The Unsurpassed Maiden

"Sir, I think you have mistaken me for someone else." Mi Young starts to say. Then a tall, slender and mean looking woman appears behind the buff man.

"She's right, Clan Head Kwon. I think you meant to ask a professor from this academy to teach you but not a student. Right?" The woman questions, sounding unsure.

"Nonsense!" The Geo Clan Head answers while waving a dismissing hand at the woman. "What are you trying to say Secretary Cha? This young girl right here is the one who will teach me the Sealing Earth Technique and restore the pride and dignity of the Kwon clan and all of them? Geo users!"

Everyone's mouth who were already hanging open earlier, opened even more while hearing what the Geo Clan Head was saying. They all turned to look at Mi Young with the same questions running inside their minds.

"'How were you able to make the proud and arrogant Geo Clan Head like an excited child who wants to experience his first ever elemental lessons?'

Seeing the determined look on the Geo Clan Head's face, Mi9 Young shrugs before scratching her head.

"Uhm…alright. But I want to rest for now and I'll send you a message once I'm free." Mi Young answers.

'Huuu!' Everyone listening to Mi Young's words wanted to spit out blood the moment those words left the young girl's mouth. 'Are you really saying something like that to the Geo Clan Head as if he's someone not important?'

Thinking that the Geo Clan Head will take back his words , seeing how arrogant the black haired girl was acting, the people started to feel fear and scared for the young girl.

However, the Geo Clan Head did something that shocked them even more.

The buff and tall man bows formally at the black haired girl before saying, "Alright! I will wait for your message teacher!"

"T-Teacher?"

"The Geo Clan Head is calling her his teacher?"

"Please tell me I am hearing and seeing things."

Everyone around them wanted to die right that instant after seeing the two people's interaction. They awaited for Mi Young's response before the black haired girl shrugs her head and then proceeds to walk past the Geo Clan Head, who was still bowing, like he isn't someone so important.

"Mi Young, where are you getting all that confidence?" Jong Ion facepalms, seeing his friend's reaction. Then he continued to whisper to himself, "I don't know if you are just confident or you are a total idiot…"

Then the Geo Clan Head stands up straight after letting the black haired girl walk past him. He looks at the people watching before asking in a cold and loud voice, "What are you all looking at?"

The people who had witnessed the scene unfold in front of them jumped out in fear with the sudden attention from the Geo Clan Head. Thinking that they will have to face the wrath of the buff man, everyone scurried off immediately, but not without bowing their heads to the powerful man in front.

Shi Yun and the other teammates of the black haired girl only scratches themselves upon remembering their team captain's encounter with the clan head.

They remained silent while walking towards where Mi Young went.

Ho Shi was the first to break the awkward atmosphere. "I can't believe the Geo Clan Head is calling our captain his teacher. Does that mean we can now call him our junior?"

Ha Ru chuckled beside him and with an excited voice he said, "Right? Since we are the captain's subordinates and he's a newbie student, we can call him our junior!"

"Stop saying things like that with a loud voice!" Jong In scolds the two. Then he looked at their surroundings before sighing in relief when he saw no one present aside from them, "If someone hears you saying those things about the Geo Clan Head, he might punish us."

"We were just kidding." Ha Ru says in a childish voice.

"Still! It might sound disrespectful to someone else!" Jong In continues to scold. The two students bow their heads before saying sorry, completely forgetting that months ago, they were bullying this kid in front of them. However, because of the black haired girl and the lessons she has taught Jong In, the tan skinned male immediately rose to a higher rank than them.

"Stop bickering like children!" Shi Yun says before leaving them behind and entering the door that leads to their personal team chambers.

"Mi Young! I can't believe the Geo Clan Head calls you his teacher!" Jong In instantly says the moment he saw the black haired girl sitting casually at her chair. The girl looked tired as she was closing her eyes. "So if he is your student, then is he our junior?"

Ho Shi and Ha Ru whipped their heads upon hearing Jong In's question. 'Are you seriously asking her that when moments ago you were scolding us for saying those things. Talk about disrespect.'

Mi Young opens her eyes for a second before she starts to pout as if she's thinking about something. Then she turns to Jong In with a serious look, "You're right! If he's a newbie student under my care then you are a rank higher than him. Feel free to call him your junior."

"Cool then!" Jong In says happily.

Shi Yun, who was just listening to the others talk all along, rolled his eyes at Mi Young's comment. "Say that in front of the Geo users and they will see to it that you will breathe your last oxygen after saying those words."

The other four all puffed out their breaths at the raven haired boy's words as they all said in unison, "Kill joy."

Shi Yun was about to tell them that he was just concerned for their well being when the doors of their chamber opened, revealing a smiling Moon Byul.

"Congratulations to us guys!" Everyone immediately walked off towards the newcomer with Hop Shi leading them.

"Hey! Are you feeling alright?" The boy asks while eyeing Moon Byul with pure concern.

"Uhn. The doctor only told me to rest for a while." The girl replied with a shy smile.

"That's good to hear. I'm glad you are fine."

Moon Byul thanks him before she runs towards their team captain. "Mi Young!"

The rest of the day, the whole team spent their time congratulating each other and resting together.

The day after the class battle ended, Mi Young immediately went off to search for techniques like the Anemo captain displayed when they were battling each other.

The black haired girl wo0ke up early to search at the library and hours have already passed but still she found nothing.

Mi Young slumps back on  her chair as she scratches her head in confusion.

"Where the hell are those books?"

"Having trouble with something?" Another voice says behind Mi Young. The black haired girl looks up to see her favorite teacher coming into view.

"Lady Ning Gwang!"

"I told you to call me Teacher many times already." The beautiful lady says while rolling her eyes and crossing her arms at the black haired girl.

"Sorry." Mi Young says before she offers her seat in front of her for her teacher to take. "Where did you go? I heard you were gone for weeks."

"I was busy dealing with….myself." The white haired woman says while looking at Mi Young expectantly.

The black haired girl raises one of her eyebrows at her, "Really? Are you okay then? Have you dealt with yourself already?"

"Uhn. Now I know why it keep[s on happening to me." The lady replies.

"What is?"

Lady Ning Gwang only answered her with a wink and a knowing smile. Then she asks Mi Young about her problem, "Why are you here anyway? You look troubled,."

The black haired girl sighs before asking the librarian a question. "I encountered this man during the class battle and saw him show off a skill that can make you produce an animal of your own element with a mind of its own. Is that really possible or I was just seeing things?"

"Hmm…" Lady Ning Gwang hummed. "Were you fighting off with Kris? The Anemo kid?"

"Yes! How did you know?"

"There are only three students here in the academy that can use a special technique like that."

"So there's really a technique for that?" Mi young asks excitedly.

"Indeed there is." Lady Ning Gwang replies. "Why are you so obsessed with these techniques?"

"I find them unique and I want to learn them." Mi Young says. Then she turns to the many books placed in front of her. "I tried looking for books about them but I found no information at all."

"That's because books that contain those special techniques were burned." Lady Ning Gwang answers with a sad smile. "All of them were reduced to nothing but ashes."

"But why? These techniques could have helped us achieve a higher rank and become more powerful." Mi Young protests. She couldn't believe people were robbed off with a good knowledge like that.

"And that is exactly why they were burned." The librarian continues. There was melancholy reflecting in her eyes as she said her next words. "Because the higher ranking Mages were afraid that normal Mages would overpower them if they learned those special techniques."

"Who would…"

"The King himself was afraid as well which is why he ordered his men to burn them all."

Mi Young slumps back to her chair, hating the fact that people like them exist and that she lost her only chance to learn the special technique.

"But I know someone who can help you learn it.." Lady Ning Gwang says with a mischievous smile.
