The Unsurpassed Maiden

Mi Young didn't waste any of her time as she threw a fireball the second her teammate, Moon Byul, stepped foot into the area where the other Pyro faction's base is.

Immediately, the two Pyro Mages guarding the front of their base readied their battle techniques in order to attack the running girl.

"Look out!" The other Pyro captain shouts as he sees Mi Young's fireball. He turns his gaze towards Mi Young and the moment he sees the black haired girl, his face turns sour. "You!"

However, Mi Young didn't spare him any glance, all she could focus on was saving her own teammate. She would deal with the captain later.

"Moon Byul!" Mi Young shouts as she runs towards the girl who was looking so scared, ignoring the other Pyro captain who tired to block her way. There, Mi Young saw a group of boys running after her teammate. The black haired girl reaches for her hand so the other girl can grab it. "Come on!"

Moon Byul stretches her hands to grab the black haired girl's hands. When Mi Young touches Moon Byul's hands, she instantly grabs the other girl's hands and pulls her towards her the moment a fireball comes from the Pyro captain and a strong gust of wind is thrown at them.

Mi Young summons all her might in order to produce the strongest shield.

She hears her other teammates shouting their names but it all goes mute when a bubble of water surrounds them both. Mi Young even heard Moon Byul's scared scream but when the other girl realizes that nothing happened to them, she looks up from Mi Young's arms as she looks at the water barrier shielding them.

"Mi Young…." Moon Byul whispers while looking at Mi Young like she's about to cry. "Mi Young!"

The girl repeats Mi Young's name like a prayer, as she hugs the black haired girl even tighter. Mi Young returned the hug as she comforted her teammate who was shaking in fear. Then she looks at the Anemo captain who was looking at her as well.

"You're breaking the rules." Mi Young says, eyes turning icy. With a cold voice she continues, "You'll pay for hurting her."

"Is that so?" The Anemo captain says with an arrogant smirk. "Show me what you got then. Besides, you don't have any choice since you ought to battle with me seeing as you are a captain as well."

"I am also a capt—"

Mi Young didn't even look at the other Pyro captain as she fired an attack at him. Powered with her boiling rage, the attack thrown at the Pyro captain was so strong he flew across the other side of the clearing. Immediately, after seeing their captain flying to the other side of the area, the other Pyro Mages from the other Pyro faction backs out. They immediately changed their course and went to check on their captain.

The black haired girl turns to Shi Yun who was looking at her with shock, as well as the other members of her team. "Take care of her."

After giving the still shaking Moon Byul to her other teammates, Mi Young walks calmly towards the Anemo faction. The other captain claps his hands as he sees Mi Young approaching them.

"You. Me. Now." Mi Young says while looking at the other party with a death glare.

The captain from the Anemo faction didn't seem fazed with the black haired girl's challenge as he tells his teammates to let him and Mi Young be.

While the other team captain was instructing his team what to do, Mi Young sent a signal to Jong In who, thank God, immediately understood what she meant to say. The tan skinned boy nods his head before immediately running towards the abandoned tent.

"I see, Xiao Lu is with you." The Anemo captain says as he steps forward so he can be closer towards his enemy. He waves at Xiao Lu before saying, "I hope you didn't betray us even if you have found her first!"

"I will never." Xiao Lu says as he sits on the ground not too far away from them. "Let me watch your battle first."

"I am honored." The Anemo captain says while giving him a slight bow. Then he turns to Mi Young, "Shall we?"

Mi Young didn't wait for anything else as she executed her battle technique the moment the other captain also executed his'. Without wasting any time the two captains immediately engaged in a one on one battle.

The black haired girl was so mad she didn't even know where all her mana was coming from. All Mi Young can think about is that she needs to eliminate the person standing in front of her. The people she hates the most are those who think so highly of themselves that they even forget to follow the rules just to hurt other people. Mi Young wants nothing but to bury them deep underground.

"You'll pay for what you did to Moon Byul." Mi Young says remembering the thousands of cuts and bruises she saw on her other teammate's body.

"Is that so? Maybe you'll get fired up once you know how much we tortured her back when she was still our prisoner." The Anemo captain says while giving Mi Young a sly smile.

Mi Young sees red. She shouts from the deepest part of her lungs.

The moment she does so, the ground beneath them shakes so hard it causes an earthquake. The Anemo captain as well as his other team members fell on their butts because of the huge impact of Mi Young's small earthquake.

The black haired girl sees an opportunity to attack the captain so she immediately executes her Phoenix secret art to attack the unsuspecting team captain.

The phoenix soars through the sky before flying towards the Anemo captain with a fast speed.

"Sh*t!" The Anemo captain shouts as he executes a battle technique. Before the phoenix can even hit him, the Anemo captain immediately flies away from where he was crouching earlier.

Mi Young didn't stop her attack as she called on another phoenix to attack the captain. However, just like what happened earlier, the Anemo captain escapes through his technique.

Getting frustrated, Mi Young throws on non-stop fireballs at the other team captain instead.

"Stop running away!" Mi Young shouts as she throws another fireball at the captain.

"I'm not crazy enough to do that!" The captain says before he throws a wind barrier between him and the black haired girl. Since Mi Young was preoccupied, he took this as an opportunity to execute another battle technique.

Immediately, a strong gust of wind mixed with fire starts circling around Mi Young. She realized that the scene in front of her was familiar, and then she remembers the Seelie Queen she battled back in the past. Mi Young rolls her eyes before she distinguishes the fire using a Hydro technique she learned from Soo Young's journal.

The technique she used immediately produced a water dragon who roared once before crashing its body all over the wind surrounding the black haired girl.

"So you can use three elements, that's new." The Anemo captain says with a whistle. "Although you have a lot of potential, what you lack is experience. So you're going to lose for now."

After saying that, the Anemo captain immediately throws a blazing fire shaped like a bull towards Mi Young's direction. Surprised with the sudden attack while she was still busy putting out the fire and the tornado, Mi Young almost got hit with the other captain's fire.

"Damn." Mi Young whispers to herself while she rolls on the other side of the clearing where she was standing in order to avoid the bull who was running towards her again. "Does it have a mind of its own?"

She never imagined such techniques exist where you can control your attacks and give them a mind on their own. Mi Young was so distracted that she forgot about the fiery bull who was now in front of her.

Mi Young's body collided with the bull which caused her to stumble on the ground with first degree burns all over her body.

"I never imagine you would be this weak." The Anemo captain says as he starts to walk towards Mi Young with an arrogant smile. "I thought you would be a worthy opponent. Turns out you are just like your other teammate who only knows how to scream every time my fire burns her."

Imagining the agony and pain Moon Byul went through, Mi Young grits her teeth in anger. She supports her body as she stands up, not caring if her body is aching from the burns she just got. "I told you, you will pay for this."

"Based from what I am seeing right now you are in no state of hurt—"

Mi Young moves her hand in a fast manner as she makes a gesture to call out the earth below. Instantly, the ground where the Anemo captain was standing turned into a quicksand which immediately held him down.

The captain looks confused as he checks his feet, "What the hell is this?"

Mi Young smirks while looking at the other captain. "Payment."

That was the only thing she said before she executed the Sealing Earth Technique, making the ground below the captain open up, swallowing and burying the team captain and leaving no trace of the other person at all.
