Transmigrated Into The Book

"You have come again to see me"

He opened his eyes. It surprised him when everything turned to darkness. The familiar voice chuckled lightly, he raised his head. "Where am I?" he uttered.

"Have you forgotten me, Chen Yang?" 

Only Yang realized that he was back in the illusion place, where there was only darkness. He was there not as Lan Xianyu but as Chen Yang. 

"Don't worry, I didn't seal all of your memories"

When the voice said that, Yang jolted. He suddenly remembered this familiar face and the familiar voice he was hearing. He gasped and roamed his eyes. In the middle, a light emerged. That light made a circled halo and from it, a book elated. 

The book opened on its own and flipped the pages, that's the only thing Yang witnessed. The man talking to him remained hidden. 

"Show yourself!" Yang shouted, his voice echoed. 

Instead of getting an answer, the book in front of him lightened up once again. Flipping its pages slowly, Yang widened his eyes. A square holograms showed up in front of him, it played a familiar scenes. 

The first one was when Yang rode the bus and accidentally picked up the book.

The second one, the bus stopped when a stray dog crossed the street.

Yang flinched, "I remembered it!!" he exclaimed. "It's my job interview!" his forehead creased when he saw himself on a stretcher, head bleeding. "WAIT!" he sprang. "Why am I on the stretcher?!" 

Another square hologram popped out in front of him, it showed a scene where he was in a hospital, unconscious. Different machines and apparatus connected to his body. He was sleeping in the hospital bed. 

"What happened?! My interview that day went smoothly and...and the company told me to wait for their call, why am In the hospital?" he asked.

The holograms disappeared one by one, then the voice spoke again. "The moment you picked the book and saw your name, everything changed." he said. "Chen Yang, that day, you got into an accident"

Yang was taken aback and widened his eyes. "WHAT?!!" He gulped. "You're tricking me! I took off the bus that day safely. I don't remember any accident," he insisted.

"It was all the book's power." the voice replied. "Worry not, you are not dead in your own world, you are in a coma…" 

"Coma?!" Yang exclaimed. "Is that why you want to get my soul, do you want me dead?! Just who are you?!" this time, it irritated Yang.

Thus the voice wasn't even provoked, he laughed. "Don't be full of yourself, Chen Yang...I am here to help you," 

Chen Yang squinted his eyes. "What help are you talking about? It is very clear that you only want my soul!" he said, knitted brows.

This time, Yang felt something crawling around his body. When he noticed it, he was already chained. He struggled and yanked, but the chains were getting together with each move. 

He grunted, "What are you doing?!" he exclaimed, gritting his teeth. The chains tightened again. His hands tied behind and his legs squeezed together. Not only his hands and legs were restrained, but also it enveloped his body up to his neck.

"What a view." This time, a figure emerged in front of him. He was all black from head to toe. He was wearing a mask and a black robe hooding his head. He was the owner of the voice.

Yang gritted his teeth and snarled. "Let me go!"

The man in black was tall, his deep voice was enough to give him shivers. An intimidating aura. He walked closer to Yang, his footsteps echoed. Behind his mask, a smirk was drawn. "Look at you, trying to act brave," he said.

Yang glared at him when he felt another part of the chains tightened. Wincing from pain, he snorted. "What are you planning to do with my soul, let me go, I don't have anything to do with----Argh!!" the chain around his neck was pulled by the man, making him choke.

With his angry expression, the man finds amusement. He pulled Yang closer and whispered. "You are now under my control, my prisoner,"

"Xianyu?"

"Xianyu?"

Xianyu shakes his head and blinks his eyes. The moment he saw Rouhan, he exclaimed. "Author!"

His sudden gesture startled Rouhan, so he covered Xianyu's mouth. "Don't get too loud. Someone might hear you," he uttered.

Xianyu nodded his head, so Rouhan took off his palm. "What did you see?" he asked.

"I am Chen Yang. I was transmigrated into this book, am I right? I was on my way to the company when I picked up this empty book," Xianyu stated. "Did I die?" he looked at Rouhan with intense eyes, waiting for an answer.

"You are not dead, but your real body was in a coma." Rouhan gazed at the wide forest trees outside the window. "I told you, you need to get your soul back to wake yourself up," he stated.

Xianyu lowered his head and massaged his temples. "Wait a minute, why am I even here in the first place? I don't understand. Why me?" he asked, pointing to himself.

"It is said that everything that happens to you in the future is connected to your past life."

Xianyu turned silent after hearing that long sentence. His forehead creased in confusion. "I don't understand," he mumbled.

Rouhan parted away from him and walked towards the door. He stopped and looked at Xianyu. "Your future and past are connected, try to understand it," he mumbled.

"Wait!!"

Xianyu dashed forward and pulled Rouhan's wrist. It made the male look back at him. "Author, are you also a part of my past?"

Three loud knocks thud behind the door.

"Hey, Xianyu! Are you there? I already served the food." It was Sun Wei's voice.

Since it startled both of them, Xianyu let go of Rouhan immediately. "S-Sorry," he mumbled before opening the door.

It surprised Sun Wei to see the two inside the room; he glared at Xianyu who just passed by him. He turned his head to Rouhan, "Master! Qi Zhou was looking for you everywhere" he slapped his own forehead. "We didn't know that you're here, let's eat." he said
