## Chapter 2725: The Flayed King's Court and the Bone Lord

“The ancient prophecy confirms that you have come to crown me, is it not? I have finally gained the favor of the Crimson God, and soon I shall conquer all the unblessed in the name of the Crimson God!”

Soshian stopped in his tracks, gazing at the Necron Overlord. Initially, he thought this was normal.

But now it seemed that it was not.

Seeing him halt, the Necron Overlord slowly stood up and took a few steps forward.

“Emissary of Grace, why do you stop? Did you not arrive to bestow blessings upon me? I am the Lost Lord, Valgûl! My subjects offer tribute and gifts to the Crimson God day and night. For a long, long time, I have led them, commanded them, and redeemed them, all because I deeply know that the blessings of the Crimson God will surely descend!”

Soshian wasn't quite sure how he appeared in the other's eyes, but it certainly wasn't human. However, he had heard of Valgûl's name, as the Harlequins' records of the Necron dynasties mentioned him—the overlord of Drazak, the Flayer King, and the only “sane” being in this dynasty utterly consumed by the Flayer curse.

According to the intelligence, this tomb world was once part of a certain dynasty, but at some point, all the Necrons in the tomb were infected and became Flayers. Only Valgûl was “immune” to the Flayer virus and ruled this kingdom of madmen. The Aletoch Craftworld had actually fought with him. They had once “captured” Flayers from Drazak, intending to throw them into other Necron tombs. According to them, although Valgûl showed no signs of being infected by the Flayer virus, a normal Necron would never want to stay with delusional infected individuals. In other words, Valgûl's sanity was only superficial.

That is to say, Soshian himself was now standing in the most remote northeastern corner of the galaxy, in the area known as the Ghoul Stars.

Well, this was far enough.

But since he had come all this way, Soshian didn't plan to return empty-handed. As for how to get back, he could figure that out later.

Then, he slowly said:

“I am not an Emissary of Grace.”

“What?”

“I am the Crimson God, I am Rhandu Ghol!”

The ‘sane’ Valgûl, upon hearing this, immediately swung his weapon, slamming it heavily on the ground, creating a violent collision sound.

“False believer! Liar! Scoundrel! My generals, arrest this babbling thing!”

Hearing the overlord's voice, the dozen or so exceptionally large Flayers immediately stood up, screaming and howling angrily, roaring incomprehensible words, extending their long, sharp, finger-blades, ready to disembowel the enemy.

However, in the next moment, they all stopped, their claws frozen in place.

Finally, they all knelt down, trembling like small animals seeing a predator.

Soshian chuckled softly, looking at the overlord whose arms were trembling.

“Since you want blessings so much, then I shall grant them to you.”

In the next second, he disappeared from the spot, transforming into a roaring cloud of blood. The intense airflow even tore apart the massive flesh idol. Dozens of tons of flesh and bones were swept into the air, turning into a roaring face, which then swallowed the overlord, who was screaming and raising his blade.

Seconds later, torrential blood rain splattered everywhere in the temple and on the Flayers, causing them to pray incessantly, and the red mist emanating from them gathered towards the high throne.

Soshian, holding the overlord's head, pressed him onto the throne. The overlord struggled weakly, his claws only able to make a series of ear-piercing scraping sounds on Soshian's armor. Then, he smiled and held the skull goblet in front of the other.

A wisp of red mist then drilled into the overlord's eye sockets, quickly dyeing his eyes red.

When Soshian released his hand and stepped back, the former Lost Lord prostrated on the ground, his body undergoing intense changes. This was also Soshian's first active “infection” of a Necron, and he even invested more into it. Perhaps this would divert some of his power, but it was also a strategy of his, as he was always concerned about the growing threat of the Warp.

Soshian was probably the first human to witness the birth of a Flayer, which was somewhat similar to Chaos mutation, just not as drastic. Valgûl's metal body began to swell, sharp spines appeared on his back, his limbs became thicker, his arms became longer, and his face changed from a near-human form to a more bestial appearance. Inside his opened mouth, sharp metal spikes slowly grew out, quickly occupying his entire mouth.

Finally, after a painful transformation, a Valgûl, twice as large as before, appeared.

He knelt before Soshian, his crimson eyes changing from dim to bright, like burning coals, and a sharp sound came from his trembling jaw.

“Thank you, my Lord, for your blessings. Please forgive my previous offense.”

However, Valgûl's voice not only did not become mad, but became clearer, but in a sense, he had completely gone mad.

Now, in his eyes, Soshian had become the true Rhandu Ghol, and he himself was a Necron who had regained flesh and blood and obtained eternal life. His subjects were all “revived” and cheering in the magnificent hall, cheering for the revival of Drazak, cheering for the arrival of their god.

Soshian nodded slightly. He didn't know how the other saw it, but at least this overlord had submitted, which meant he controlled a Necron dynasty.

“I do not care about such trivial matters, Valgûl. I only value your piety.”

Valgûl quickly raised his scepter.

“The people of Drazak will conquer the stars and all unbelievers for you!”

“Then, do you know that other Necron dynasties have betrayed me?”

Hearing Soshian say this, Valgûl immediately gritted his teeth and growled:

“Ah! Yes! Those traitors! Those who have abandoned even their souls and bodies, they are not worthy of being Necrons! They have become the dogs and servants of the evil gods. Drazak will wage a holy war to the death with these blasphemers!”

Soshian was a little confused. He asked this question to test how much of this guy's memory was retained, but he didn't expect such an answer. However, he guessed that the evil gods in this person's mouth were referring to other Star Gods.

But since he was here, he could only play along.

“Besides my fallen brothers, there are now many evils in the galaxy, especially the destructive powers in the highest heavens. These are also great enemies. The future will be a difficult path filled with war, but do not worry, I will guide more believers to Drazak. Valgûl, you must train them, arm them, and build an invincible holy war army, and you will be the ruler of this court, my Bone Lord, my blade, and my apostle.”

Valgûl excitedly shrank at Soshian's feet.

“Receiving divine grace, I will die a thousand times without regret!”
