The Fallen Consort

"Please accept my sincere respect Master Yi." Haoran bowed down to Yi Ling. He wasn't human so he didn't need to kowtow.

"It is my honor to serve you Master." Haoran may have not liked it before, but now he was utterly sincere. It really was a great honor to serve the Goddess. He believes what Mu Xin had said to him was the truth, Only the Goddess can grow the Eternal Oak.

"En". Yi Ling nodded and looked at Mu Xin. How come Haoran was being polite. She had thought that it might take a while to convince this tree.

"So, how can Haoran help you fix the bow?" Yi Ling had been eager to use her bow, she just didn't have the time to find a suitable blacksmith. Why didn't Mu Xin tell her about it?

"You need to plant this tree parallel to Linyu, so they don't fight for the energy around them. And you were busy, I didn't wanna bother you". Mu Xin shrugged his shoulders. He read Yi Ling's expression, he was getting good with it.

"hmm. How do I plant him?" Yi Ling looked at Haoran. He was looking at the both of them.

"Master, Just tell me the location and I will plant myself." Haoran looked excited. Even though he wouldn't be able to stay next to the Eternal Oak, his Green Viridis Tree will still face it.

The trio went towards the other end of the pond and let Haoran to plant himself there. Haoran changed himself to his original body, his roots burrowed underneath the soil. The Green Viridis Tree wasn't as tall as majestic as the Eternal Oak, but he wasn't an ordinary tree either. A slight tremor can be felt as the roots go down the ground.

With this tremor, The Eternal Oak sense the changes in the soil. It sent a signal to Linyu that someone was touching his roots. It was the roots of the Green Viridis Tree. Haoran was purposely connecting his roots to Linyu.

Linyu woke up from his stupor and dashed towards his Master's Chamber. Time was essential. Tefei chuckled when he saw Linyu ran past him, he didn't bother to stop the guy.

He and Linyu had been friends for a long time, They had been friends when the Eternal Oak gained a spirit. When their past master died, Linyu was still a seed and Tefei was heavy wounded. It wasn't until the Blue Rose Palace was made, where he started recuperating and Linyu to start germinating.

Even though he was friends with linyu, He too had his own secrets that he couldn't tell. It wasn't Jin Meiling who built the Blue Rose Palace, It was Mu Xin. Mu Xin made the Ring to act as a pledge of his love for her. Tefei shook his and sighed. All their lives was tangled together.

After Haoran had settled in, Linyu came running to his master.

"Master! What's going on?! Why is Haoran here in the Palace!?" Linyu was puzzled, he couldn't recall anything that happened after the kiss.

"He is now your comrade Yu'er and your neighbor." Yi Ling tried her best not to laugh. She pinched arm to do so.

Mu Xin saw Yi Ling's actions, he didn't like seeing her hurt herself. He grabbed her hand and left the two tree to settle their issues themselves.

Linyu stared at the small Green Viridis Tree, How dare he intertwined their roots together!? Is he trying to screw with me!?

Linyu went towards Haoran's bark and started kicking the tree.

"Come out there you bastard! I know you're there! How dare you touch my roots!? Did you lose your mind!?" Linyu was infuriated. He didn't even got the chance to get mad about their kiss and now this!?

Haoran didn't dare get out, he wasn't ready to face the King's fury. He endured Linyu's kicks until he vented all his anger out. If this is all it takes for his King to acknowledge him as a partner, so then be it!

Yi Ling silently followed Mu Xin towards the East Courtyard. Mu Xin stopped in front of her flower garden.

"Mu Xin?" Yi Ling whispered to him, his back was facing her. She didn't know why was she being dragged here.

Mu Xin slowly turned towards Yi Ling, his hand never left hers. The wind softly blew Mu Xin's hair. He looked like a magical being, she thought.

"Ling'er, I have something to confess." Though there are certain things that needs to be kept as a secret, he didn't want to hide everything to her. Sooner or later, she would remember her past. It was better to let it come out from him rather than waiting.
