Two days later,

Edwin retains his consciousness, but he found himself locked up in jail. He was alone in the cell. A guard saw that Edwin is awake, he sent a summoning to David.

David arrived and talked with Edwin. He asked David why did he end up being in jail. What did he do? David told him to be patient and listen to him carefully. Confused and stressed Edwin, agreed to that and sat down quietly. As he settles down, David asked Edwin that did he remember what happened before he lost consciousness. Edwin answered that he and Kaite were fighting against a man named Emil Isakov. In addition to that, he also explained how did they all get dragged into it. David listened to everything carefully and understood each thing that Edwin spoke.

Later, David asked Edwin how did Edwin get burning patches on his hands and under the eyes. When Edwin and Katie were fighting against Emil, the surge of power came out of nowhere. He lost control of his anger, and it results that he didn't remember anything of it. Edwin tried to think about it, picture it but, that never happened. So, he told David that he doesn't know anything now. During the discussion, Edwin asked David about Chad and other seniors. And also about Emil. He came to know that except for Freya, everyone is doing well. Freya is still under treatment, and Emil ran away. Not only that Emil, managed to knock off the pursuit units.

David guessed that if Edwin doesn't even remember the actions he took during that period. He probably doesn't know about that blade either. So, David didn't ask. However, to Edwin, the reason is not yet transparent why did he be in jail. He asked David regarding it. David explained to him that the group of Chad told them everything that happened over there. And also, Emil is after Hiddenite. However, the higher-ups couldn't believe that the criminal of that caliber would try to get Hiddenite. They know that it is of no use in magic or anything necessary. So, how could they trust Edwin?

Again, Edwin asked David that it is true. Emil was after Hiddenite. David informed him that as higher-ups Chad, Dean, and Katie believed that too. But those three blamed you, Edwin. Those three have no doubts that Emil was after him. Because of that power, Edwin had demonstrated. Listening to that, Edwin got confused and angry. He didn't get if why do they criticize him. Except for Freya, everyone gave testimony against Edwin. David is telling this all to Edwin. And this is the reason he is in jail now. The jurisdiction didn't issue any order upon that. But, tomorrow morning Edwin, will face the authority for justice. The jurisdiction wants to listen to what Edwin has to say. Then they will give their final decision.

It made Edwin insane. He remained silent and having negative thoughts, and questioning himself. Why did they do this? While leaving, David told Edwin that whatever happens during jurisdiction, speak only the truth. David says he believes in Edwin. All night long, he didn't sleep and trying to think about the past incident over and over.

The next day, the jurisdiction summoned Edwin to listen to his side of the story. As instructed by David, he spoke the truth and told them everything from beginning to end. Edwin mentioned that Emil was after Hiddenite, and he doesn't know or understand what happened to his hands. Katie, Chad, Dean, David, faction leaders, mages, and some other important people were present there in the hearing. They also listened to Edwin's side of the story. Edwin looked towards Chad and others, and he was crying. Sobbing, he told jurisdiction that he did it to save Kaite. Emil was beating Katie mercilessly.

All he wanted to do is save Katie and his friends (Edwin considered all four of them as his friends during the camp). Again, Edwin told them he couldn't withstand that someone is beating his friends with intent to kill. And, what if that power suddenly emerged from the inside of me. At least, for now, they are saved. Edwin expressed that he is happy about that. One of the mages approached Edwin and used a spell. Elder Mage's spell revealed that Edwin is speaking the truth. However, it is beyond understanding that a man like Emil would attack for the possession of Hiddenite. Elder Mage is also suspicious about Edwin's power.

Even his spell fails to reveal the nature or source of Edwin's power. Taking that into consideration, people are chanting for the death sentence for Edwin. Because they still believe that Edwin is a threat. Whoever sent Emil here in the Pisces Kingdom must've known about him. If this person gets Edwin's power, then it will only cause harm to people living here. When Edwin heard that, he felt terrible fear and panic. On the other hand, shaking Edwin is trying to convince the jury that he is not a threat. In all that matter, someone from the people jumped on Edwin and started beating him till Edwin bleeds.

Even after Edwin started bleeding, he continued hitting him. Edwin saw the person who is beating him as none other than Brock Hamilton. He was a Kezar rank warrior of the first division. All of a sudden, the crowd gets silenced. After two/three more hits, they asked Brock to stop it. When he was beating Edwin, no one dared to interrupt him. The jury asked the reason for Brock's action. He explained that all people here want him dead anyway, so why don't I kill him right here on the spot. What if the guy who sent Emil here wants the very same thing. Who knows from where this power inside this kid came. But, if that power is capable of making Emil retreat in an instant. Don't you all agree that it is maybe beneficial to us, to our kingdom?

Brock went overboard and requested to the jury that if they fear Edwin's power, then he can take him in his unit. And train him after Edwin gets the rank of Ar. Also, Brock made it clear that if he felt that Edwin is a threat to the people of Pisces, then without hesitation, he will kill him. Listening to such bold thoughts and statements Brock made, The jury and mages started discussing it. Edwin is still tied in ropes during all of that in the courtroom. Finally, the authority made the decision. It said that right now, they order to free Edwin and give him treatment. He will complete his education till he gets the rank of Ar.

After that, Captain Brock will take him as his subordinate. In that period, Edwin will be in prohibition, and it is that he stays inside the kingdom all this time. And lastly, if he tends towards opposite of people's welfare. Brock is given advanced order to take care of that. On this decision, everybody agreed. David kept silent from beginning to end. Later, when the jury left, medics took Edwin for treatment. He fell unconscious again. David caught up to Brock for a small discussion.

First, David thanked Brock for saving Edwin. He told him that his action relieved David too much. David was worrying so much about Edwin. In response to that, Brock told David that he saw some exceptional potential in Edwin. Brock believes in that as like David. He ȧssured David that everything would be fine after Edwin get the rank of Ar. It made David feel relaxed, and they both parted ways.

Brock Hamilton belongs to the royal family of Pisces kingdom. Before the democratic revolution took place, his family ruled there. He is twenty-two years old and the youngest Kezar of his generation. In simple words, Brock is an exceptional talent and one of the supreme knights of Pisces Kingdom. Right now, the people's leader rule over the Pisces Kingdom. But still, the Hamilton family is the strongest and has royalty over there. Brock has the mark of Pisces on his neck. It symbolizes that he is indeed an extraordinary warrior of Pisces.

The medics treated Edwin. After few hours, he woke up in the town's hospital. Nearby him, he saw one girl talking with officers. He was slowly gaining consciousness, and the very first thing he noticed that he is in hospital. That girl was Myra Rees. She is the one who found Edwin lying in the forest eight years ago. She remembered and knew about Edwin.

Myra Rees is the newest recruit in the unit of Brock Hamilton. By his order, she came with her team to watch over him till he recovers. Edwin didn't recognize that she is Myra. The girl who saved his life and the very first person he met in this world. Edwin woke up. And he sits with his hand on his head. The beating from Brock, still aching his body.
