The Unsurpassed Maiden

Kwon Ji Hyun dodges her attack by creating an earth barrier between them. Mi Young whistles at the boy's fast reflexes.

"You're fast."

"Thank you, that's one of my best skills." Ji Hyun answers with a gentle smile. "Shall we resume?"

Mi Young winks at him before they start battling one another again.

When she looks at her side, she realizes that the dark blue haired boy from the Anemo faction, whose name she still doesn't know until now, is also engaged in a battle with the other twin.

"Hey! Focus on me!" Kwon Ji Hyun says before he fires a huge rock towards Mi Young's direction.

Now, Mi Young has battled against Se Heon before, who was a strong Geo user and a child from the Four Great clans, and she thinks that the other party is already a master. But she never imagined fighting against a child from the Four Great clans and is from the Geo family will be totally different.

Se Heon was already a master in Geo but he's not from the Geo family which makes her current fight harder than she had imagined.

This Kwon Ji Hyun has been using the Geo element since he was a kid so his mastery of the element is totally different from Se Heon's.

"You're not focused enough." Kwon Ji Hyun says when he suddenly appears behind Mi Young. The girl immediately crouches down on the ground in order to avoid the other party's punch but Ji Hyun expects that move from her as he kicks her in the stomach. "I told you, I don't like it if my enemy is not focused on me. It makes me feel like I'm not worthy to be your opponent."

Mi Young stumbles backwards from the strong kick. She can feel the pain travelling to all parts of her body as she tries to stand up straight. She looks at the enemy before she answers with a smirk. "That was a strong kick. Is that one of your assets as well?"

The Kwon boy was about to answer her but he was stopped when Mi Young suddenly attacked him with her fireballs. Kwon Ji Hyun was lucky enough to dodge the attack but his shoulders were scraped a little.

The boy hissed as he felt the burn on his shoulder.

"You're smart." The boy says while smirking at her. Mi Young curtsied dramatically.

And with that, they started throwing punches and kicks at each other one after another.

They started fighting at noon and Mi Young noticed that the sky was starting to emit an orange hue, a sign that the sun was about to set. She puts her hands on her knees in order to catch her breathing, eyes never leaving the opponent in front of her who was also doing the same thing.

"We've been fighting for hours." The boy says in between his breaths.

"Yeah. I guess so?" Mi Young answers while she stands up.

Kwon Ji Hyun stands up as well. He searches for their surroundings before he spotted his twin. "They're done already. I wonder who won."

Mi Young follows the boy's gaze and sees one of the twins relaxing on the grass together with the dark blue haired boy from the Anemo faction. The both of them were looking at the sky as they both talked with each other casually as if they weren't fighting earlier.

"So what are we going to do now?" Mi Young asks. "I'm tired of fighting. Clearly, there's no winner between us seeing as we have almost the same level of kicks and punches."

"True." Kwon Ji Hyun says as he dusted off his now soiled clothes. "Why don't we try another type of fight?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, this is just a suggestion and it's up to you whether you accept it or not." Ji Hyun says as he smiles at Mi Young.

"Shoot."

"Back in our town, there's this game called Catch The Thief." The brown haired boy starts to explain. "It's a pretty simple game where one will be the thief and the other will be the one who will catch the thief. For now, I will play as the thief while you try to catch me."

"What am I supposed to do?"

Kwon Ji Hyun chuckles before he fishes out a rock from his pocket. "This is a Red Stone. Only a few people in the academy have this."

"Uhn. I have one but I gave it in exchange for a penthouse."

"Y-You have one?" Kwon Ji Hyun asks, eyes reflecting disbelief and amazement at the same time. Mi Young only nodded her head at his question. The boy clears his throat before continuing his explanation, "Well anyways, if you manage to get this from me in a span of ten minutes, I will give this to you and surrender from our captain versus captain battle."

"That's all?"

Ji Hyun nodded. "Uhn. It's that easy."

"I feel like there's something more to it though." Mi Young says, eyes looking at the boy with suspicion.

Kwon Ji Hyun let out a boyish laugh before he started to say, "If you fail to get this stone from me within ten minutes, you have to surrender and declare me as the winner and be my slave for a month. How's that sound?"

"Why do I have to be your slave? Are you a pervert?" Mi Young asks.

The boy looks at her with a horrified and embarrassed expression, "O-Of course not! I just want to make everyone see that I can make anyone my slave!"

"You're definitely a pervert." Mi Young deadpans. The other party was about to say something back but Mi Young cut him off completely, "However, I will accept your proposal."

"Really?" Ji Hyun asks, the excitement in his voice is very evident to Mi Young. "Are you not afraid of being my slave?"

"Are you sure you're going to win?" Mi Young questions.

There was a proud look on Ji Hyun's face before he answered Mi Young, "No one has caught me in my town. Not even my twin."

"Let's see then." Mi Young says before she starts to advance towards the boy.

Kwon Ji Hyun lets out a roar of laughter before he starts to run away from Mi Young.

The black haired girl has to admit, Kwon Ji Hyun is indeed fast. Aside from that, he keeps on making these huge pillars of earth that he uses as his means of escape the moment Mi Young is about to catch up on him.

There's this one time where Mi Young cornered him using her water barrier but Ji Hyun managed to get away by making the ground where he was standing rise up to the sky until Mi Young couldn't reach him anymore.

And there was also this moment where MI Young set everything around him on fire so he had no other way to go but he made the rock, where Mi Young was standing, move, which caused the black haired girl to stumble, and which also resulted in her fire vanishing the moment she lost focus.

Mi Young knew that she's running out of time and she wanted to go back in time and change the part where she agreed upon this stupid game. Sometimes, she really wanted to strangle herself for being so impulsive. Now, she will lose a battle that's not even called a fight.

"Getting tired already?" Kwon Ji Hyun asks while he looks down at Mi Young from where he was sitting on a huge stone pillar.

"Get down there and I'll show you how much energy still remains in my system." Kwon Ji Hyun just laughed at her answer. What an arrogant man. Mi Young thought.

She tries to fire her phoenix technique at him to make him fall from the pillar but the boy just made another pillar that caught him once he went falling from the stone pillar.

Mi Young really wished she could control the earth so she could make his bloody Geo element stop.

Then a thought crossed her mind.

Mi Young wonders if her plan would work. She's not sure if she can do it but she's hoping that her persistence and perseverance will pay off. The black haired girl hopes everything will go according to her will.

"What are you thinking?" The boy asks. "Are you going to give up now?"

"Who said something about giving up?" Mi Young asks. She straightens her back as she smirks at the brown haired boy. "I thought I told you earlier that there's someone who will finally catch you."

"I thought I told you earlier that that notion would be a total load of crap, knowing how fast and good I am."

Mi Young answered him with a smirk. "Let's end this once and for all."

"Fine. You asked for it." Kwon Ji Hyun says as he executes a defensive battle technique.

Mi Young followed suit as she also made movements using a technique that she's going to try out for the first time.

Kwon Ji Hyun was the first to finish and he ran around Mi Young with great speed. He keeps on running around the black haired girl in a circular motion making the oxygen around her deplete.

However, Mi Young remained calm as she waited for the right moment to come.

She can hear Kwon Ji Hyun laughing around her as he runs at a fast speed, Mi Young can't even see him at all. If she doesn't know the boy, she would have think of him as someone from the Anemo faction given how fast he was running.

But then Mi Young sees an opportunity and if she stands there for a little longer, all the air around her will vanish and she will be utterly defeated.

So with a final movement , Mi Young stomps on the ground as she makes  a series of hand gestures before she pushes two of her fingers forward.

Immediately, the barrier around her created because of the speed of Kwon Ji Hyun's running vanished.

When Mi Young looks at her front, she sees Kwon Ji Hyun looking at her with wide eyes while he tries to get away from the solid grip on his feet.

He wasn't able to execute a battle technique as well because his feet were stuck which means he's completely vulnerable in front of Mi Young.

The black haired girl walks up towards Kwon Ji Hyun before she gets the Red Stone from his pocket. "Thank you."

"H-How…" Kwon Ji Hyun starts to say. However, Mi Young didn't say anything as she walked away, leaving half of the boy's feet buried deep in the ground.

"Let's go." Mi Young says while calling out for the dark blue haired boy.

The said boy, together with the other twin, was looking at her with wide eyes while they looked back and forth between Mi Young and Ji Hyun.

It was Kwon Jin Young who spoke first, "You can control the Geo element as well?"
