The Unsurpassed Maiden

Mi Young and Hae Choon both watch as the huge beast lash out its anger on the solid walls. It made dent marks on the wall just like earlier. However, the enchanted walls went back to their original form once again.

"Whoever made this room must be a strong spellcaster." Hae Choon whispers as they try to hide beneath the pile of feathers.

"How can you say so?" The black haired girl whispers back. She rolled her eyes at their entire surroundings and realized that even though the whole room was shaking, the ceilings and the walls remained intact.

"Casting a spell this huge to keep a monster requires tons of mana power. Not to add that the spell used inside this room is a grade A spell." Hae Choon explains.

"Grade A? There are grades for each spell?"

Hae Choon nodded his head. "Yes. All spells have their own level of power. The spells you used are grade B spells. For a newbie, it's already amazing so you should cheer up. For example, that invisible spell you used against yourself earlier is a grade B spell. Everyone who doesn't know spells or has lower spell grades than you wouldn't be able to see through your spell."

"But the masked man and you were able to sense me." Mi Young says, voice so low Hae Choon almost didn't hear it.

"That's true. That's because I have eyes that can see through spells higher than grade A." Hae Choon explains. "That's also probably why the masked man earlier can see you. Maybe he has eyes like mine."

Mi young was about to ask more about spells to Hae Choon but the moment she was about to open her mouth, a sudden zap that sounded not too far away from them took away her attention.

Both the black haired girl and Hae Choon looked at the beast, and when they realized what the creature was trying to do, their eyes widened in surprise.

"Sh*t." Hae Choon replies, worried, reflecting on his eyes.

Mi Young's expression wasn't far away from the other party's as she looked at the thousands of Electro thunderbolts coming from the ceiling. It was so weird because there was no sky at all, but looking at the thunderbolts coming from up above them, Mi Young starts to think if there really was a ceiling above them or was it just part of the illusion inside the room.

"Look out!" The black haired girl snaps back to the present the moment she hears Hae Choon shout and when she feels the other boy pushing her away from him.

Just as soon as her body collided with the floor because of how strong Are Chopin's opus was, a thunderbolt hit the spot where she was hiding from earlier.

Mi Young looks at the smoldering spot with a black mark on it with shock. If it wasn't for Hae Choon she would have died already.

"Speaking of Hae Choon…" Mi Young whispers. She immediately went up on her two feet as she scanned the area where they were hiding earlier. The moment she spotted the boy just a few feet away from their spot, looking all bloodied and gasping for air, Mi Young's heart clenched in pain. "Hae Choon!"

Mi Young runs toward her friend. She sees Hae Choon biting his lip to stop himself from screaming in pain. "Hae Choon! Oh my god."

She never felt so useless before. The black haired girl starts to panic the moment she sees the huge burnt mark on the boy's arms. "I did this to you. I'm so sorry." Mi Young continues to cry out as she tries to think about something to help ease the pain Hae Choon was currently feeling.

However, she didn't have enough time to heal Hae Choon's wounds when a loud roar echoed all throughout the room. Mi Young turns around to see the giant beast looking down at her with anger and malice.

To her, it felt like the beats were saying like 'you finally showed up, now it's time to kill you both'.

The angry beast let out another roar before it started to move towards Mi Young and Hae Choon's direction.

"I'm so sorry, Hae Choon but we need to get up now or else we'll both end up dead." The black haired girl says towards her friend. However, she knew that the other party could barely hear her since he was too lost in the pain. She immediately helped the box to stand up by putting one of his arms around her neck.

Mi Young supported Hae Choon using her other free hand and put it on the boy's waist to support him, and they both limped towards the other part of the room and away from the beast. It was a good thing that the beast was much slower now. However, its eyes got even redder and the black haired girl hoped that it wasn't an indication about something terrible.

The black haired girl was in so much confusion and fear, all she could think about was getting Hae Choon to safety no matter what happens and even if it costs her own life.

Just as she was about to lose all her hope, she notices an odd looking pillar which was located at the far right corner of the whole room. It was almost on the edge of the room and it looked unscathed despite the destruction the beats just made a while ago. Thinking that it was some sort of a coincidence given by the gods, she gingerly put Hae Choon beside the pillar and made him lean against it.

"I'll be back, I promise. We'll both get out of here." Mi Young worshipers as she brushes Hae Choon's fringe away from his eyes. She gives the other party a firm squeeze before she runs back towards where the beast can see her clearly.

"Hey ugly! I'm here! You want to have a fight? Come!" Mi Young shouts at the top of her lungs. She even waved her hands up in the air just to get the beast's attention.

When she sees the creature's eyes locked on hers and away from Hae Choon's, Mi Young runs as fast as she can towards the other side of the room. She made sure it was as far as possible from Hae Choon. She didn't even think about how she would defeat the huge beast, all she could think about was to take away the beast's attention from her friend and to make Hae Choon survive no matter what.

Mi Young can feel the beast following closely behind her and the moment she looks around to see where it already was, the beast slash its hands towards her. Mi Young was lucky that she was fast enough to dodge it. However, the sudden action made her roll to her sides and it made the beast catch up to her.

"F*ck!" Mi Young shouts as the beast moves its left foot to stomp at her. She rolled to her side once more to avoid it. The beast was indeed slow, maybe because of its size but it sure wasn't stupid. Mi Young notices this the moment when she was about to run underneath it, the beast falls on its belly so the black haired girl couldn't hide underneath its body.

Having no choice at all, Mi Young opted to run on top of it instead. This immediately confused the beast for a moment because it didn't immediately react. However, just as Mi Young attacked its body by firing nonstop fireballs on it, the beast started to roar in anger.

The black haired girl lost her balance a couple of times but she remained on top of the beast. She sees her attack giving burnt marks all over the beast and it somehow made her feel happy that at least the beast wasn't invisible like she used to think.

However, just as she was about to land another attack on it, the beast suddenly started humping its body against the wall, making Mi Young lose her balance again. It repeated its action a couple of times until the black haired girl couldn't stand anymore.

Mi Young curses out loud before she decided to jump off the beast's back, it was making her feel dizzy and she couldn't let herself be dizzy at the moment because if she would allow that to happen, no one will be able to help her and Hae Choon.

Thinking about her friend right now, Mi Young was suddenly filled with guilt and anger.

Not knowing what to do anymore, the black haired girl shouts at the top of her lungs as she summons another huge fireball, calling out most of her Pyro power. She then throws it towards the creature the moment it opens its mouth to let out another series of roar.

Mi Young thought that her plan didn't work but as soon as the fireball hit the beast's open mouth, the creature started to lose its footing as it trashed on the ground in pain.

"That's for hurting my friend." The black haired girl says as she looks at the beast who was still trying to ease the pain it was experiencing.. However, Mi Young's fireball has already caused a huge damage to this mouth.
