright, no harm can be taken anyways." Heather replied.

"Yay!" Belphegor cheered. "Let's go. Both of you, hold on."

"Hold on? To what?" Heather asked.

"My hand. I'm not taking the time to walk there. We're flying there!" Belphegor cheerfully replied. "Alright, let's go."

"Holy motherfucking shit Jesus!" Ava screamed.
