Transmigrated Into The Book

As the wind passed, it caressed the thin curtain. The chilly night made the omega under the blanket groan. 

He twisted to the other side of his bed and pulled the other pillow, hugging it tightly. 

"Ngh…" Yuxian grunts after realizing that he was feeling boiling. He curled his body around and slowly opened his eyes. He was alone.

The dim light coming from the moon gave him a support to scan his surroundings. He remembered the medicine beside his bed. 

"What time is it?" Yuxian asked himself, lifting his upper torso and leaning on the bedhead.

When his arms crawled towards the table, his water bottle fell down. It was empty, and he needed to go downstairs to the kitchen to fill it in.

Yuxian frowned as he rubbed both of his eyes. "How troublesome," he cursed under his heavy breaths. It was his fault. He said that he would bring two water bottles upstairs but ended up only with one.

He caressed the blanket covering his legs, letting his toes touch the cold tiles. Yuxian quickly found his cotton slippers. 

He slowly trudged towards the door and opened it. The empty and quiet small hallway welcomed him. He tugged his night robe towards his body. It was cold, and he was chilling.

Yuxian leaned his palm on the wall, supporting himself just in case. He already took all the medicines Jiangye prescribed, but it seems like his fever is still high.

"Ngh.. I'm dizzy," the male mumbled to himself. He paused when he reached the stairs, adjusting his visions. "Should I open the lights?" He asked himself for a minute.

He ended up finding the switch. Everyone was sleeping, so maybe it was okay.

The bright light from the big and extravagant chandelier in the middle of the house almost blinded Yuxian. He used his other arm to cover his eyes. "So bright," he complained.

He released a deep breath and took the stairs down, slowly and surely. The omega was gripping tightly on the ledge. 

After taking the stairs down, he slid down while catching his breaths. He was cold but sweating really hard. Yuxian tried to calm himself by taking small gasps. He clenched his chest. 

He tried to stand up, grabbing the ledge beside him. The bottle of water in his arms fell down. That's when Yuxian felt his body collapse.

Before the omega hit the floor, Jiang Chen hurriedly caught him. "M-Master?" He tapped Yuxian's cheeks to check if he was okay.

Jiang Chen carried the male back to his room. Yuxian was boiling, like he would burst out any time. Of course, Jiang Chen felt responsible because the Doctor asked him to look after the male.

"What should I do? What should I do?" Jiang Chen asked himself while walking back and forth biting his nails. He already called Jiangye and now he wanted to give at least first aid.

Just when he was about to turn around again, the phone placed on the omega's study table rang continuously. Jiang Chen jolted from surprise. A familiar name under the nickname 'honey' flashed on the screen.

And because the male didn't know what to do, he answered it. "H-Hello!?" He blurted out.

Rui Jun couldn't sleep, so his face was a little grumpy. He blinked his eyes upon seeing Jiang Chen on the screen. "Why are you holding my wife's phone?" Not assuming anything, he asked in a calm tone.

Jiang Chen felt the shivers down to his spine. "Mister Zhang, I'm sorry! I don't have any intention in answering calls that weren't mine, but your wife needs help!" He exclaimed continuously, not even taking a breath.

Rui Jun, who was sitting on his bed, sprang up. "What do you mean?!" He also exclaimed.

"Your wife had a fever, I already called the doctor, and she was also on her way," Jiang Chen replied, still with his trembling voice.

"Shit!" The alpha kicked the desk beside his bed. All of his blood rushed up to his head, and he felt like he was going to explode. His chest hurts and stings like crazy. "I should be by his side now!" He cursed again.

Jiang Chen was also panicking because Yuxian was now groaning with fatigue. He wanted to do something for the omega, but he wasn't the one he needed because they bonded Yuxian to Rui Jun.

The doorbell rang…

Jiang Chen ran down the stairs, straight to the main door. Jiangye also greeted him with a worried face. "Where is he?" she asked, trudging forward.

"He was in his room," the male answered, following behind her.

Jiangye reached the bedroom and immediately examined the omega's body. She's also calming herself because she didn't want to scare Yuxian or Jiang Chen.

"Yuxian? Can you hear me?" The lady tried to call the male's name by gripping his hand. Yuxian tightened his grip. "J-Jiang-ye…" he mumbled.

Upon checking his status, the lady quickly grabbed the phone that was still going with the call. "Rui Jun! Are you there?" She called out.

The alpha from the other line flinched and replied. "I am here! What is happening?!" He almost yelled.

"Hold it!" Jiangye pushed the phone to Jiang Chen, telling him to hold it for her. She quickly took a syringe with a fluid inside, she pressed Yuxian's nerves and impaled it straight. "This will calm him down but we needed to bring him to the Hospital.'' She said,

Jiangye faced Rui Jun from the screen. "Rui Jun, listen! Yuxian needed to be confined... I don't want him and the baby to be in danger," she said, packing her things back.

The alpha felt that he really needed to see his wife right now. "Please bring him this instant! I will catch a flight later," he said before ending the call.

Jiang Chen saw how the alpha cared so much for his wife. He clenched his fist. "Doctor, please let me help!" He proclaimed. 

The lady paused for a while, but quickly tapped his shoulders. "I will start the car. Please carry him downstairs with care.." She ordered, warm and gentle voice.
