The Nemesis

Tia versus Ashley, the match begins.

Ashley utilized her psychic power for defense. Tia used physical attacks, incantation magic, and element magic over and over. Her defending ability is too strong, as Tia drained out of stamina in time. Ashley won.

The first phase of the Ar test is over. Proctor announced that in the evening, the ceremony for the faction is taking place. At the same time, the qualified people receive the badge of rank. The spectators are leaving the arena.

Later, old man Murphy went to visit Edwin. First, Murphy checked if Edwin was okay. The medics informed him that Edwin's injuries were minor, and he already left a while ago. Murphy went home after that. When he arrived there, Edwin was there, waiting for him. Murphy asked him that why Edwin didn't go back to the arena if Edwin felt good. Murphy told him that he is wrong. Ashley used her power perfectly, and she needs more training to make that power more effective. And Ashley won the match, told Murphy. Edwin admitted that he underestimated the psychic abilities, and he asked Murphy how that happened. Murphy described that fight to Edwin.

Edwin couldn't believe that a girl like Ashley managed to pull it off against an opponent like Tia. In the academy, Ashley never used her power. Murphy told Edwin that some people already believe in their abilities, and they don't need to show off or prove to anyone that they are powerful. Unlike you, you show off Edwin. Edwin said alright. He asked Murphy about Edwin's battle against Khors.

Murphy admitted that he was sure that Khors would win from the beginning. But Edwin surprised him. Edwin asked Murphy that is making fun of him? Murphy told Edwin that he is joking, and of course, he believed that his boy Edwin would win. Honestly, at some points, Murphy thought Edwin would lose. Murphy asked Edwin when did he learn such moves. Edwin answered he used his thinking power against the physically overpowered person.

There he meets his classmates, the people who were not talking to him back then in the academy, suddenly speaking to him. Two of them congratulated Edwin. Later, he came across those four. Chad, Freya, Dean, and Katie. First, Edwin avoided to caught their attention. But Dean called him. Chad waved.

Edwin went to meet them. They greeted Edwin and congratulated him on his victory. With showing a smile, Edwin left. Dean informed his friends that Edwin was missing from the arena when the matches were going on. He showed up only for his. Chad asked Dean that what is he thinking? Is Edwin doing something suspicious? Freya admitted it is. Katie said, remember back then, we all caught up in the incident of Emil Isakov with him. It is roughly six months in the past. He was too weak to beat someone like Khors. Katie asked Dean if he remembers Khors was the one who gave him a hard time in combat training.

The ceremony begins.

For this ceremony, the King himself is present. With King, the elder Mages were also present. And some VIP's from the warrior division. The proctor from the first round made an announcement.

Proctor -> Based on the statistics of all 30 matches, we are awarding the rank of Ar to winners. We will call the names of the winners in order based on their performance. They must come forward and put their hands on this faction orb of the Elder Mage. They have to put their hand on that. The Elder mage would announce your class. The top 5 people would get a chance to go into another faction on the spot if they wish. Once the people went to their respective classes, it will never change.

There are four classes, namely, combat, sorcery, speed, and universal.

No. 1 -> Chad Barnes, the most skilled Ar this year. Without changing his option, he went to the sorcery class.

No. 2-> Freya Baxter, she went to the same.

No. 3 & No.4 -> Katie Lynn and Dean Cook joined the sorcery faction by changing their options.

No. 9-> Ashley, the psychic power user, is universal due to having power beyond incantation and elemental or divination. She went to the unit of Hamilton's.

No. 11-> Edwin, The average magic user but a skilled combatant belongs to a universal class. And in Hamilton's unit.

The announcer asked everyone to keep quiet. King verified the fact from the elder mage about it. When Edler mage decides, King said the faction orb is never wrong about the one's faction. So no more opposition we expect. Agreeing on King's order, they accepted Edwin as a universal class warrior.

Later, the rest of the warriors received the Ar rank and faction and went to the respective units. The ceremony is over.

Everyone is leaving the town hall. Bruce called Edwin to meet. Bruce said that he is impressed by the performance of Edwin in the first round. Bruce introduced himself to Edwin. He told Edwin that he is a subordinate of Myra. Edwin asked Bruce where she is?

(Myra went to some urgent mission on the order of Brock Hamilton.)

Bruce told Edwin that Myra went on a mission. She may or may not be back during the second round. She gave a message to Edwin. Bruce told Edwin that Myra asked Edwin to train with more intensity. In any class, you must master the Reis.

Ashley approached Bruce meanwhile, and Edwin took goodbye from him and left.

Ashely asked Bruce about the second round. Bruce instructed Ashley that the second round will be a team battle. The team of four individual Ar would be facing one of the strongest Zar. The second round is not that important as the ranking purpose. It is essential to test an individual against a skillful opponent. It is also a test for Zar. To verify his ability to fight 1v4. Because for Zar rankers, missions are slightly life-threatening.

Ashley asked Bruce who are her teammates. Bruce answered that the mages already decided that too. Tomorrow morning everyone who passed will receive the squad formation.
