The Fallen Consort

By the time Yi Ling and Jin Minzhe reached their destination. Haoran and Xiang He had just finished explaining things to them.

Yi Ling planned to gave them a different tasks along with Linyu's party. Aside from the Burdened Forest , next to it was a low spiritual beast territory named Goblin Forest. She wanted to send them in a two-man team. One from Haoran's and one from Linyu's. This way, the weaker ones has a guard along with them.

Haoran had to talked to his group personally to check their cultivation status. Since he was in Sainthood Stage, it was easy for him to determine their level. After explaining the basic information regarding the sect, he told them their task.

"You will pair up with one of Elder Linyu's Group from earlier. You are free to choose you teammate. I will you give tokens. Once you have a partner, Elder Linyu will give you your test." Haoran looked at everyone, making sure they understood. Xiang He was silently standing behind him. He didn't wore a mask, so everyone recognized the Emperor of Xiang Kingdom. For those who didn't knew and who came from the low-rank kingdoms, they were informed by the ones who recognized him.

When Yi Ling and Jin Minzhe came, Minzhe was already in his ȧduŀt form. Seeing the same purple robe man came back, they got nervous. He emitted a dominating aura that makes one jittery. Along with him was another masked man, a bit younger at that.

When Haoran and Xiang He noticed the two, they both bowed to Yi Ling. Even though Haoran doesn't listen to Yi Ling's Commands, he still respected the lady. Especially since she was his king's master.

"Let's go." Yi Ling's deep manly voice permitted the area. She turned and left along with Minzhe.

Haoran and Xiang He followed, as well as the crowd. When they got there, Linyu was waiting for them already. Linyu bowed towards Yi Ling and said.

"Master, I have finished my task."

"En." Yi Ling looked at both crowds. It was much better guiding the younger and weaker ones than the arrogant and strong ones. Along on Haoran's group, she noticed a familiar face. It was Mo Tian.

Mo Tian had been quite this whole time. When he saw Linyu earlier, he couldn't even say anything when Haoran already dragged him away. Well technically, he followed willingly. Point was, he had finally found the two and it seems like he was right before. This young man indeed have a higher status than Elder Linyu. While he was thinking of a way to talk to them, he didn't noticed that Yi Ling was looking at him.

Although they had a brief interaction, Yi Ling didn't felt any bad connection with Mo Tian. I guess he got stronger now than the last time I saw him. She rubbed his chin. Jin Minzhe, who was always observing his mother looked at the direction she was looking. When he saw a young man, his brows furrowed.

"Since everyone is here, You may choose your partner now. After choosing, exchange your tokens and write your name on your partner's token. This way, it'll form as a bond for both of you." Linyu ordered the two groups to start.

"Yes, master?"

"Bring Mo Tian here."

"It shall be done." Linyu bowed and left. He did notice Mo Tian earlier but it didn't mattered to him. They were just acquaintances anyways. If his master acknowledge his presence, then that'll be it. If not, it won't bother him at all. He walked towards Mo Tian and saw him talking to someone. Mo Tian was trying to gain a partner by getting to know him. They were about to reach an agreement when he saw Elder Linyu coming over. His eyes got excited.

"Elder Linyu!" He clasped his fist and bowed. His partner followed along and bowed.

"En. Have you got a partner?" Linyu looked at the person standing beside Mo Tian. It was a young man on 3rd rank of Qi Cultivation Stage. He was one of the weaker ones who fainted.

"En. This is Bai Zinghe." Mo Tian patted Bai Zinghe's shoulder.

He blushed. He was always timid and shy. He also came from Feng Kingdom like Mo Tian. But his family was not as noble as Mo Tian. Mo Tian doesn't know him but he knew Mo Tian well. After the commotion that the Mo Family brought all over the low-ranked kingdom, It gained them fame. Especially Mo Tian. He was kinda like his idol in a sense. He too, like studying medicine. Unfortunately, his family couldn't afford such luxury.

"I see. My Master wants to talk to you. You may bring Bai Zinghe along." Without waiting for a reply, he turned and went back where Yi Ling was standing.

Mo Tian's eyes was literally glittering. He really couldn't believe his luck! He patted the shy Bai Zinghe and followed Elder Linyu. Seeing that he got invited as well , Bai Zinghe followed him like a tail.
